The Art of Causing Trouble

Julian was a patient individual. Many of his kind could not say the same. India was much more than a hop, skip, and a jump as far as New Zealand was concerned. Some would whine to rival a teapot; their leader was confident that his logic would crush their grievances. They belonged to an exclusive group. Being a Death Eater was neither a hobby nor a chore. Through their duties, they served society; in a way, they were knights, owing their allegiance not to any nation, but to the world. Distance and time should not matter. In New Zealand, any two-bit auror could waltz in and crash their party. Some would say the Death Eaters were frightened birds, diving in only when the worm was in full sight. To Julian, they were elusive, keeping their predators more than a stone's throw away. The pigs wouldn't trail them all the way here.

This theatre had been abandoned by muggles long ago, left to rot with the ghosts of glory. Half of a set remained, its dignity forgotten. Julian was center stage, seated on a sad old stool. His kindred would find their place amongst rows and rows of chipped seats. They would be the audience to a show, a prelude that far surpassed any that this establishment had ever witnessed. Bathed in the light of floating candles, the hooded man waited out his colleagues.

It was time for the meeting, something that excited Leah more than anything had in a long time. She was only a Death Eater in training, but she hoped that today's meeting would be a chance to prove herself. Perhaps they would entrust her with a mission. It would be minor, of course. She did not have the mark, yet, but it would be a mission. A mission that would be completed quickly and accomplished perfectly. If not, then she would take comfort in knowing that she had been invited. Leah entered the meeting area, seeing rows and rows of old seats.

She nodded at the Head Death Eater with absolute respect and the admiration that was due to him. She had rarely spoken to him, because of her low status in the community. She was one of the first few that had arrived, and had her pick of the seats. Leah sat near the middle, and stayed quiet, waiting for everyone else to arrive.

Anastasia was in a horrible mood, and she had been for the past several weeks now. She didn't know what was up just yet but ever since the beginning of that month something had just been off. She had been tired, cranky, sick, and even more murderous than she usually was but today she was in relatively high spirits compared to what was quickly becoming the norm. There was an ever so important meeting taking place in India that day and it was something Anastasia looked forward to. She wasn't about to whine about the travel because to be honest it was smarter than holding one in New Zealand where the Auror population was far too much for her liking. After a small series of apparations to get to her destination, having to stop more than once to combat illness she entered the meeting area, looking impeccable despite how run down she felt. She saw that the room was empty aside from the Head death eater and a girl that wouldn't possibly be old enough to have the mark yet. She nodded her head to the Head DE with the utmost respect before giving the other girl a smaller nod of acknowledgment. Taking a seat a row in front of the other girl on the opposite side she waited for people to arrive and the meeting to begin.

Ryan quick stuck no a black shirt and some baggy jeans so that e looked respectable. He was due a meeting with the other death eaters now and he didnt want to be late. He jumped down the stairs, threw himself over the banisher, landing on his feet he grabbed his coat and put it on swiftly. He thought he looked smart but not like he had spent hours on his out fit. He looked presentable and that was what mattered.Once he was ready h apperated to Asia, outside of the theatre where the meeting was going to be held. He walked up to the old building and made his way to the room that would hold the gathering. He walked in and nodded in the direction of his boss. Ryan had the most respect for him, more than any one, and he deserved it. When he looked forward he spotted familiar face, a face he had been with not long ago. A smile appearing on his face, until he removed it immediatey and walked oer and sat next to her. "I said i would see you again. Not under this situation" He said to her quietly

Leah's heart jumped sky high as none other than Connor appeared by her side. "Connor? What are you-" She smiled happily. "You are a Death Eater? This is the happiest news." And that one scrap of knowledge was what made her so grateful that she attended this mandatory meeting. And then she realized that now that Connor was on her side....perhaps she could see more of him. "I want to see you again, Connor. Later...though.." She hoped he knew what she meant... perhaps he did. She wasn't sure about her feelings for Connor, but the wanting to see him so soon after had happened a short while ago made it clear that maybe it was time to let her guard down when it came to men.

