Thomas couldn't believe he finally had a moment to himself and away from the Office. Ever since he had been elected as Deputy Minister he barely had a moment to himself. If this was how it was for him he couldn't even begin to imagine the horror Seraphine had to live with. For that moment and that moment alone he was almost glad he wasn't the Minister for Magic. If it meant suffering from exhaustion and the constant headache of being inside the Ministry and listening to their problems all of the time Thomas would probably sob from frustration. On top of that there's so many other ways someone could find themselves having problems with, like family issues, and then there was Press who liked to swarm like flies anytime there was even the slightest bit of room for a story. Once more Rumors got around about Seraphine's condition he swore no one in the Ministry got an ounce of time to themselves because the bloody bastards were everyone one went. Thomas never answered any of their questions as of yet either. He didn't want to do any interviews because this wasn't his life and he didn't want to talk about it, they could follow him around all they wanted but he wasn't going to say a damn word to them. That was the best way to handle the press in any situation. Just don't say anything to them and you could avoid being in the tabloids all the time. He had perfected his method of avoiding them over the years and finally this was his method. Just pay them no mind. His family was already unhappy about him being so involved in the Ministry. Nicolas preferred to keep out of Thomas' way for the most part but Nicolette wasn't shy about showing her dislike for him and the Ministry. There was just no way pleasing that woman when she pretty much turned anything she could against you.

Thomas entered the Den and stared into the fire just as he heard someone speak his name. It was one of his most trusted House Elves coming into the room. Thomas' gold eyes fixed onto the creature before he he motioned for it to come closer. The Elf relayed the message that someone was here to see him. He didn't state who it was or anything though so Thomas had no idea whether he needed to be on his guard or not. He opened his mouth to ask who it was but within seconds of sound coming from his mouth someone stepped into the room. It was a very tall and cold looking man that Thomas had never seen before. "Who are you?" Thomas blinked his gold eyes as he pointed at the man and demanded to know who he was. After all he was in Thomas' home so he had the right to know who he was and what he wanted. He had to have some sort of being here or the elves wouldn't have let him inside the Manor. They knew who to let in and who to keep out. Unless the person was under a code name or happened to be a new face coming along.

This was something that seemed mandatory to him. Kalif did not appreciate going to a relative's home that he did not know, but with the assistance of his son, he was easily approaching the house that Thomas Hensel resided. He was the Deputy Minister, and he knew that Nicolette was furious with him for being that high up in the Ministry, but he also had all the support of the Death Eaters. He had Axel's, from what he knew. Kalif's gloved knuckles pounded on the wood of the door, before an elf answered and ask who he was. Kalif answered coldly, "Associate of Thomas Hensel's." Kalif stepped aside, his robes of ebony hue that encased his tall form fluttered as he stepped, assuming he knew where he was going. Every house was laid out similarly, and Kalif was going by what he assumed. Kalif glanced down with his onyx eyes, seeing the creature walk by him. Kalif figured that this was going to lead him straight to Thomas. Seeing that Kalif did not bother with the elections, he did not know what the man looked like. Though he assumed that the man would possess those golden eyes. Kalif stepped into the room that a man was currently in, as Kalif could feel the presence of another. His arms folded over his chest. His onyx eyes landed on the man named Thomas, and immediately could see the type of man he would encounter from the look. Hensel. Kalif only read the outer surface, as he would not attempt to read the very depths of the mind unless absolutely necessary.

"I am Professor Kalif Styx, Slytherin Head of House in Hogwarts in New Zealand. I suppose this would call forth just the use of Kalif to refer to me by," Kalif answered, his tone colder than nitrogen. He stepped into the room so that he could see Thomas more clearly. He doubted that Thomas would see him as a dark figure, because being a professor meant that they did background checks. Kalif had no record of anything bad upon him. He had a clean state, but it would be odd to trace where he came from in Bulgaria. Though that was something that was probably within a few Ministry officials that were working undercover assisting him in keeping his job and his own duty as an Undercover Death Eater. Kalif continued, "I assume that you wouldn't know me, but I know you. After all, we are related, how distant I do not know. Nicolette is your cousin, and she is my wife." Kalif wondered if the Ministry was suspicious of her, and the best way was to probe the mind of someone in there, especially high in the ranks. The information he could gather with just one brief spell, or not breaking eye contact. Kalif was also curious by the pregnancy of Seraphine. From what he observed from afar, there was no father. Kalif tapped his fingers against the sleeves of his robes. Kalif turned his head to the doorway, before his eyes went back to Thomas once more. Kalif assumed that they would be alone. He was not too sure on the knowledge of the Hensel family, how big they are or anything on Thomas.

