Trixie was very nervous when she entered the Great Hall. She was very engrossed in the scene. She wished she had a hundred eyes to see all the wonders around her. See, it had been her first time. She didn't have any idea what to do until thankfully, she overheard other students whose brothers and sisters went to Hogwarts. She was relieved to find out that you would only have to sit on a chair and put on a 'Sorting Hat'. She was so taken away by the decorations and the floating candles and the teachers and just about everything when she didn't realize that her name had been called four times. "Gabuya, Trixie!". She was very worried for she didn't realize that you would have to sit in front of the whole school to get sorted. As she stepped towards the Hat, she saw many students. Oh how very magical they looked in those robes! She thought she didn't have to worry. Soon she would be one of those students who considered Hogwarts as their home. As she went near the Sorting Hat, only now had she realized that it had a giant slit. She supposed this was the mouth. And it was very worn indeed. She wondered why the people here didn't want to wash the Sorting Hat. As she sat, she felt all eyes on her. Just before she put on the Sorting Hat, she thought to herself, "I hope I'll be sorted in the house that I'll be most happy with." Just then, a voice inside the hat answered,

"RAVENCLAW!"

kingles walks into the great hall he overwhelmed its amazing sight hs sees the sorting hat ...it calls his name...

Anita joined the rest of her new classmates outside the great hall, and waited to be let in. She didn't really understand the houses, and didn't really know what one she wanted to be in. All she wanted to do was try her best at everything she could.
She followed her classmates through the great hall as the big doors opened, and Anita felt a little afraid at the number of faces looking at the group. As she reached the front of the hall, she watched as everyones names were called, and the sorting hat was placed on their heads.

"Harvey. Anita" she heard, and pushed her way out of the group to take her position on the stool. This part would determine where she belonged. Where did she belong? She didn't even know..

"Fortunately, it's me who has to know where you belong - not you. You're a HUFFLEPUFF!"

It was that early morning. Today was the day. Today I was going to be sorted. You'd think an eleven year old wouldn't even care what he'd be sorted into. However, he did. He wanted to be Gryffindor. To him it'd seem like an honor. An honor he'd have to hold his head high to. He really didn't want to be a Slytherin due to most of them being evil. However his Dad was one and it wouldn't surprise him if that's what he got sorted into. He didn't really feel smart enough to be in Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff was a maybe. If it was his choice though, he'd go into Gryffindor. That's where most friends are made. Plus he'd rather be a lion with wings then a giant green worm. "PAUL SKULLEBREW." It was his time. He walked up and sat down. The hat was placed on his head.

"Your choice is also appropriate. GRYFFINDOR!"

As I walk in the great hall, I could see the sky on the ceiling. And, I'm utterly speachless. I know that it was made by magic, but it was so beautiful to look at that I just wanted to look there for the rest of the evening. I could see 4 long tables in the hall. While waiting for my turn, I was looking at the ceiling. It really fascinated me. Until then, I heard my name called, Jackson, Artemis! I walked up to the hat, and it was placed on my head. Waiting for it's decision, I was hoping it would say Gryffindor... After a few seconds it said.....

"No, you're not a Gryffindor. You are most certainly a SLYTHERIN!"

Julia Maria Wright stepped into a big room and immediately her hands clasped awkwardly together- her fingers entertwining themselves as was habitual for her nervousness. This place was big, and there was so many people. Julia was not used to so many people, but she stared at the ground, her head bowed respectively as she'd been taught by her grandmother.

What if she weren't sorted? What if she had to go back home to live with her Grandmother...or worse, what if her Grandmother sent her to that boarding school she'd been keenly eyeing. She'd come so far now, she couldn't afford to just.....not get sorted.

As her name was called, the blonde's hands felt clammy- not a good look, acoording to her Grandmother. She wiped them on her skirt before remembering that she wasn't meant to do that. Grandmother wouldn't be pleased.

She sat on the stool, all the while fretting about it. Julia Maria Wright was nervous. She whispered to the hat, "please Sir Mr Hat Sir.....please don't eat my brain...I need it...."

"You do need it, indeed. But if you thought I would eat it - peerhaps you need to use it more. RAVENCLAW!"

Jess felt very nervous for the Sorting. However, when the doors to the Great Hall opened, almost all her nervousness vanished. She had never seen anything so magical her whole life! She doesn't even know if this is real life anymore. She didn't notice all the other first years getting sorted. All she noticed was the magical ceiling above, amazed the she can see the sky outdoors. "Weasley, Jess!" a voice said, then suddenly she snapped back to reality. She slowly walked down the aisle to where the stool stood, then she sat down on the stool nervously. Then she felt the sorting hat on her head.

