It had been a long time; though it felt like it had happened just yesterday. It had only been two months since the ring actually came off of her finger. She had put it on a chain, and around her neck. And there it would stay, and Ava didn't think it was ever going to come off. She would never stop missing Nicolas. Terrible, lonely thoughts often ran through her head. She spent a thousand lonely nights, both wanting to go out, but needing to stay home.
Tonight had taken a great deal for her to actually push herself out of her house. Ava often wanted to go out with some of her friends, but she could hardly blame them for not being able to. They had their own families, and so would she, if it hadn't been for a terrible person ruining her life. It wasn't fair that one person had ruined her. That one person thought it was okay to take someone else's life away from them. What gave her the right?! If she hadn't done it, Ava would be at home with her husband. Or out with him. Instead, she was sat at a bar by herself. Nothing near the school. It would be terrible to run into a parent, or a student, being a brightstone weekend. Ava was beginning to wonder how this was better than being at home alone. Now, she was just out, watching other people having fun, being in love. She was holding her firewhiskey tightly, taking another sip, enjoying the burning feeling. Ava didn't think she would be able to last much longer sitting by herself.
