Summer Holidays

Vasilka didn't like to see them leave. She turned to Jaken, her black lips didn't move a muscle. Her eyes fierce. Vasilka finally muttered, "No point in staying here then." Vasilka stood up, and turned to walk out the front door. Of course, she would wait for Jaken's response, as always. She always loved it when Jaken would try to get her to stay.

Jaken saw the two men exit the living room. He felt appalled to know that he had another cousin. Although, he didn't know what relation he had to the other Zhefarovich they were referring to. He glanced at Vasilka, and she stood up and walked toward the front door. Jaken's curiosity took control and asked her, "Hey, Vasilka, where are you going?" He wondered whether she knew of the other Zhefarovich.

Vasilka hid her smirk, as her prediction came true. She turned her head and opened the door, sunlight bathing her pale skin. She revealed, "Uncle Chavdar Zhefarovich's house." She shut the door behind her, smirking as she walked outside.

Jaken watched Vasilka leave, and shook his head. Chavdar, definitely a Bulgarian name. then that must be my uncle. If he has already warmed up to Vasilka, he must be a nice guy... Jaken concluded in his head. He then spread out on the couch, and closed his eyes. He couldn't hear anything besides muffled tones of the men speaking, those hard to tell who was who and who was saying what. It wasn't long before Jaken was asleep.

A few days later...

Jaken was laying down on the couch, feeling quite tired. His father was gone, leaving him alone with his grandfather, who was over on the chair in front of him. Jaken hasn't spoken to Asparuh, and decided that now might be a good time. Jaken glanced over at Asparuh, and felt speechless. Just looking at him made Jaken a little terrified. However, it was just like looking at his father. Jaken took a deep breath and calmly ask, "So, Asparuh, how is Alessine?" Jaken wondered how he would react.

Asparuh rubbed his Mark slightly. He was recalling his old memories, of being somewhat betrayed by his wife, or dead wife rather, and lying about her blood status. At least he had one pureblood child. Although, he preferred the pureblood to have been passed on to Kalif. Asparuh was rudely interrupted by his grandson, and sighed. Asparuh was forced to stare at Jaken, yet wondering where his looks came from. He saw the maybe Jaken looked like himself, and not Kalif. Asparuh chuckled, "Alessine is fine." He felt something in his Mark. Kalif was summoning them. Asparuh stood up and smirked, "It is time to go." Before Jaken would have a say, Asparuh approached him and grabbed his arm. He apparated to wherever Kalif's location was.

Jaken heard Asparuh's answer, and before he could say anything, he heard that it was time to go. Feeling rather confused by this, Jaken sat up and stared at Asparuh. Asparuh then stood up and grabbed him by his arm. Jaken tried to get away from his grip, but Asparuh's strength was powerful. Before he knew it, Asparuh had taken him somewhere, somewhere unfamiliar.