"You can become quite a great witch in RAVENCLAW!"

The castle was bigger than Dorothy thought and it did look old, she hated the design of it although she didn't mind living in this place. The young girl glanced to her side spotting kids whimpering and some looked nervous. A smirk appeared on her face as she continued chewing the droobles not caring if she was allowed having it at the moment or not. And beside, none of the Professors could see what she was doing. Little Dorothy tipped toe trying to find where her twin brother was, sadly she could spot him nowhere. A frown appeared on her face as she continued walking toward the group of first years and lined up. She looked up and saw floating candles and looked to the front and spot a hat, not just a hat but a talking hat.

Students were called one by one, Dorothy laughed at some students who were nervous. But suddenly she heard her name being called. The young girl held her head high, spotting her cousins staring at her. She walk toward the stool and sat on it, plastering her cold looks. She was no longer chewing her gum because all the attention was on her and she didn't want detention yet. Dorothy rolled her eyes as she felt the hat on her, she felt odd having a talking head on her head. Hurry up you old hat! She thought, being impatient.

"Hurry up? Come now, without me you'll never learn a thing about magic. No, I think it's quite important that I take my time with this one. You know, you don't have to be incredibly rude just to be in Slytherin. I know that's what you want, but you can be kind and make friends and such even as a Slytherin. Most especially, you should have a profound respect for magic in Slytherin - especially old magic. That is to say, 'Hurry up you old hat' - not exactly something that Salazar would say, or expect anybody else to say. Perhaps you'll learn some of that reverence. SLYTHERIN!"

walking into the beautiful great hall, I look around to see four long tables filled with young witches and wizards and my heart begins to race. What if my name doesnt get read and this is all a mistake. Standing up the front the names are being read out in alphabetical order, it gets closer and closer to my name. 'Robinson, Anna'. My heart is about to leap out of my chest. I can feel myself shaking as i approach the stool and hat. As it comes down over my eyes I hear a voice, deep and soothing. I feel myself relax as my future is decided before me...

"Another one for SLYTHERIN!"

walking into the hall valtier feels a great sense of warmth and welcome and is overjoyed that he has a place where he belongs. his name gets called and he steps forward he is nervous and exited at the same time. the sorting hat calls out his house....

"Gryffindor!"

"Skylar Day!" Skye heard her name being called by a professor. She got up from her seat, and proceeded to walk towards the sorting hat. She could feel everybody looking at her as she was walking. Skye had mixed emotions inside of her. She was feeling very excited, nervous, and curious. She sat on the hard, wooden stool and waited for her to be sorted.

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

Aramis entered the great hall and took a moment to take in his surroundings. He'd heard all the stories about Hogwarts and receiving his acceptance letter triggered all the great hall and sorting ceremony stories, but being there in person was what finally made it all real. He watched eagerly as students names began to be called out alphabetically. "Hufflepuff!" The sorting hat yelled, sorting the girl who was currently sitting on the stool. Aramis glanced around at the different house tables, wondering what house he would be sorted into 'Mother was in Hufflepuff..' he thought remembering his mothers whispering 'Tell the hat you want to be in Hufflepuff' as she left him. 'Father on the other hand was a Gryffindor' he thought wondering if the houses his parents were in would affect the house he would be sorted into. He glanced over at the Slytherin table in time to see a girl spill her glass of drink down a first years robes. 'At lease I wont be there' Aramis thought with a smile. "DEVITT ARAMIS" . Aramis jumped slightly startled by how quickly his name had turned up. Aramis walked up to the stool confidently, glad to know this meant the end to his curiosity. He sat down and pulled the hat over his head 'I don't wanna be in Hufflepuff' he thought suddenly. He rethought for a moment 'I take that back' he thought to the hat, hoping the hat really did hear his thoughts and he wasn't thinking so much for no reason 'I trust your judgement, I just want to be where I will fit in' he thought 'Where I will be challenged to do my best and succeed' he thought before clearing his head and waiting silently for the hats decision.

"Trusting my judgement is best. And I think you're unique from both your parents. You are to be a RAVENCLAW!"