Ryan smiled back at her and shrugged. "Its Ryan actually. Connor is my middle name. You said that name didnt suit me, you were right." Ryan said hoping that she wouldt be angry with him, Ryan kind of liked her a bit. "Course but like you said, after." He sad crossing his less in the male fashion as he looked around and waited for the others to show up. There was only one other person her and she was sat in front of him and Leah. They were kind of early any way. Time like this Ryan always thought it better to be early, it showed respect.

It was not often Kalif could attend Death Eater meetings due to ties at the school, but this time, he simply spoke a lie, saying that his child was sick and needed to be checked up on, and thus, he had left. Bothizar was not sick, and neither were the twins and Kailie. He had ordered a distant relative to watch over them as he retrieved his wife Nicolette and both were off to the area which they were to be meeting with the Head Death Eater and others. Kalif was pushing fifty-three now, but he didn't look it. His black eyes were cold and unreadable, and his tall form towered over others, especially Nicolette who walked at his side. Due to those brats at Hogwarts, it caused a sour expression to paint upon Kalif's hardened and icy facial appearances.

His black robes waved about his legs as he walked down the aisle, and his cold eyes landed upon a couple youngsters speaking. Kalif in turned faced the front and took a seat on the same side as Anastasia in the second to front row. With his wife beside him, Kalif did not say a word, but he was a little shocked that he was the first before the others in the family. Then again, he was quite early after all. His arms folded across his chest, and he waited without a sound coming from him - though it was not the same with others arriving or the ones already here.

After dropping off his two children at the Zhefarovich Manor for the servants to watch, Hades decided to attend the meeting that he was alerted about. Not long now until he received his mark. That was something Hades could not wait for. Arriving at the destination, his onyx eyes devoured the setting. A muggle theater it seemed, and he saw the Head himself. Hades did not have a single emotion upon his face, but a sly smirk started to make its appearance known. The place was hidden no doubt, and it appeared Julian had excellent places to hide in under his hood. Hades barely took notice of anyone in this room, but he took a seat in between Anastasia, a woman that he could never forget, and his father Kalif. Hades leaned against the chair, and he breathed in the scent. There was something big going to happen, and he was dying to know what it was.

Afanasy wandered into the midst of the Death Eater meeting, and he was surprised to say the least. There were a lot of people here, and a lot of them had bad reputations. He smiled wickedly, and joined the group of them. He didn't know what they were doing here, though. They had only been told to turn up. Afanasy shrugged, he was used to not being told much. He hadn't been to a meeting before, so he didn't know what to expect. Though, he did know what was going on in New Zealand at the moment, the Minister for Magic had just resigned, though he had no idea why.

He walked through the piles of Death Eaters, his face void of emotion. He wished he would be able to hunt with these people one day. He shrugged, and looked amongst them. He recognised one of them, the one he had teased in that bar. He still reckoned he would be able to take him. Walking up to him, he chuckled, "Fancy seeing you here, aye, Ryan? Seems I was right about you." He said, chuckling. He wasn't wrong very often about people, and he was happy to know that he hadn't ruined that reputation. If you could even call it that.

Josh had received word of the meeting from Valcan Drage and showed up, surprised that he had arrived before his superior. The theatrical setting peeked his curiosity, but he loved it. The idea of the darkened stage and the candlelight hearkened to his darker side, his more theatrical edge that he allowed out once in a blue moon. Some of his favorite assignments in the past were those he was able to let that side of him out. Those times were fewer and much farther between these days, especially now that Blake was living at home with him. Taking a seat close to the front but far enough away from Kalif Styx, he settled his large frame into a seat and crossed his legs, resting his left ankle on his right knee. Josh waited for Julian to get things underway, completely curious about why they were all summoned.

