Aminia Macksimov had never been happier to travel to Asia than this night, on which she was doing so of her own accord. The blonde smoother her blue skirt gently. There was a gentle familiarity in waiting in a hotel room for Chaser to pick her up so they could go on a date. Of course it was the same Hotel - and she'd planned a very special date to the same place they'd been the first time they'd hung out. Her makeup was light, cheeks less red than they had been - but she was just as nervous as before. Looking at her more bony features she wondered if he saw her as beautiful in the same way he always had. After all, she was aged - an adult. She was no longer the juvenile that he'd met before in that market place. That night they'd met seemed so far away now.

Aminia took in a breath and paced the room. Was he going to show up? Or would he change his mind suddenly. It seemed like things had been going well - but maybe she was fooling herself. Maybe things only seemed that way so he could break her heart the way she'd broken his. Could he be a cruel as her?

Chaser had thought he recognised the name of the hotel, but it wasn't until he was back on the doorstep that he realised why Aminia had chosen this particular one to stay in. With a smile on his face as he recalled that day, he entered the building and headed along to the room he'd been instructed to meet her in. He stood outside in the hallway for a moment, trying to shake the memories of what they had before. They were different people now. Grown up and with adult responsibilities. He chuckled, who was he kidding? They'd been through a lot but an adult Chaser would never be, at least not in his head. He knocked on the door and waited to see if Aminia would still be up for spending an evening with him. It was time for a fresh start and to see if they truly were still compatible after all these years.

Aminia heard the knock and her heart skipped a beat. She turned and took a few breaths before opening the door to Chaser, a smile on her ruby lips. "Hey." She said, voice a little above a whisper. "Are you hungry?" She asked, shutting the hotel door behind her and coming fully out into the hallway with the man she hoped to one day marry. Marriage was an odd idea if Aminia was honest, before meeting Chaser she'd never thought it would be possible. Of course now even the thought of such made Aminia think that she was getting ahead of herself. After all, what if Chaser changed his mind - there were billions of girls in the world - and Mini was sure at least a hundred would swoon over the flonfy headed man.

Chaser's smile only widened when Aminia opened the door, and dressed as beautiful as ever, his heartbeat began to rise. "Hey," he tried to go in for a hug just as she turned to close the door behind her, so he awkwardly backed off for a moment and hoped she didn't notice, getting off to a very good start. When she turned round once again he lent forward and planted a kiss on her cheek instead, before putting out his hand for her to take. He was very certain he was going to be taking things slowly, but he wanted her to feel like they were on a proper first date again. His heart certainly believed it so. "When am I not?" he laughed unsure, hoping his humour was still one of his selling points. "You really pretty by the way," he added and they began to walk towards the exit, glancing up and down her outfit choice.

Aminia felt her own smile widen when Chaser looked at her and gave her a kiss. Her cheeks heated to a soft rose color and she looked away. Taking his hand she figured maybe it was a good sign that things were going so slowly. After all, a whirlwind romance wasn't interesting to Mini - she wanted the real thing. The blonde giggled at his choice of words. "Maybe we should speak in Korean if English is not as easy." She spoke, commenting on his grammatical faux pa. "You look handsome as well. Have you grown an inch, or is it just your hair?" She teased, walking out of the hotel with him. "I figured, maybe we would get something traditional - I think you might know the place."

Chaser hadn't even realised he'd made an error until Aminia pulled him up on it, he shot her a look but squeezed her hand to let her know he wasn't actually irritated. "It's probably my hair, Lin didn't let me wear his heels today," he mentioned, wondering whether she'd had a chance to talk to him recently. It was only this summer that he even realised his best friend was friends with the blonde, and he doubted they'd even be together now if he hadn't gotten himself involved with whatever their relationship was. Chaser gave her a quizzical look when she mentioned tradition, not taking her for the type, but if the hotel was anything to go by he sure had a small idea in mind. The Korean restaurant down the road did do amazing food after all, "Did you have a good night then?" he asked, referring to the night they first met. Clearly he couldn't have done a terrible job on his first ever date if she wanted to repeat it.