Serenity was scared as she walked into the Great Hall not knowing what to expect but at having come upon the long tables and people talking and chatting she started to feel at home. Her father had warned her that things were very big there and she knew that she could get lost but she knew that as long as she made friends it would be ok. Everyone was gathered while students were called up one at a time one by one the intense presure gathering in on her. Even though she knew it was coming she still got a little shy when she heard, "Serenity Sky" she walked up sat down and felt the hat on her head waiting and hoping for the very news that would tell her where she would spend the next seven years.

"Wait no longer! You're a RAVENCLAW!"

Ademar, feeling like a sick dog, left the train with a quesy feeling of nervousness and guilt. No less than two weeks ago he had been happy, a church choir boy; now he had no home, no where to go. He hated this school, he hated his robes, he wanted his old life back. Upon entering the building, Ademar looked around. The little Amish boy had never seen such a place. It was almost like a fairy-tale, but he had to shake free, this was evil. Pure evil. He didn't want to be here. What about his three older sisters, and his two younger brothers? What would they do without him. He sighed, and looked at his feet.

Ademar kept his head down until he bumped into someone in front of them. Blushing he apologized, and then tilted his head down again. He heard a loud voice rattle off many names, ones stranger than his own Germanic name. Finally the time came, and he was called up. Ademar took a breath of large proportions, and approached the stool as if he was on trial. Then, a dark, almost musty hat, was placed on his head. He didn't know how he'd be sorted, or maybe he'd be beaten. A right of passage, perhaps? The young boy, now scared, started singing in his head, "This little light of mine... I'mma let it shine" his accent heavy, even in his mind. He then waited, almost bracing himself, to see just what this school had.

"You'll come to appreciate magic in time. In the interim, you'll be with friends in HUFFLEPUFF!"

Arthur waited to be sorted, after watching his two siblings get sorted into their houses he walked forwards stumbling only slightly as he sat down and placed the sorting hat on top of his head. He wasn't sure what he was going to expect but knew that it would come sooner than later. "Hmm... I guess I should want to be sorted with my family" Arthur thought as he looked at the insides of the hat, "But would that really be fun and interesting?" Arthur added with a questioning addition. He smirked underneath the hat as he continued to ponder which house he should be placed in. "I guess it doesn't really matter what house I'm going to be in anyways, if you really put students where they are supposed to go then I'm sure I will be with similar people" Arthur whispered to the hat not sure if it would reply to him. He knew that whatever house he was in he would definitely get into some trouble. "I wonder if they would catch me if I sneak out tonight, I bet they wouldn't expect that" Arthur thought as he giggled slightly at the idea that was forming in his head. "I bet you know some good places to visit, mind telling me some good ones to see" Arthur decided to ask, though he was quite sure that the Hat was unlikely to help him he still had to try considering the fact that nothing ventured was nothing gained. "Sorry, I bet I'm thinking too much so you can't figure out what house I should be in" Arthur whispered to hat once more as he lifted it up slightly to look at the other students. "I guess I should just be quiet until you figure it out" Arthur said as he looked at all the colors, Yellow was so blase, Blue was decent, Red was his favorite color though Green was not too bad. It was hard not to think and he was sure that he wouldn't be able to do it, he tried his hardest though to just sit and wait though his foot began to tap on the ground as he began to grow impatient.

"SLYTHERIN!"

Gwen walked into the Great Hall. She could not believe that she was really here. It was exciting and scary all at the same time. She wanted to be sorted but than yet again she did not. What if she did not like the house that she was sorted into? Could she switch houses if she just didn't fit well with the other girls. Looking to her siblings. Gwen wiggled her fingers at them. Surely it would soon be her turn to be sorted. But what if her name was never called? Would they just put her back on the train and that would be it? Oh all the questions and thoughts that where in her head.

Drifting off into a daydream Gwen almost missed her name being called. Running to the front she skidded to a stop in front of the Sorting Hat. Picking it up softly Gwen set it on her head. Alright Sorting Hat. Sort me. But first can you tell me how you work? Do you have a Mrs? If not would you like one? Gwen thought, tapping her foot on the ground Gwen wondered how she looked to everyone else with the hat on her head.

"I work by magic, obviously - just like anything else. Now go join GRYFFINDOR!"

Sara didn't know why she was even planning on going to Hogwarts when she could of just gotten into Drumstrang but her father wanted her to go and "make him proud." she hated that even her sister was excited as they filed into the great hall she looked over at the slytherin table, "yeah that probably where they will put me" she said, her name was called right after her sisters, "Sara Sky" she walked up and felt the hat on her head, "Slytherin would be nice" she whispered to it.

