Nicolette sighed in relief when she had finally Hogwarts Grounds, she had been traveling quite a bit to get here and could honestly say she was a bit out of breath. She had owled the school some time ago, stating that she must meet with someone due to an emergency, hopefully they had gotten it before she arrived. Nicolette didn't want to be stuck out here forever, and she knew she obviously couldn't walk right into the school either. 'I should just be greatful I don't have to break the news to Patricia.' She sighed to herself and crossed her arms over her chest, honestly not knowing if she should feel worse for the young girl or one of her best friends, they both lost someone extremely important to him. Hopefully Patricia was able to handle it better than Nataliia obviously was, it was already hard enough to have one person break down in front of her. Glancing at the school once more she wondered what was going on inside, hopefully it wasn't anything too fun, because she was about to rain on a few people's parade with the news she brought.

"That fool picked the worst time to die." Nicolette grumbled to herself as she thought about all the trouble Jospeh was causing with this. It she could only bring him back, she'd sure give him a rough smack in the head for his dumb decision to die far earlier than he should have.

Nicolas had received an urgent owl only a few hours before the start of the Halloween feast, unsure of just how urgent "urgent" was Nicolas decided he would meet with the person who intended to come to the school and sort things out himself, allowing Cecily to chaperon the Halloween Feast without him and not have to worry about whatever this business was about. A few minutes before the letter had said the person would be at Hogwarts Nicolas folded up the piece of parchment and slipped it in to his pocket, picked his wand up off of its levitating stand, and exited his office - walking hastily toward the entrance to the school grounds.

Walking out on to the front lawn Nicolas looked up in to the sky - the sun was setting and he was surely a few minutes late to meet the school's visitor. He'd had to stop in the halls a few times and prod students to go to the feast, or break up couples of older students who had decided that snogging in an annex was cooler than the feast could ever be. Sighing at the fact that there was always something else to do, and something to keep him distracted from, Professor King approached the path that led to Brightstone Village.

Seeing a young woman waiting for him, Nicolas livened his step and finally closed the gap enough to call out to her, "I got your letter," He began, drawing it from his pocket, "I'm Nicolas King," he continued, extending his hand to the woman, this situation being entirely new to him and leaving him perplexed on how to behave. "You said this was urgent...?" Nicolas concluded, a grimace falling over his visage as he tried to cut directly to the chase.

Nicolette a little when she heard someone's voice. She spaced out a bit so she hadn't heard him approach her until it was too late, good thing he didn't seem to be trying to give her an trouble. Her golden eyes fixed onto him for a moment as she registered what he was said to her, he was the one who received her letter? Her brows furrowed in slight confusion as she tried to piece together who he was. He surely wasn't who she was expecting, that for sure. "Nicolette Hensel" She extended her hand to shake his softy before she retracted her hand and continued to give him curious stare. She remembered Cecily mentioning him before, but sadly she couldn't exactly remember what she had said. Nonetheless, she made sure to keep her sleeves securely over her arm to hide the mark. Nicolette was here to inform them about Pat, not get in trouble for being foolish.

"Your not who I was expecting, but I suppose you'll do." Nicolette sighed after a moment, maybe it would be easier to tell this stranger than it would be to tell anyone else. She just hoped that he would be willing to inform Patricia himself instead of making her do it, the poor girl didn't need to hear news like this from someone like Nicolette. "Patricia Rogers, a Fourth Year Hufflepuff is here tonight is she not?" Nicolette started out softly, almost unsure how to spit it all out. This really had nothing to do with her yet she felt like all the weight in the world was on her shoulders at this very moment. It was earthshaking to her, and she hated it. "Her older brother Joseph was killed in an accident earlier today." When it came out of her mouth like a flowing river she almost visibly flinches at how uncaring she had said it. She didn't care about Joseph one bit, it was Patricia, Anne, and Nataliia that she felt for, they were the ones suffering right now because of that idiot.

