Lydia had been rather pleased by how things had happened today, the roses had been such a welcome surprise, and even more so the anonymous one, it hadn't taken her too long for her to think about who it could be from and find said person. Of course in her mind there was little shadow of a doubt who it would be from, there was no one else who had any interest in her, much less love her. So it was clear who it would be, and how well it had all worked out for her. She had been the fault of the end of their relationship before, and the one who'd found him today and just planted a kiss upon his lips today. So, things were of course different, but they were certainly not a bad thing. The girl had left his company a little before the beginning of the dance, vowing to meet him at it, and promising to not take too long. Lydia had gone through many dresses unsure of which one to pick, which that she could wear for the evening, to her it was sure to be a good evening and she wanted the dress to match the kind of evening that she wanted. Eventually Lydia settled upon a lightly gold dress, not quite valentines red, but certainly something. She walked through the halls, and found as she got to the hall that she had managed to reach it before him, which suited her fine, she just got herself something to drink as she waited for him.

Felix questioned his decision to send Lydia a rose since the moment his note was finalised. He may not have signed the note, but Lydia was clever and he knew it was only a matter of time before she realised that the red rose was from him, his note wasn't exactly subtle. So it wasn't much of a surprise when Lydia tracked him down earlier that day, what was a surprise was when she found him, and without saying a world, she had planted a kiss on his lips. Just like that all was right with the world. They spent most of the day together and agreed to meet up at the dance. Felix had originally planned on going solo so when he made his way back to the dorm his suit was all ready to go. He dressed, fixed his tie several times, never quite happy with the knot, and eventually he was ready to head downstairs to the Great hall. Lydia wasn't outside the Great hall when he got there so he assumed she was already inside, he quickly spotted her getting herself a drink and in a spur of the moment decision he took a leaf out of her own playbook and made his way over to her planting a kiss on her lips.
