Hair: Summer has long, blonde and often wavy hair. She likes to try different things with it, see what hairstyles work for her and which ones make her look the prettiest. She loves her hair, but that doesn't mean there aren't downsides to it. For once, she hates how frizzy it can get when the air is humid. It also gets tangled rather easily, something that often fuels her frustration when she's trying out something new.
Eyes: Her eyes are blue of colour, she truly thinks they are nothing special. She would've preferred lighter eyes, or even green ones. Anything to make her stand out. Not that she'd ever tell anyone something of the sort. Summer's eyes are also a little downturned, which she thinks makes them at least a little more interesting.
Distinguishing features: She has a significant scar over her collarbone leading back to a small accident when she was nine years old. One of the older kids at the daycare was pushing her on the swing and Summer, perhaps a little too enthustiastically, kept asking to go higher and higher. One thing lead to another and the situation ended up with her being thrown off the swing, breaking her collarbone in the process.
Piercings: Leaning into the previous situation, Summer managed to get her parents to allow her to get both of her ears pierced at age seven after the swing accident. It took a lot of convincing and definitely some crocodile tears, but eventually her mom took her to the mall as a small consollation for having to deal with the broken collarbone.
Style: Summer is very much a girly girl when it comes to her clothes. In general, she just likes to look pretty. Whether that be in a skirt or a pair of jeans doesn't matter much. As long at is feels like it suits her. Despite what one might think looking at her incredible favour for the colour pink her wardrobe does in fact hold many different colours. No matter how much she likes pink, she would never just dress in one colour. That's just boring and she's anything but.
Accent: Even though she was originally born in the UK, Summer's parents moved to New Zealand when she wasn't even a year old. She grew up in the country and being surrounded by so many people with Kiwi accents she developed one herself as well. Her parents don't mind, but her mom would be lying if she said it wouldn't have been nice for her kids to have an Irish accent just so she didn't stand out so much.

Summer is very much someone who wants others to pay attention to her. She deserves it, after all. She's pretty, she's fun and she's definitely someone everyone would want to be friends with. Or, well, that's how she sees herself. It's all mostly true though. In general, Summer is a fun person to be around. Social. Outgoing. Will she always be 100% genuine? Absolutely not. She believes in putting her best foot forward when it comes to making friends, which can involve several things that might lead to her bending the truth. Just a little bit. Think faking an interest in someone else's hobbies or giving out compliments when in reality she doesn't believe in what she just said. She'd do it all if it gained her a new friend, someone that likes her. Someone that could tell others how much they like her and get the ball rolling. Truth be told: she doesn't need to consider someone a friend for them to consider her a friend, right?

That doesn't mean that Summer won't care about anything though. She's not the most difficult person to befriend. Genuinely befriend. For anyone to get her to like them they just need to keep her entertained. Tell her she's pretty every now and then. That's the easiest way to win her appreciation and her approval. Let's just say it's difficult to grow up in a household with three other siblings. No matter how hard your parents try. When Summer does genuinely consider someone a friend she'd be willing to share everything with them. Keep them updated on whatever is going on. Spend as much time with them as she can. She probably wouldn't catch a bullet for you, but you can bet she isn't afraid to dish out insults to anyone belittling her friends.

Background
​

Summer's parents met by chance at a wedding back when they were in their early twenties. Her mom had known the married couple due to family ties, her dad had come as a plus one for a friend. The two immediately hit it off and the rest is history. They moved in together and had Summer a couple of years later, completely over the moon with their little girl. No matter how sweet life seemed though, Summer's dad was stuck in a loop of disappointing memories back in England. Memories of his own parents, which was far from the type of parent he wanted to be for his own kid. He needed a change of scenery. Badly. So, after much deliberation and some help from old school friends, they packed up their things and moved to New Zealand where eventually all three of her siblings would be born.

Looking back on it, Summer's childhood was great. Admittedly, having four kids made things a little difficult for her parents from time to time. They loved their kids, but at times struggled to divide their attention which mostly ended up in Summer being a little overlooked at times. Especially once her baby sister was born. Such, apparently, is the fate of being the oldest child.

Luckily, having three siblings eventually meant she always had someone to hang out with, even though her brothers had a habit of teaming up against her. It was at times like that she resented her brothers a little for being so close in age. It made her wish her sister had been born first, just so that they could have what her brothers always had. Annoying as they could be though, Summer loves her brothers and genuinely enjoys having them around. For selected periods of time. If anything, living with four siblings had made her excited to head to Hogwarts from an early age. The idea of spending two years at the school before one of her siblings would join her sounds like it could be just what she needs.

FIRST YEAR (Y45)

Summer had a great first year at Hogwarts. She's gotten to know quite a few people and feels like she has gotten most of them to like her. She could perhaps even consider some of them her friends. Classes were.. well, classes. They were fine, but didn't interest her very much. She did, however, get accepted to try out for the Slytherin Quidditch Team as a first year and managed to secure herself an alternate position! On top of that, she won the prize for best overall costume during the Halloween costume contest. All in all, things were going pretty good.

SECOND YEAR (Y46)
Summer's second year at Hogwarts wasn't a bad one, yet not one to write home about either. She had altercations with some of her classmates like Morrie and Miro. Luckily, she also had fun with her friends at the Halloween feast and the Yule ball. In class, Summer did acceptable. The same goes for quidditch, although she enjoyed her time on the bench a little more this year with the addition of Oskar to the team. Summer took an interest in the new transfer student and might have even developed a little crush on him.