Thomas ordered one of his nearby House Elves to bring him and his guest, if he so desired some tea to drink, the creature offered a meek 'yes' before he scampered off. The man introduced himself as Kalif Styx and Thomas raised an eyebrow for a moment, before he regained his composure and allowed his face to relax some. He was also the Slytherin Head of House at Hogwarts in New Zealand making him a well known man to some but that's not why the name seemed familiar to Thomas. It sort of struck him as someone he knew but wasn't quite sure how he knew the man. The House Elf he told to get the tea came back with it quickly and he waved it off before his golden eyes rested once more on Kalif. He then stated that they were distant related, which for a moment confused the hell out of Thomas, he did not know of any Kalif in his family. Then again he hadn't checked the Family tree in some time as Nicolette was not really the best person in the world when it comes to sharing anything with anyone. But there was more to this man as he was in fact Nicolette's husband, that alone made Thomas snorted before he chuckled under his breath, not really meaning to though. Even a few of the Portraits within the the room managed a chuckle or two before Thomas managed to gain a hold of himself and hold a hand up for them to be silent as well. "So, your married to the bigmouth eh? I thought I recognized you from somewhere. Wasn't quite sure where though. Pardon my laughter, it just amuses me that someone can tolerate that woman long enough to marry her." Thomas shook his head before he glanced at the fireplace for just a moment. It wasn't that he hated Nicolette but he was far from actually hating her. She was just a very hostel woman and they often butted heads more than they did anything else. Nicolette wanted things to go one way while Thomas wanted them to go another. He figured that him working in the ministry didn't help win her over either. As she hated the Ministry and how they liked to stick their noses in anything possible. One wouldn't imagine the hateful things that woman came up with to say about Thomas and Seraphine, and all the others. After working with her some, Thomas figured that Seraphine wasn't as bad as people liked to make it seem that knew her well. Thomas told all the elves to leave the room before he motioned for Kalif to sit or come further into the room as Thomas sat himself in one of the armchairs and crossing his legs.

"What brings you all the way over here, Kalif. If Nicolette sent you here to harass me then you can kindly report back to her that if she wants to complain she can come do it to my face instead of hiding around. You don't seem the type to be here on official ministry business." Thomas' voice was not cold like Kalif's was but it held more of a business-like tone and less of a warmth that Nicolas' held when he spoke. Thomas was a little unsure of Kalif and his personality but if the man was married to Nicolette he had to have some form of meanness to him. He sounded naturally cold himself so Thomas had much room to believe that Kalif was a strict and careful man. Perhaps Thomas could use this mans help from time to time, he may know more about what's going around with the youth these days, as well as what the hell Nicolette is up to. If only Thomas knew about Kalif's special ability.

Seraphine Snow arrived at the Hensel Household, not really knowing what it is called anyway, because only one man lived here anyhow. Seraphine entered the front door, after knocking softly, but there was no answer. She wore a gown now, to conceal the ever growing bastard child inside her. Six months now, and she was definitely showing. Rumors floated around the Ministry, but she never let the pregnancy get to her work, and she seemed like before she was when she was not even pregnant. People asked her all the time if she was seeing anyone, and she would brush them off or tell them to get back to work. She knew better, because things spread like wildfire. She did not have a man in her life, but even her sisters were as baffled as she when she told them the news. After the fifth month, there was no point in hiding it anymore. And she was having a little boy. This little boy was doing wonders on her body. How her hair changed from brunette to red, was because of him. Either that or it was a side effect of the potion for her pregnancy that she was taking to make sure that the baby was healthy. Her body was overly worked so she had to have some sort of magical assistance. At least she was young and helping out, as much as she humanly can of course.

Seraphine followed the voice of Thomas, wondering if he was here with the professor that ended up inviting her here. Why? She did not know. Seraphine then remembered, from what other Snow's have told her, Professor Styx was not a man that some would believe he is, and he would know things that others would not. She wondered if he would be able to figure out how she got into this mess, with a baby and everything. Seraphine stood in the doorway, and she knocked on the side of it, seeing the two men. "Knock knock?" A small smile replaced her worried expression, and she hoped that she was not interrupting. Then again, she did not even know why she was here anyway. All of this, it worried her, but her sky blue eyes tried to hide what she was feeling right now. Plus, her son within was moving around a bit more than usual, and she tried to stand up straight without wincing. It was as if her son was playing kickball with her spine.

Kalif narrowed his eyes at Thomas when he started to laugh a bit, as well as some of the portraits when he revealed that he was married to Nicolette. Though he did have a point, Kalif did not know how he could handle being married to her, but he did not want to find out how he could not. Kalif shrugged lightly, "I do not know how I can, but I was raised to have strong patience. Though if you imagined yourself being married to her, I would have to question your feelings about incest thoughts that you may possess with Nicolette." That was probably not what Thomas meant, but Kalif did not care, and he was not someone that joked around much either. He just found openings in what people said, twist them and make the other seem bad if not worse than whom they were talking about to begin with. Kalif did that to Nicolette a lot, enough to make her rather mad, and Kalif was always amused in the end. Kalif entered the room a little more and he took a seat in an armchair somewhat close to Thomas. He knew that there would be another coming, and this was all apart of the plan, to find out something that no one knew, through the ability that he possessed. Hades might be able to figure it out, but all he had were assumptions, but Kalif can investigate the very memories of the beholders to find out what is necessary.