Aminia gave a loud snort at his comment. "That's good, because I was not going to help you take them off." She retorted, remembering Chaser regaling the horror story of Lin's sweaty red boots. "Oh you mean last time. Well I didn't get food poisoning from the food. I did get the sniffles though so I figured maybe fall would be better - no need for a jacket." She teased. "I did. It was the first date I'd ever been on honestly." She laughed gently. "I was so nervous, and everything felt so natural with you. I didn't have to pretend to be this proper, dancer girl. I mean I laughed so hard I spit my drink out almost at one point. You always make me feel so comfortable. And you're not as ugly as Lin." She laughed, entering the restaurant with her and requesting a table for two in Korean, in a way showing off that she still practiced. "How was apparation over here.... uhm did you ever take apparation?" She asked, realizing she'd missed his last year of school.

“Yeah well I hope you have lotion,” Chaser chuckled, knowing how hard it had been to pull the boots of his bro friend when he’d worn them to the Yule ball and he’d hit his head, although in his defence his head had been hit hard. “I’m glad you think so,” he added, walking alongside the blonde, knowing that despite his beautiful jaw line, Chaser was no doubt the most gorgeous. “I did take apparition, but on this occasion I took the plane.” It had been a bumpy ride and they’d not given him any chicken, but at least he’d made it over in one piece. “Look, I know we’re talking things slow, but we don’t have to resort to small talk okay?” It was weird to former Gryffindor that they couldn’t talk to one another as though they knew each other properly, even if it was a little awkward. Chaser paused, turning to face Mini before they went for their food, “I want you for you,” he gave half a smile, and even though they’d had their differences, and they’d both changed a lot, they were still the people they’d been when they’d met.

Aminia laughed. "I do, but only if you want to smell like flowers for the rest of your life." She teased. She then shuddered at the idea of taking a plane. They were dangerous in her mind, more so than floo powder or apparation. She was about to remark on that when he stopped outside of the restaurant, and became a little more serious than she was used to him being. The Veela looked up at him with amber eyes full of wonder and worry. Aminia was scared, that was the truth, she didn't want to mess things up this time - and so she stayed in a safe range of topics to keep from harming their chances. She smiled. "Thank god, I suck at small talk." She said, before opening the door for him. "You ever think Maggie is going to stop hating me?" She asked as they were taken to their table.

Chaser chuckled, "Would that be so terrible?" Some people, ie Linnux, could probably have done with that too. They were taking things slowly but the last thing Chaser wanted was for the last four years to be invalidated. They should learn from what had gone on, and while they were slightly different people now then they were when they'd first started dating, Chaser had to be open to the idea of giving this girl all of himself once again. He thought about Mini's question for a moment. He'd never really known his sister to hold a grudge for long, but she didn't have many people she didn't like. "I expect so." he began, crossing the threshold and entering the warmth of the room, "When she sees you back in my life, and that things have changed, I don't think she'll continue to hold it against you," He didn't blame Maggie for having his back, but ultimately if he could forgive Mini, then she should be able to too.

Aminia laughed. "i suppose it's better than smelling like dirty socks." She jested at him. Once in the restaurant Mini remembered the first time they'd eaten together. She'd never expected Chaser to be such a large and important part of her life, but here they were, together after all these year. After everything she had put him through. She didn't deserve his kindness but he gave it to her anyways. She smiled softly at his words, now seated comfortably at her table. When the waiter came over she ordered her food, Korean a much more comfortable language for her - a third under her belt. "Chaser..." She said, continuing her theme of bad at small talk. "What are we now?" She didn't expect they were anywhere close to where they had been, but being at the start was painful with all the memories between them.

The man chuckled, taking a seat opposite the blonde and placing an order for the food. It seemed like just yesterday that they were doing this for the first time. He hadn’t expected Mini to ask so directly either where they were at now in their relationship, but it was probably for the best that they didn’t leave it hanging in the air. He ran a hand through his flonfy hair, because clasping his hands together and looking the woman in the eyes. Were they ready to be exclusive again? The idea of Mini anyone else was awful, even when he’d thought he’d gotten over her. “I.. want to try again.” He said slowly, trying to figure out the best words. Part of him continued to wonder if he was a fool to let her back into his life, although he did have to admit she’d come a lot long way too in taking control over her own life and what she wanted, that maybe it would good to start fresh with new ideas. “Friends? Neighbours? Former classmates? Former lovers? Future lovers?” He joked, the awkwardness of the situation causing him brief discomfort. “What do you want to be?” His chuckle dying down, back to a more serious face.

