Over the years Felix had run an annual stand, offering the chance for students to put forward any suggestions or problems that they wanted him to take to a professor, maybe even directly the Headmaster. He'd even been interviewed about in the Hogwarts Monthly, but so far he wasn't feel like his position was very helpful, and there weren't a lot of people that wanted to reach out. Maybe everyone thought the way Morrie had last time he'd tried; that he was wasting his time. He had enough experience to know that having someone looking out for others wellbeing was a good cause however, but maybe how he'd approached it was wrong. Maybe he couldn't do anything by himself, and maybe students didn't come to him because they didn't want to tattle on their classmates, only for the professors to be involved anyway. It had taken a bit of thought, but Felix was set on his plan, and he'd headed to the Great Hall armed with a handful of fresh leaflets and a grin that said you know you want to.
The fourth year was now stood on a bench at the Gryffindor table, handing out the leaflets to anyone close enough to be blessed by one. He didn't know if there had been a student council in the past, but he wanted to put together a group of likeminded students that wanted to help out. "I'm looking for joiners," he was explaining. "It's not a club, just a group of us who get together to talk about things that are happening around the school. How can we help kids feel more settled in? Look at some of the first years, some of them don't even know where they are half the time." Maybe it wouldn't have been a bad shout to install signage around the castle. Felix knew there were students out there with concerns or problems that were never voiced, but maybe if they could band together a group of students that wanted to help, they'd have a better shot of making the seven years students spent at the school a little more comfortable.
