Ajaccio was very rarely found anywhere else but outside when it was this point in the summer. It didn’t matter where he was, if it was summer then he was outside. The boy had taken a spot of the grounds, by the lake, he had dumped his books, and his robes on the group. He rolled up the sleeves of his shirt and discarded the tie to be with the pile of other discarded school items. The boy had brought his skateboard, but he wasn’t that interested in the item right now. In his bag, he had the kite, the summer air that day wasn’t giving much wind, so it was likely to be useless. The summer always worsened his curls, mostly to a point where the snap back hats wouldn’t always help keep them tame because of frizzy they could get. He hadn’t bothered with a hat, and his bird’s nest for hair, was sticking wildly out at all angles. He stood looking around the grounds for a moment before he leaned down to his bag, and from within produced a small magical radio, he took some time to tune it, unlike the radios he was used to, and found a station, clearly playing popular magical music. He turned the sound up and decided he might as well practice his handstands, so he did so. He wasn’t particularly good at the free standing ones, but Ajaccio didn’t care he could practice until he got good at them. It didn’t matter how often he found himself falling flat on his back. So, Ajaccio did the first and when he fell, got back up and tried again. There were worse ways to spend the time.

Juno had been sat beside the lake for some time. It was peaceful to watch and listen to the water doing its thing, and she couldn’t get enough. Living in the dungeons was even worse during the summer months, when they had no natural light or warmth pouring in. She wondered if the other houses knew how lucky they were. A flash of blue and the familiar sound of a song she’d not heard for years broke her thoughts, and she glanced over to see one of the kids from her class trying to do handstands. He was clearly enjoying himself over there. Juno shifted in her seat, getting a bit numb since she’d been sat on the grass for over half an hour, but her eyes kept darting back to the boy. She didn’t really have any intention of making more friends, especially if she ended up leaving the school since it was pointless to let people down, but she could sit there and watch him break his back trying. She hopped up into her feet, brushing down her baggy jeans and wandering over towards him with a frown on her face from squinting through the sunlight. “You know, there’s better ways of learning that then landin’ on yer back mate,” she called out, wondering if he was trying out for something.

Ajaccio looked at the girl who came over to him, he gave her a warm smile and shrugged, ”Okay, how would you do one?” he asked, thinking that if she was saying that, that she might think there were better ways to do handstands. He was learning anyway and would accept any and all help that she might give to him regarding it. Although perhaps she didn’t know but had suggestions on how to learn that didn’t come from her He thought it would be odd if she was telling him that there were better ways of learning things without knowing how to do it herself. ”Unless you were just going to suggest a place where I can find out how to do it, then I don’t need it. You learn best by just doing it,” he told her, before giving a little shrug, ”Or well, I do,” he clarified knowing that some people definitely wouldn’t learn in the same manner that he tended to.