Crack. The sound tore the alley to shreds, scaring whatever hell had been in the mangy dog out into the open. The pathetic creature yelped and took to its paws. There were better boxes to take shelter in and bigger garbage bins to raid. For right now, protecting its territory was the least of the beast's priorities. The masked man let the canine be. He had more vile animals to roast- mudbloods, in fact- and besides, he had a soft spot for dogs.

Valcan wasn't sure what in Merlin's name had possessed Julian to meet in India. The attentions of the Death Eaters were focused in New Zealand. They didn't have to gather in nowhere to wreak havoc in somewhere. If aurors walked in, couldn't their enemies just blast the stuffing out of them and call it a day? Irritable as he was these days, Valcan wasn't pleased to be wading in his own sweat. High temperatures were definitely not this man's allies. He missed He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

Rather than kicking in a boarded-up door (which was completely in his capabilities,) he apparated inside the theatre instead. He peeled off his mask, nodding to Julian and Kalif Styx before sitting next to Joshua. Valcan wasn't familiar with the others in the room. They were new faces, and likely new to the trade. Perhaps he would do business with them in the future. In either case, he wasn't going to be associating himself with them anytime soon. He was truly an aged wizard; he preferred to stick with what he knew, and to hell with the rest. "We will be around the whole world before this man has made his mark," Valcan murmured, shifting uncomfortably. The seat groaned under his weight. If aurors didn't get to him first, the heat would.

Another two cracks had been heard in a dark alley - not the same one Valcan Drage had arrived in however - and two hooded figures appeared. Danielle and Asparuh Zhefarovich. Half of Asparuh wanted nothing less than to not attend this meeting because he knew just how many young Death Eaters in training that didn't know their arse from their elbow and called themselves "followers of the Dark Lord" when they didn't even know what the man looked like, what he sounded like and what it was truly like to follow him. Asparuh and his wife had. Ever since he was seventeen, he joined the ranks, and that was almost sixty years ago. How time surely flies.

Leading the way, with his hood over his head and blocking any light that could reveal him. Walking toward the area, hating the heat in the worst country Julian could name, he glanced up and down the boarded-up door. With a few spells, done in the silence, Asparuh entered the place where the door used to be, allowed his wife to come in, and with another wave of his wand, the damage he had caused was repaired and nothing else had been disturbed. It was as if he had done nothing but just apparate inside. Asparuh removed his hood, and walked down the aisle and his eyes caught the blond spiked hair that would belong to his son.

The older Death Eater nodded to Valcan in acknowledgement. They had been allies for the longest time. Asparuh guided Danielle over to the front row, and took a seat himself next to her. He did not block his son's view, nor Nicolette's. It was incredible to have such tall men and it would have been kinder to sit in the back. However, if someone complained, Asparuh was sure that Julian wouldn't mind it if there was one less loud mouth in the theater. Asparuh remained as silent as the dead, nothing read in his expressions, but evil practically leaked from his black eyes. He did not know what this meeting was about, and he was vaguely curious if the others would arrive - more so if this was important enough to hold on his own duties back at the manor.

After hearing about the meeting, Arnost had departed from the manor right after his twin brother. Dressed identical, Arnost apparated to the theater given, in India. This made him think, why India? He had never ventured into this part of Asia, and in his mind, he needed to visit during one of his free time period. He removed his hood, and instead of holding a vacant and cold expression that his elder half had, a smirk decorated his lips, and a keen mischievous look lurked in his eyes. He head down the aisle, and he saw his twin and his sister-in-law, but he chose not to sit with them. No, Arnost had to look at them every day for a long time, and a long time to come.

