Hi,
My timetable says something about 1st terms and 2nd terms. What does terms mean? How often are they? Can someone please help?

1st term is the first part of you're first year It's the one that begins when yo start lessons and such, then, half way through the year, it will change to term 2, when you'll get different classes
Please tell me if you dont understand that, I'm not very good at explaining things

Terms are like semesters Kate. The first term in HNZ is from Sept until Christmas which is roughly about 6-7 weeks. After Christmas until June is when the 2nd term begins.
Ellie is right in that we have certain subjects the first term and an exam at the end and then different subjects in the second term with another exam near the end.
There is a FAQ section for you to post these type of questions in though, the admin team would find them faster inorder to reply to you.