"No, but I am here for," his head inclined as he paused to see Seraphine standing in the doorway, about as confused about her arrival here as much as Thomas was, "...the truth," Kalif finished. Kalif flourished his wand and he continued, "I have the power of Legilimency, and I can extract memories from someone, thus I will be able to see something that baffles everyone." Kalif did not like to talk much, but after becoming a professor, he had to get over the fact that sometimes, things needed to be explained. "Seraphine is pregnant, and does not know who the father is. However, memories are there, just blocked. I set up this thing, under the inquiries from family members from Seraphine." More like from Nataliia because she loved babies and all, and she wanted to know things as well. Kalif turned his onyx eyes to meet with gold, as it was almost necessary. He needed concentration and eye contact, plus the spell because the mind seemed a little dumbed right now. Kalif retrieved the memory necessary, but something did not add up. He saw drinks, non-alcoholic, and then some things that he did not want to see really, but he skipped over that to the next morning, and Thomas leaving, with Seraphine wrapped in sheets. It was as if they were under a potion or something. Kalif turned to Seraphine and he said, "Thomas is the father."

Thomas raised an eyebrow when Kalif stated that he did not know how he could other than the fact that he was raised to have a strong sense of patience. This man must have been the most patient being in the world to put up with someone like her. He even looked serious enough to look like the type that wouldn't put up with people like her. His comment about incest thoughts made Thomas pause for a moment before he stared into the fire, another deep chuckle leaving his throat. Not only was he a naturally cruel seeming man he also seemed to have a humorous side to him, or at least Thomas thought so. "To be honest, I can barely stand her enough to consider her family so even if I was that type of person, I wouldn't think of her like that. She could choke on her own breath for all I care." Thomas replied with a roll of his eyes, assuming that a man of Kalif's personality type wouldn't care for threats made to anyone. Even so it was true because ever since he had come back into Contact with family she had been nothing but bossy and controlling of everyone. It was as if she thought she controlled what was left of the family. Nicolas was the eldest so if they decided to reestablish the family that's who should have the right to lead them. Then again Nicolas was not much of a leader. He was too soft and carefree to really rule anyone. It didn't matter though. As far as Thomas was concerned the Hensel's had let their line die long ago. There was only three of the adults and their children left, it would take years to mend the family line again. Before Thomas could say anything else The Minister for Magic herself appeared in his home. He didn't even recall that she knew where he lived. Then again with her being the Minister she probably knew a lot more about him than he thought. His golden eyes narrowed for a small second as he tried to place exactly what events were occurring. Thomas was really accustomed to having so many people in his home at the same time. Particularly one being a pregnant woman and the other one being a Professor that was related to his cousin. But what came from the man's mouth made Thomas turned at him with feral eyes.

"Excuse me? Legilimens or not I don't see how this can be at all true! I have no memories of this and I surely wouldn't sleep with my co-worker so why don't you explains exactly how this happened." Thomas wasn't exactly sure if this man was trying to pull his leg or not. Gold eyes afflicted themselves onto Seraphine before he scoffed. He refused to believe it. Unless Kalif could actually come up for an explanation of how neither of them had the memories for it and what possessed Thomas to sleep with the woman he may give Kalif an easier time over this. If not he was likely to throw both of them out for attempting to give him a headache. He didn't really have time for this kind of foolishness. Why would he sleep with any woman? He had no interest in them and he had even less of an interest in having a family. Why would he not remember it either? Did it not matter to these people that Thomas didn't want a family?

Her sky blue eyes went over to Kalif and she narrowed them. He was a Legilimens and he had revealed what he came for. She would love to know who the father was, because this was just confusing her. Seraphine listened to the results, and her eyes widened. She crossed over and she sat down on a chair, just to take in the information given to her. So, she was pregnant with her co-worker's child? "Kalif, with all due respect, I don't like him as anything more than a co-worker. And how can we not remember it?" Seraphine frowned and she turned her head to Thomas. Her baby moved a bit at the thought of Thomas. So, maybe it was true. He seemed to be more active when Thomas was around. Seraphine let out a sigh and she shrugged. She wanted to know what exactly happened.

Kalif rolled his eyes and he said to Seraphine, "I don't care if you like him or not. That is what I saw, and I am getting to that when you all let me explain what happened, even though even morons could have figured it out." Kalif stood up and he walked around the room for a moment, waiting for absolute silence. Once he received it, Kalif said, "Because I know a lot about potions and the effects of them, in the memories there was something different about the glass, a slight change of color. Someone put the two of you under a love potion as a prank. That is why you don't remember much of that night, but it is there." Kalif glanced over at Seraphine, before his eyes went to Thomas. The news was there, and if one thought about it.