Instead, he turned in the opposite direction, and he took his seat next to Valcan Drage, a close alley and what Arnost could consider a friend from time to time. Perhaps Death Eaters never had friends, but whatever he could describe Valcan, it might as well be mustered up into friend or close ally. Whichever the case. Arnost glanced over at whom Valcan was sitting next to. Joshua Hanson, a man Kalif despised, but not as much as Tristan Drage, but still. Did Arnost allow this to place his judgement? No sir. Arnost chose to not allow past experiences get to him when he never had any with Josh himself. Arnost folded his arms across his chest and he muttered in his native tongue, "This is the worst place to conduct a meeting." After being here for two minutes, Arnost wanted to leave and never return. Being this close to the equator was enough. Arnost would gladly leave this place to rot in the heat. There was nothing of interest here, not to his knowledge.

It was merely days after Raisa had given birth to her first - and last - leech. She was glad to have lost as much weight as she had gained, and it was about time she had gotten out of the Manor and back into action. After ordering the servants to watch over Hela, Ivaylo and Asparuh Zhefarovich IV, she apparated to where a Death Eater meeting took place. Her hair waved down her back, her onyx eyes were tired from the lack of sleep due to that damned daughter of hers. She never wanted a child, and she would go and fix that once she had healed from the birth. Raisa was tired, and she was cranky. This heat just made it worse. Her eyes flamed and her walk down the aisle was paced with speed. Her black robes clothed her body, but it was also evident what she had underneath was that close to a model.

Never again would a man lay his finger on this body however. Raisa had had it with men and their coward attitude nowadays. She liked one, once, but he had left her, dumped her. Raisa let out a frustrated sigh as she took a seat next to her sister-in-law, and folded her arms across her chest, a trait she bore. No one else she looked at, except the leader himself. No one she would speak to, she would just listen, and resist the urge to kill.

After bidding his son goodbye and telling him that he was headed to work, Ioan left his home on Bleak Street. With a slight spin, the streets of New Zealand fell away and were replaced by those of an India. He wondered why they had been summoned here of all places, especially when he had walked around to the front and discovered it was a theater. Or it used to be one.

Stepping inside with his long stride, Ioan allowed his eyes to adjust to the increased darkness within. In the candle light he was able to see that already many people had arrived. He recognized a few of the faces, but many he didn't and he knew then that there had been some more recruiting done. It was a good thing too because it seemed that the death eaters of New Zealand were about to become a bit more active. Ioan knew that Adrianne was likely going to be upset about missing the meeting, but she had other business to attend to, and he planned on filling her in when he arrived home.

Striding forward, Ioan spotted Leah and nearly went to sit beside her. As he realized that she was seated beside and conversing with two people he didn't recognize, he decided against it. Ioan had only received his mark a year ago and was still working on developing his reputation within the death eater ranks. He reached up and took off his hood as he glanced around once more. He hoped that he would be able to assist with whatever was going to take place in this meeting, and wondered whether it had to do with the recent resigation by that old Coote. With a slight nod to Leah, he made his way a few rows up from her and took a seat alone. The chair he sat in was old and its paint was chipped, but he knew that was all of little concern. He placed his arm on the back of the chair beside him and turned his attention to the front of the room, waiting for the meeting to begin.

Selwin had heard about where the meeting would be, so he traveled making sure no one was following him. With his black robes on, his face covered, he walked inside to where the meeting would be held. Truth be told, he was a death eater in training, but that didn't mean he would let people push him around just because they were older than him. Selwin would speak as he wished and would argue as he wished. He wouldn't let anyone push him down without putting up a fight in a debate. Selwin walked inside to notice a few individual sitting down, a few talking to each other and a few just sitting there day dreaming. 'Pathetic... these people can themselves death eaters?' Selwin thought to himself. To Selwin, when there was business to be discussed, he would get down to it and wouldn't rest until everything was taken care of.

As he walked, he saw two familiar faces sitting talking to each other. From what it looked, it seemed that one was Leah and the other was Ryan. Selwin wondered if he should use the name Ryan or Connor to call his friend in front of everyone else, since Ryan did have the habit of hiding his identity from people he didn't know. He slowly made his way through the few that were sitting, "Excuse me, mind moving your leg? Can't you see I want to get through?" said Selwin as he waited for a person to move his leg. 'Idiot..' thought Selwin to himself. Selwin walked towards the leader of the DE's, nodded his head in utmost respect. The Leader of the DE's is the only person Selwin would always have respect for. For others, they would have to earn Selwin's respect.

