Padme was determined to get better at spell casting, so she went to the duelling chamber and got one of the dummies she could practice on. She held her wand and then after a little moment where she let herself relax, cast, "Stupefy," on it. She would practice her spells for as long as she could and she'd get so good at them with enough practice.

As nice as it might have been to work off some anger, Shale had decided early on that she wasn't going to join the dueling club at Hogwarts. She didn't trust herself not to get angry enough to just hit an opponent, and as hard as she found it to care about school, she didn't actually want to get expelled. It was nice to come down here sometimes though, just practice some spells and work off some steam on the training dummies. She was surprised to find she wasn't alone when she entered the chamber, pausing at its edge and staring silently at the girl practicing. Shale recognised her from classes, but didn't know her name, watching her practice silently.

It was a quiet time in the castle so Olivia decided to get in some spell practice while she could without feeling guilty about blowing off studying. When she arrived at the duelling chamber she found two girls already there, given the time of year she had assumed, and hoped, she would have the place to herself. One girl, she believed was called Padme, was practicing the stunning spell and another girl was watching. Olivia wasn't sure if she should do or say anything but found herself moving closer to the other girl watching. "Were you assuming this would be empty too?"

Padme had practiced a few more spells before she noticed that she wasn't alone in the room. There were two girls from her year, Olivia and Shale somthing - neither were hufflepuffs like she was. "There are other dummies to practice on over there," she pointed to where she'd gotten hers, "If we stand apart there's plenty space to all practice,"

What Shale had been hoping would be a quiet, solitary practice was quickly becoming a crowded scene and she hunched her shoulders, glaring at the other two girls out of instinct. "Whatever." She grumbled, storming over to where the dummies were kept to grab one for herself. She barely wanted to be here anymore with so many people around, but turning around and walking right back out would feel worse if anything.

Olivia eyed the girl at her side who seemed completely uninterested in her and Padme and stormed off to practice on a dummy. Olivia shrugged her shoulders at Padme, "Sorry for interrupting you," She said as she took out her wand and went over to another one of the practice dummies. Olivia couldn't help but watch Shale out the corner of her eye wondering why the girl had been so dismissive of her.

Padme was a little surprised when one of the two girls just glared at them. It seemed a bit unnecessary. But, she gave a little smile to the other girl, Olivia, who apologised, "It's okay, it's a free space to practice," she told her. it wasn't like Padme had been practicing there to be able to be alone. She didn't mind the company. She just turned back to her dummy and cast, "Incendio,"

Shale did her best to tune out the other two girls in the space, focusing on her own dummy as she took up a dueling stance and tried to fire off a spell. "Reducto!" Her focus was off though, distracted by the company, and Shale missed her dummy entirely, creating a small divot in the wall where her spell had struck. Her eyes widened in horror and she took a step backwards quickly. "Sh*t."