Listening to Chaser really decide was painful, and for some reason Aminia almost thought she should have left it open. After all, she knew what she wanted - but she would never want to force his hand. She gave an awkward laugh, not forced - but not pleasant. And then nodded at his question, more acknowledging it than anything. "Merlin, that's been the question huh?" She asked, smiling at him. "I want to make you happy. Not in the way that i wanted my mother or judges happy. I want to make you happy in the way that our happiness grows together." She said, sitting back and thinking more carefully now than ever. "I just know that I want you, and only you." She finally finished, her voice shaking with nerves but her eyes speaking nothing but honesty. She had only wanted Chaser since the moment he'd said he loved her - unabashedly, with no strings attached.

It seemed as though Chaser wasn’t the only one having trouble deciding what their relationship was now. He watched intently as Mini tried to explain herself too, curious to know where she stood at the moment. He had to look down when she was talking about wanting to make him happy, gazing at his hands that rested on the table. Swallowing as he took it in, he let silence pass between them when she’d finished. The last year had been the hardest for him so far, believing that he was just a back up option, and getting over her hadn’t been an easy feat. He knew though at some point, if he was going to do this, he would have to give himself to her fully once again and trust her completely. What more did he want to hear from her before he was convinced? The brunette stood up from the table, moving around to the other side and sliding into the booth seat beside her, only now looking properly at her once again. “I want you too. I don’t want what we had before. I want something better than that.” He swept a piece of blonde hair from her forehead and tucked it behind her ear, “Getting over you was the hardest thing I’ve ever tried to do, and you know, I never really was successful at many things,” one corner of his mouth raised a little at his own joke, “I don’t think I ever mentioned that I think you’ve done a smart thing with your dancing. That, if that wasn’t what you wanted to do then you shouldn’t have been doing it. I can’t imagine the pressure you were under to comply.” It had hurt him if course, but he wasn’t the only one involved either and it couldn’t have been easy for her. With his quieter than ever he continued, “Mini, I never stopped loving you. I never want to stop,” his eyes were searching hers, jumping from one to the other as he spoke.

This conversation was more nerve wracking than any she'd had before - and her mother had spit fire upon finding out that she quit dancing. The blonde couldn't help the blood that seeped into her cheeks turning them scarlet when Chaser came so close to her. With him so close she wondered if her heart was audible, the quick thumping so loud that she would hear it - feel it in her finger tips. No matter how many times she was touched by Chaser, she knew this feeling wouldn't fade. Aminia's mouth was opened slightly, allowing more air into her seemingly collapsing lungs - nerves taking over her and tears welled in her eyes. "Chaser I love you more than all the bananas in the world." She spoke, placing a hand on his cheek and then urging herself forward for a kiss. However - the decision was cut short as the waiter brought the food, and Aminia was robbed of knowing whether her kiss would have been returned. "I love you too." She said again.

The man grinned widely at her comment, knowing that was very hard because there were a lot of bananas okay. Her hand on his cheek was comforting, and while he knew it missed her touch he hadn’t really realised how much until that moment. He jumped when the waiter arrived, pulling back a little and thanking him but never taking his eyes off the blonde. Could it ever be possible to feel as though he knew her better than he knew himself at times? The second the waiter left the pair to it, Chaser leant forward in his seat, arm sliding round her waist and kissing her firmly as though it could have been the last time he ever would. The food could wait. Onlookers could look. Right now the only thing of importance was sat right next to him and there was nothing that was going to stop him. When they finally stopped, a little out of breath and red cheeked, a new smile formed on Chasers face, “Does this mean you’re up for being my girlfriend?”

If this was three years ago Aminia would have been upset. She had an image, and an over bearing mother. She and Chaser were never meant to be this way. But in the moment that his lips met hers, it didn’t matter anymore. She was Chaser’s, he was hers, and there was no waiter, mother, or stink yet best friend who was most likely behind them in a booth and wig watching, that could separate them. The kiss broke and Aminia felt her heart swell. “Yes. A million times yes.” She spoke, kissing him again. The start once more of something beautiful was at Aminia’s fingertips, and this time she would never let it go.