As he made his way to the two friends, he said, "I expected to see you two here Connor and Leah.' said Selwin as he removed his hood. Selwin thought it was best to call him Connor in front of everyone else since Ryan didn't tell his first name to many people, and was best to keep his identity a secret unless he told Selwin to call him Ryan otherwise. Selwin took out a chair and sat down next to the two. Waiting for the meeting to start, Selwin began talking to his two friends.

The past year had been quite an eventful one for Aphrodite, and she had stayed off the radar. She had lost a friend, though it's difficult for most people to say that a Death Eater can make friends with others. In the summer, she spent it all in Spain, to get away from the cold, snowy New Zealand winter. She had moved about five times since, with her daughter Athena, for both of their protection, and finally decided to keep her permanent residence in Barcelona, so she could get help from her grandfather. He enjoyed the time he spent with his great-grand daughter, and had given Aphrodite a very large sum of money to help them both get along.

Her dark gray cloak covered her dark, long hair and her mask concealed her beautiful, delicate face. With a large, blood curdling crack Aphrodite arrived just on the inside of the Theatre, and immediately felt the swealtering heat get to her. Why, India? Aphrodite thought to herself. The heat was intense, nothing that she had felt before, though the country was beautiful. She took off her mask as she walked through the carpeted auditorium, taking a mental note as to how many new Death Eaters had been recruited.

She respectully bowed her head just as she took a seat in the second row on the opposite side as the Death Eaters-in-training. She found it out of utmost disrespect that they were chitter-chatting just as their respected leader was about to speak. Upon passing them, she shot them looks. She had to hold in the urge to silence them herself, but didn't want to take the attention away from the purpose of the meeting. Aphrodite sat down, and placed her mask face-down on her lap. She opted not to sit next to anybody she knew because she knew she would be tempted to play catch-up herself.

Having been in hiding for almost two years, Abathyn was unaccustomed to social occasions, gatherings, or anything involving people. Without her children to keep her company, Abathyn grew crueller and stronger. Walking absentmindedly through the dreary forest, the woman was tempted to just curse the few birds that dared to enter her serene surroundings. How could they. Most birds had simply evacuated the forest.

She knew about the meeting intended for the Death Eaters, in India. Why a theatre, Abby was unsure. She reached the creek, fingering her wand gingerly. Abathyn needed to leave, shortly. With a slight cool smile she twisted on the spot, immediately feeling the heat of the concrete she'd apparated onto through her black boots. Her charcoal cloak hugged her thin form as Abathyn manouvered her way through the door of the little disused theatre, past numerous other Death Eaters. Despite being still in training, Abathyn was nearing the stage that she could call herself a fully fledged Death Eater, and that excited her to no end. Silently she took a seat at the back, removing her hood to show her brown ringlets. She calmly awaited the leader, a thin smile played around her lips while she sat still. By no means was Abathyn going to engage in chit-chat as the other fledgling Death Eaters were.

Link arrived at the meeting just as everyone was filing in. When he fixed his hooded cloak to hang from his torso he revealed himself to those around him. Grey optics scan the entire area, some faces he recognize right off the bat. He saw firstly out of all of them to catch his attention was Ioan Finch, no news there. He knew from beginning there was something about Ioan he couldn't stop thinking about when he first met the man. Now he knew, Death eater, to bad he didn't catch this before. Now after what happen between him and his sister, Link had no need to talk to the bastard. Should've killed him when I had the chance, Link rolled his eyes pushing towards the back to avoid Ioan. Not just him, Leah was conversating with Ryan who Link previously knew couple months back. Great, my enemies are my comrades. He wanted to say something, something to make this gathering heated, though he couldn't. He saw Julian the leader sitting up center stage, and knew that wouldn't be the brightest idea. Link sat down and remain silent, awaiting for the meeting to take place. And to avoid those he once knew but now hate.

