Summer was never going to pass up an excuse to dress up. Especially not when the excuse involved strutting around the great hall where everyone could see how effortlessly cool and pretty she was. She had decided on wearing a cute little pink moment with just enough glitter to keep her satisfied. Shoes to match, obviously. Other than that she had decided on keeping her look simple. No big accessories, no bag to match. Just her dress, shoes and her own shiny personality. Walking into the hall Summer looked up at the ceiling in awe, admiring the moon for a second before the headed straight towards her target: the dancefloor. If she was going to make sure she was going to be seen then she might as well have a little fun while doing so. And the risk of falling down and embarassing herself made the ice rink a no-go zone. Which meant the dancefloor was definitely the place to be. Finding a spot inbetween the already dancing crowd of students Summer threw her hands up in the air and started dancing. As long as the music wouldn't change to something slow she'd be absolutely fine.

Elise had been told that the Yule ball usually had a winter theme from her brother, so she wasn't that surprised when she saw the snowy ground and the large Christmas tree. She had lost track of her brother and her friends as she focused on the snow falling. When she finally remembered where she was she was standing alone, but she didn't mind. She noticed that the dance floor was filling up and she was eager to join. Her dress was one of her favorites, flowy and black, and she loved the way her sleeves rippled as she walked. She looked around one more time for her friends but saw a girl from her year dancing too. Elise did a small spin as she approached. "Mind if I join you?" she asked giving a small bow. Playing up the formality as if she was asking a princess to dance, and she wasn't far off considering how the other girl was dressed.

Summer had no trouble dancing on her own. The music was fun and upbeat and she was surrounded by other students. Even if she had been the only person out on the dancefloor she wouldn't have minded. Perhaps that'd even been a little fun. It would certainly mean all eyes were on her. Still, this was fun. Summer watched one of her classmates twirl her way and put on a bright smile when the girl gave her a little bow. She definitely enjoyed people treating her like royalty, even if it their actions weren't meant to be taken very seriously. "That depends.." She replied in a light-hearted tone just before the music switched again. "Got any good moves?"

Elise was curious when the other girl seemed to hesitate before letting her join and she considered her question. She had never thought much about dancing and tended to let her body do what ever the music made her think of. "I'm not sure." she said truthfully and listened to the music's upbeat tempo before moving her arms along to the melody and soon her body joined in. She continued for to dance before doing another spin. "How was that?" she asked.
