The Last Airbender!

Not going to lie, I was extremely disappointed. :(
I actually thought it was good. There were a few things that could have used improvement, but overall, I thought it was pretty good.

Well, I'm sorry, my friend, but it seems the majority of the internet agrees with me: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/last_airbender/

It takes a pretty terrible movie to get below 15%.

I take it you read the line where it said only 100+ reviews were recorded in there. I suppose taking the general idea from that website and out of the 100 people, many disliked it, but truth of the matter is, there are 1,000,000's of people of are seeing the movie, not only 100+ people. ;)

I suppose a better report would be to look at is: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0938283/ratings

It's 50/50 rating. It's either you didn't like it at all, or you loved it. Not many people are willing to be moderates, most are extreme at both levels.

I really hope that they do a good job. I love the cartoon series and can't wait to see the movies.

So I just finished watching it, overall It wasn't as bad as I've been hearing but it wasn't as good as it really should've been...

M. Night's two biggest mistakes,

1.) in the beginning they visit towns and the Airbending Temples however those scenes are so short and many of it simply look choppy at best, once they got to the Northern Water Tribe the story seemed to flow alot better, he should've just lengthing the time to 2 1/2 hours so that people could enjoy the movie better with more scenes that flowed rather than chop.

2.) His biggest mistake was this, he took someone else's idea and then tried to rewrite it rather than give the people what they wanted which was a live action version of the cartoon they love. His version was okay however he had to have known that he was setting himself up for a bit fall by doing this; especially since the names (pronuciation was changed), fighting and bending (longer to actually bend and simply too many choppy fighting scenes not to mention the Firebenders were weaken since many of them can only bend fire instead of creating it like they can in the show), and of course added things by taking away the original (such as the dragon spirit vs. Avatar Roku and merging Haru and Suki's villages together).

The actors also seemed very stiff and you didn't really believe they were the characters like in the show... the only one that was believable was the grandmother in the Southern Water Tribe. Zuko and Iroh were both okay but Sokka, Katara, and Aang were all very cold and stiff like they were just acting so of course they dissapointed me.

There were a few things I liked such as Gran Gran talking about Hamma and of course alot of the fighting scenes were pretty cool with the special effects. I also like that M. Night changed the comet's arrival to 3 years rather than next summer allowing for Noah's age to work alright with the story.

Over all the movie wasn't completely terrible and I do hope they make the other two, though they should just go ahead and fix their mistakes rather than allowing them to continue. They may also think about changing directors, I don't think Paramount is ready to give up on Avatar just yet considering the cartoon is very popular and people are only blaming M. Night for the movie's badness.

Two biggest mistaks were really:
1) Racially profiling each nation then having a black airbending monk.
2) Trying to make another good movie. He can't make movies anymore. Guy should accept it and move on.

Well I think they said that the Air Nomads were from every race kinda, but they also said that all Air Nomads were Benders which doesn't make alot of sense to me...

I will agree with you on the second part, I was worried about him directing the movie and I think my fears were justified... Especially since the trailers looked so good... though I had a bad feeling when I saw the Teaser Trailer since it didn't make any sense... I also wish the actors would've been chosen better, it seemed like none of the main cast had any emotion at all....

They're trying to take characters from a series that is very strong in character depth.... and crunch all of the plotlines into a two hour movie. Course it's not gonna be fantastic :/

Hah, my expectations are so low now that I'll probably enjoy the movie.

I thought the same thing but trust me it, the actors were all just bad... it was like trying to watch Adults Pretend to be Kids Pretending to be Adults... Epic Failure, even Aang was nothing like the character we all know and love...

LOve Love Love, the Nick Show the movie was good except the character changes weren't the best and the whole timeline change is understandable I guess if they want to make the next movies without having to get a new Aang every time.