"Ah yes. I remember saying that. I'm glad to know that I was right." Leah replied to Connor saying that his real name was Ryan. Quite a few people rarely gave out their real names.. she herself did not care. Leah was not a popular Death Eater, and only a few people knew of her secret. She quieted down, after her last whispered comment not wanting to be the only one chatting away. She did, however nod and smile at Ioan as he walked in. She hadn't spoken to him in quite a while, and it looked as if his wife had not joined him. She wondered why, but turned away from him as he seated himself.

More people were arriving, including Selwin. She smirked when he referred to Ryan as Connor, but she did not correct him just in case he thought that Connor was his real name as well as she had before. "Hello, Selwin." She greeted quietly. Leah stared at the front of the room, until a very familiar figure entered the theater. Link... She looked at him, feeling a smaller pang of hurt than she had felt before. Perhaps it was fading.. she rarely thought of him anymore. Leah smiled at him with friendliness and turned away.

Nicolette was curious as to why another Death Eater meeting was being held so suddenly, it was rare when they all together like this so there must be something big going on. Nicolette loved it when there was big events going like this, it always meant that there was really good action to be had when it did. Immediately upon arrival with her husband Kalif she noticed that there were a lot of younger Death Eaters around, when had they gotten so many new recruits? She and her husband had arrived before the rest of the family so that was probably why it seemed a little empty right now, she turned her golden eyes gently to look at Kalif and show him that she was not impressed right now. Nicolette would rather be at home with her babies or training her healing a little bit than here with all these kids and probably having to do something that she was not going to want to be very involved in. She had babies to look after now so she couldn't afford to be doing anything really dangerous or time consuming, so she would just offer her help in any way she could help them accomplish whatever this meeting was about. Brushing some of her golden blonde hair out of her face she sat in the second to front row next to her husband.

Nicolette kept quiet but let her gaze shift to her husband for a moment, he seemed a little unhappy or irritated and she felt a little bad for him. The heat in the place chosen for the meeting was not very enjoyable either, she was sure that the more Death Eaters that arrived the more the temperature in the room would rise as well. After a gentle sigh escaped her lips she straightened her back out and ignored the younger Death Eaters for now, they weren't worth her getting all annoyed them yet.

Whatever possessed Julian to hold a Death Eater Meeting on the middle of India was completely against Danielle but she was never one to complain about orders from those higher up from here and there weren't that many higher than her any longer. It was wasn't a secret that she wasn't any happier to be here than her husband was. When Asparuh had gone even far as to break down the door she could not help but let the littlest crack of a smile form onto her face. 'Well that one way to make an entrance.' Once she had stepped inside the room gracefully he repaired it while she allowed her angelic blue eyes scan the room carefully, so far there were very few Death Eaters she actually respected in the room. Danielle removed her hood and followed Asparuh to wherever he was leading her to sit, she had no idea what this meeting was about but she expected it to be important if all the Death Eaters were being called to such a hot place. Asparuh had guided Danielle to the the front row and she sat down gently before she let her gaze fall to the group of younger Death Eaters for a moment. As one of the original Death Eaters she tried to take interest in the new recruits but they just annoyed her to no end most of the time.

Danielle redirected her head as others arrived and ignored most everyone else around her except for the presence of her husband whom was sitting right next to her. She hoped this meeting would get underway soon because this heat wad bothering her a little, and she was already feeling a little light on her feet recently to begin with.

Esmerelda had never been to a Death Eater meeting before, and she was more excited than, perhaps, she should have been. Lorenzo had talked about them often enough of course, but now he was gone. The only dark deed Esmerelda had ever regretted. She sighed, and told herself to stop brooding about the past. She would only make herself depressed, and that was the worst thing to do today. Smiling, Esmerelda pulled on her midnight cloak and apparated out of her dark and silent house.

