Tyler headed to the Feast by himself, hoping to run into someone to spend time with. He figured he could see Simon there, though he was hoping a bit to run into Emily as well, or maybe Bada. Both girls had been nice to talk to, though they were extremely different. The boy had put on a somewhat simple costume, mostly just carrying around arrows and a bow. They were obviously not real arrows, more sticks than anything, but he could fire them with his arrow. He was hoping to maybe liven things up a bit by shooting some of them across the hall, but only if he was sure he wouldn't get caught or blamed for it. So far he had never gotten in trouble, and he wanted to keep that streak going. Tyler didn't immediately spot any of the people he was hoping to run into, and decided to grab a snack. He scanned the room for Blake too, though only out of habit.

Aonghas had thought he wouldn’t go along to the halloween feast, there wasn’t much point, he didn’t have a costume, had no intention of wearing one and it would just a few pointless hours spent elsewhere, and yet he found himself at the threshold of the hall. He wondered for a brief moment if perhaps it would’ve been better to ask Katia to come with him, at the very least they could’ve enjoyed mocking the people around them, perhaps even Lauren would’ve provided company though he knew things were still a little difficult between them because of...well..he didn’t want to think about it. Instead he focused, as well as one could, on the halloween decorations and the way the hall looked, he heard the unmistakable sounds of his sister at one side of the room and so expressly headed in the other direction. He was sure that by this point she must’ve at least gotten one warning that she would be expelled for poor behaviour but it seemed that she hadn’t yet. Miracles. He kept moving to one of the further snack tables away from her, deeper into the room than he had intended to go, but it was secluded in the way that a section of a room at a party could be, and there were snacks and Aonghas had always enjoyed the snacks, it was as he approached the table that he spotted a boy in his year who seemed to be also getting snacks, Tyler or something, "You should go fae the cauldron cookies," he advised him as he took one himself.

Lauren was not usually liking the feasts and stuff. But this year she started with more hope and she hadn't felt that in a long time. She was too scared of trying to see an light in the dark tunnel. And that she would be dissapointed after. But she actually believed that her sister wanted to help her out in this nightmare situation of home. So Lauren decided to go to the Halloween Feast and make something of her life, otherwise she would regret it. With her costume as Daenerys Targaren she walked to the Great Hall and directly went over to the food. And she spotted Aonghas there but he was talking to Tyler, the person she hated. Lauren hated Slytherins mostly, it was some prejudice of hers. Lauren could not help but hate the boy. He had been so mean to her in the classroom but she had led him eat slugs. '' He likes slugs more.'' Lauren than suddenly answered and went standing next to Aonghas with an grin.

Tyler looked up as some boy started to talk to him. He recognized him as Aonghas Fergusson, a Hufflepuff in his year who he didn't remember ever doing much of note besides being pureblood and talking with an obnoxious accent. He remembered beating the boy in duelling last year, which made him smile a little. "Thanks for the tip." He said, taking a cookie for himself. "Let me guess, you're dressed as a Hufflepuff fifth year?" He added, trying to joke a bit as the boy clearly wasn't wearing a costume at all. Tyler wondered why he bothered coming without one. But then Lauren showed up, and Tyler remembered that he'd seen her with Aonghas in the past and they were probably friends, or dating. He frowned at her as she immediately brought up the time she had cursed him. It was like she wanted to start a fight, but Tyler didn't want to seem like she got to him quickly. He turned his frown into a slight smile. "Careful, I'm armed." He said in a joking tone, holding up his bow before aiming one of the fake arrows at her in what he hoped would seem a friendly joking way outwardly. But he couldn't help himself, and 'accidentally' let go of the string, making the arrow fly at Lauren and hit her. It wasn't a hard hit at all, as he hadn't put much force into it. Besides, the arrows didn't have sharp points, so it wasn't really anything. "Oh, sorry." He said, schooling his face into a genuine expression of apology. "I'm not very good with this thing." He said with a light shrug.

Godmod approved

Aonghas gave a little shrug, ”Ah’m a thestral, ye need tae have seen death tae see the costume,” he joked lightly, but it was very clearly lying about it. He took another cookie and then took a little bit of it. He glanced as Lauren walked over, and he couldn’t help but glance over her quickly. He knew that she was probably fine now, but he of course remained worried about her constantly. He was keeping it a secret but he really wished he was able to help her more than just knowing about it, but he couldn’t say anything unless she was okay with it. He picked up one of the snacks that he knew that she liked and held it out to her. He didn’t know that Tyler and Lauren knew each other and had some history. He watched as the bow with the quiver of arrows sent one towards Lauren. Aonghas looked towards Lauren, to judge if he had to maybe give a bit of a push back towards Tyler. ”Ye could charm them,” he said with a shrug, thinking that if she wasn’t too upset it might be good to keep the conversation going. He at the very least had no problem with Tyler.

Lauren felt Tyler deserved the eating slugs back than. And she had expected him to be more annoyed by her comment but he was somewhat calm. She still didn't liked him and he could know. She would not be different towards him because Aonghas was here. She rolled her eyes it was not even funny. And than the arrow than touched her, not that hard but it did. Although he apologized the blonde didn't liked it. '' No your not. Do it again and you can eat slugs again.'' She said challenging. Lauren didn't liked to be played with, she had to stick out for herself all the time. She took the arrow on the ground and looked at Aonghas. Perhaps he would think bad of her now, but she just didn't liked the boy. And Aonghas could like who he wanted. The blonde than broke the arrow in two pieces. '' How would you charm them than?'' She asked to Aonghas.

Tyler cracked a slight smile at Aonghas' joke, though it was a bit weird. But he was much more curious about Lauren's reaction to him hitting her with one of his arrows. He wasn't sure what the boy meant with charming his arrows, but was distracted from asking as Lauren brought up the slug thing again. "You're repeating yourself." He informed her with a teasing smile. "And you'd have to hit me first, I've been winning dueling for our year for years, and I noticed you never even competed." He told her, still trying to keep his tone light. He rolled his eyes as she broke the arrow, summoning the pieces back to him with an accio spell before repairing it with magic too. "Charming." He said, rolling his eyes.

Aonghas definitely didn’t know what was going on between them, he got figure that this wasn’t some contrived flirting, it seemed genuinely that Aonghas had spoken to someone who wasn’t that friendly with Lauren. He wasn’t quite sure what he should do about it, he really had just found himself stuck in the middle. He could admit that Tyler was good at duelling, though Aonghas would like to think if he tried more he might win but really he didn’t mind not doing too much. He just took a bite of the cookie in his hand watching the exchange between them. ”Ah mean, a depulso spell would send the arrows flyin’” he said as Lauren was what charms, and it seemed the boy somewhat knew what he was doing. ”Eventually we’ll be able tae cast spell wae out wands so ye’d be able to notch yer arrow and then send it flying much more clearly,” Aonghas shrugged.
