Kira had been home for a bit, and she both enjoyed her visit to Scotland and immensely regretted it. She missed Arcturus more now, and it bothered her how much he was on her mind. She still thought of Caelan from time to time, but it had subsided from a shattering heartbreak to a quiet sadness.
She had wanted to thank Arc for everything he had done for her, from his kindness and support to the butterflies in her tummy when she thought of him. After a lot of thought, she had decided to use another of her... quieter talents. She had done something similar to her own bed in her earlier years, and after an hour or so looking over old journals she found the right measurements. She took a bit to gather supplies, but now she stood on her dark leather couch, poster paper taped to the wall.
Her room was... cozy, if nothing else. From the galaxies swirling over her walls and ceiling to the full bookcases and the dark oak desk in the corner, to her windowseat bed covered with fluffy pillows and a dark, fluffy purple comforter.
She took a moment to pull her hair up, starting to sing along to the music in her headphones as she worked. Her laptop was open on the nightstand next to her, a map of the stars in scotland open in the screen. She had finally decided to pick the map of stars recorded the day Arc had been born, thinking it would hold the most significance.
She hardly noticed anyone else as she painted over her sketched map, singing along with feeling.