Esmerelda had been to India once before, many years ago, and she had forgotten about the heat. It struck her as she appeared in the alley outside the theatre, and she entered swiftly. It was no cooler inside; this place was too old to have air conditioning Muggle or otherwise. Esmerelda didn't care, she strode to a seat in the front row, hoping that her enthusiasm wouldn't show. She wouldn't want to be embarrassed by anticipation.

Acelin entered the meeting looking at the people, he couldn't help but wonder why they would have to all look so depressing. Acelin decided that he would make it his goal to ensure that these people got some more peppy outfits into their life however at the moment he simply kept his mouth shut smiled and took a seat that was empty. Acelin wasn't like the others in more than one way, the biggest way however would have to be that he really wasn't all that evil he was just bad and loved being bad. It seemed he was misunderstood by others however he did find that most Death Eaters were quite enjoyable to get along with and some of them were even kinda attractive in a grunge type of way. Acelin looked around as he tucked his hands into his lap, he had been on a few missions however never on his own. He was very thankful for that since he wasn't exactly known for his killer wand skills and was sure to get caught if he didn't have someone else around to back him up. He had also never been the one to as they put it 'carry out the deed', sure he had been standing next to the person who was big bad and liked to get blood over their new Armani shoes but that just wasn't him.

Acelin looked around realizing that he really didn't associate too much with these people, perhaps that was a good thing considering he knew that most Death Eaters weren't exactly known for their loyalties. He was fine just being a fabulously well dressed fly on the wall since when it came down to it, he really didn't want any of these people to remember him should they get caught by the Aurors and decide to squeal. Acelin looked over at Leah and smiled a little more with a slight wave, new blood always fun to play with. Though he had to admit that with a little work she could be presentable as someone he might actually associate himself around. He lowered his hand quickly though as he decided that he should try to remained unnoticed by others, it was actually probably the service he gave to the organization. Unlike the rest of them that probably hung around Bleak Street and gave off the Aura of Death, he was very inconspicuous he could probably walk in front of a hundred people and declare himself a Death Eater but in his pink tuxedo, nobody would believe him and just walk away. That of course was fine by him, though he did wish he had figured out a way to die his dark mark pink, perhaps he could find someone here after the meeting that might know how, Acelin pondered as he waited for the meeting to officially begin.

For the sake of time, please write that your character is already in the room after this point if you have not yet entered the rp. If you believe it is important for your character to be late, then by all means proceed, but expect to be reprimanded in-character. Thank you.

Greeting everyone individually was a useless activity. Having learned this earlier in his career, Julian decided to address the group as a whole. He was expecting this gathering to be short and to the point. The man could really care less about the heat or the suffering that tagged along with it, he just didn't believe in wasting the sands of time. Death Eaters were supposed to be prompt, leaving a mark but not their names.

"Welcome," Julian intoned, rising from the stool. His voice traveled around the theatre, returning back to the front in boomerang fashion. The hooded man took a few steps forward before pausing in stride, smiling beneath his disguise. "As some of you are aware, I'm certain, Gellert Coote has resigned from his position as New Zealand's Minister of Magic." He lifted his hand, catching the whispers and murmurs that crept to the stage. "As of now, the Ministry is headed by its senior staff. While we would traditionally see this as a tender point in New Zealand's leadership, other opportunities have presented themselves."

Several breaths passed through his nostrils before Julian continued. "Instead of appointing its minister, New Zealand's government has decided to let its citizens take a stance. Candidates will run and votes will be counted. My friends, the ministry has given us the perfect system to play."

"Everyone and their distant cousins are told they will have a say, so why not the Death Eaters? It is time for us to speak up again. We may not be silent, but we're far too quiet."

He returned to his seat, looking to each and every one of his comrades. "So, what do you lot propose? Should we bury our teeth in New Zealand's sides, or allow mudbloods and half-breeds to run the show?"
