Thomas couldn't believe he finally had a moment to himself and away from the Office. Ever since he had been elected as Deputy Minister he barely had a moment to himself. If this was how it was for him he couldn't even begin to imagine the horror Seraphine had to live with. For that moment and that moment alone he was almost glad he wasn't the Minister for Magic. If it meant suffering from exhaustion and the constant headache of being inside the Ministry and listening to their problems all of the time Thomas would probably sob from frustration. On top of that there's so many other ways someone could find themselves having problems with, like family issues, and then there was Press who liked to swarm like flies anytime there was even the slightest bit of room for a story. Once more Rumors got around about Seraphine's condition he swore no one in the Ministry got an ounce of time to themselves because the bloody bastards were everyone one went. Thomas never answered any of their questions as of yet either. He didn't want to do any interviews because this wasn't his life and he didn't want to talk about it, they could follow him around all they wanted but he wasn't going to say a damn word to them. That was the best way to handle the press in any situation. Just don't say anything to them and you could avoid being in the tabloids all the time. He had perfected his method of avoiding them over the years and finally this was his method. Just pay them no mind. His family was already unhappy about him being so involved in the Ministry. Nicolas preferred to keep out of Thomas' way for the most part but Nicolette wasn't shy about showing her dislike for him and the Ministry. There was just no way pleasing that woman when she pretty much turned anything she could against you.
Thomas entered the Den and stared into the fire just as he heard someone speak his name. It was one of his most trusted House Elves coming into the room. Thomas' gold eyes fixed onto the creature before he he motioned for it to come closer. The Elf relayed the message that someone was here to see him. He didn't state who it was or anything though so Thomas had no idea whether he needed to be on his guard or not. He opened his mouth to ask who it was but within seconds of sound coming from his mouth someone stepped into the room. It was a very tall and cold looking man that Thomas had never seen before. "Who are you?" Thomas blinked his gold eyes as he pointed at the man and demanded to know who he was. After all he was in Thomas' home so he had the right to know who he was and what he wanted. He had to have some sort of being here or the elves wouldn't have let him inside the Manor. They knew who to let in and who to keep out. Unless the person was under a code name or happened to be a new face coming along.