Nicolas noted immediately the woman, Nicolette, was careful to keep her arms covered. Suspicious of her already, Nicolas was glad he'd taken along his wand. Her first remark annoyed him greatly, 'She supposes I'll do, does she?' Nicolas thought, wishing he could just push up her sleeve and take her to the ministry but being more concerned about what was so 'urgent' and possibly the safety of the students within the school should he try anything. For now he'd simply keep a mental note of the woman's name, and possibly tip the Ministry to keep an eye or two on her for a while.

When Nicolette mentioned Patricia, Nicolas' face displayed how perplexed he was at why this woman would have something of urgent concern to tell him about a student at his school that couldn't just have been detailed in an owl message. Then she stated why she had come and he frowned visibly, knowing that he'd now have to break the news to his pupil. "Do you know any more details? So I can answer any questions Patricia may have?" Nicolas enquired, desiring to have the woman leave as quickly as possible, but also know enough to explain things to his student.

Nicolette gave him a curious stare, either he seemed weary around her or he was just a quiet man in general she couldn't quite tell yet. "He was killed by a uh..." She trailed off as she tried to think about what those large metal moving objects was. Nataliia has mentioned them to her many times before, but why in the world could she never remember what they were called?! This is what you get for being born without muggle knowledge in life, Nicolette could totally bet she looked like an idiot right now. "Oooh yeah! He was killed in a car accident!" She stated boldly when she remembered the name of the object. Once all that was out her gaze darkened once more as the realization of what happened hit her again, poor Patricia already had a downfall at the beginning of the year, and now she had another thing in her life go wrong.

"What's a car?" She asked out of the blue, not even fully understanding what it was that killed Joseph herself. She hated for being random, but for some reason she felt extremely confused about the entire subject.

"Oh my..." Professor King began as Nicolette finally came out with how Joseph had been killed. Nicolas had taken Muggle Studies through to his NEWTs and received a grade of E in the course, so he well knew what cars were, and car accidents, but he was forced to wonder how, or why, somebody with magical abilities could have been taken off guard by one. It seemed odd to him and he felt that it definitely should never have happened - but the fact seemed to be that what the woman said was truthful, and he would soon have to convey the message to Patricia who otherwise would be enjoying her evening at the feast. He wasn't at all sure how he'd give her the news - he dealt with death all the time, he'd killed before, he'd lost his loved ones countless times, but one aspect of death Nicolas was yet unfamiliar with was informing another of their loss.

As Nicolette's question came out Nicolas' train of thought was cut off, he looked to the woman with a quizzical gaze, wondering why it'd taken her this long to ask the question to somebody if she'd been at St. Mungo's previously. "Well," he began, unsure entirely how to explain the concept. It was certainly odd that the woman hadn't seem them littering the streets of any, and every, muggle inhabited area on the globe. "It's just a muggle form of transportation." He finally settled upon, looking at his timepiece before turning back to the woman, "Be sure to contact the school with more information about funeral arrangements. I must be going now." With that, Nicolas turned back to the school, re-enchanting the entrance to the school as he walked away, toward the Great Hall, with the purpose of ruining one girl's evening.

Nicolette scratched her head as the man explained what a car was. Sure she had heard about accidents involving them at St. Mungos and such, but she had never actually seen one or dealt with the injuries that it dealt. "Muggles are so weird.." She snorted and shook her head, maybe it was a good thing she had been isolated most of her life from muggles and their habits, they seemed to cause a lot of issues with their objects. when the man told her to keep them updated with the funeral and walked off she blinked for a moment; 'Maybe I should tell him I'm not going to some dumb muggles funeral....nah!' She didn't need to bother him anymore than she already had. She'd probably have someone else mention it, or talk to Cecily herself about it seeing as that who she had expected to come out in the first place.

"Someone's a little cranky today.." She said once he was out of hearing range, then glanced around before she sighed and apparated back to St. Mungos. She just hoped things were going better for Nataliia now, or rather, she hoped Nataliia didn't kill anyone yet.