"As you wish. SLYTHERIN!"

Xander stood near the front of the line in the Great Hall, as he watched student after student get called up to sit on the chair. He had never been good with standing up and being in front of everybody - The prospect of that was the cause of his slightly nausea. He had a feeling that there was something in his throat and he had to cough it out. Taking a deep breath, Xander found himself at the very front of his line - And when his name was called he swiftly strode up to the stool. Once he was seated, he felt the hat being put on his head and he opened his eyes, looking at the crowd seated at the many tables before him.

"You seem to me to be the type for HUFFLEPUFF!"

Hogwarts. Had they not been looking forward to this day since they had first heard the stories? Had they not picked up sticks and pretended they where wands years before this? Now they where here and Morrigan for one was more than happy to be here. It didn't matter for her really where she ended up as long her siblings where here to support her. She of course wanted to learn all she could about magic herself. Had she not slept with the works of Nicolas Flammel under her pillow since she learned how to read. Yes a lot of the things where above the level of reading for most children but Morrigan had made it a point to find out about anything she didn't understand.

This had probably lead to the explosion in the kitchen when she had tried to get into her potions books early. "I cleaned up afterwards." Morrigan muttered to herself as she stood in line for her sorting. Her brother and sisters where there too, having them there had a calming affect on her. She imagined each of then getting into a different house one for each table. A Slytherin, a Ravenclaw, a Gryffendor, and a Hufflepuff Graves. Then she thought of the personalities of her siblings. Well if there was anyone that would be a Hufflepuff it would be here. She was kind enough for it but really one could never tell or that's what those that went through the sorting said. Morrigan heard her name called after her sister's and made her way up to the stool. She sat down and waited for the hat to call out the house where she was going to spend the next seven years of her life

"I don't see you in Hufflepuff at all. You're very much a RAVENCLAW!"

Larissa crossed her arms and sulked in the corner of the room, away from the other students. She was not meant to be here, and certainly didn't belong in this old weird school. She had enjoyed her life with her mother at the primary school before now, and had been furious to hear she was going to have to leave it behind to become a full-time freak. She waited for the talking hat to call her name, and put her wherever it thought she should go. Why did a hat have such power? Why couldn't Larissa just pick for herself? She waited silently on her own.

"Rindlesea. Larissa" she heard, and glared at the students that turned to look at her. She made her way up the steps and thumped down on the stool, re-folding her arms across her chest. Why was everyone looking at her? Why couldn't they leave her along? Hurry up will you she thought, willing for this to be over and done with quickly.

"SLYTHERIN!"

Greyson sauntered inside the great hall, he was feeling rather nervous by the time he got out of the train. To this point he now believe that there was such a thing as magic and there really was a wizarding world. A world in which so many muggels were not aware of its existing. How could this happen? He question this many times over and over again, but like many other unexplained situation, he guess everything have it's place in live. Weather it was wrong or felt right, being a wizard is one of those situation you had to accept. He was dealing with a sudden change, a whole new change and life. Not to long ago he was going to enter the sixth grade, in a brand new school, right across the town he live in. And now this, change, wow was a word to describe it.

He stood there, listening to what the young looking headmistress had to say, she was so young and yet she was in charge running this school? This made it more buzzard for Greyson. He stood waiting after her speech was done and a hat started to sing a song much describing each of the houses that were there. No freaking way a singing hat, what else did this world have to offer? He was so spellbound by the hat, he didn't catch anything what it said, whatsoever. Greyson stared for a very long time, his name was eventually called out. Taking slow and steady step, he made up to the stool and sat down, he was still nervous by this point though it didn't matter. He just wanted to see what house he belong and explore further of what's it like to be a Hogwarts student.

"You have a lot to offer the house of HUFFLEPUFF!"

Morgause walked up to the sorting hat and waited for the answer to be said. She was the first to be sorted in her family which was right considering she was older than the rest by more than two minutes. She hated the thought of being part of a set and was always trying to distinguish herself from the rest of her siblings despite that she was also quick to put herself in charge of them. She looked back and smiled at her sisters and scowled at the look on Arthur's face since he had been quick to mock her stating that she would end up in some loser House. "Ravenclaw or Slytherin" Morgause thought to the hat as she felt herself trying to figure out a way to make the hat give her what she wanted. She would simply have to find away to convince the hat that she belonged in one of the two houses. I'm smart and I'm ambitious and I really don't want to end up in Hufflepuff" Morgause thought knowing that it may have sounded mean though she had heard from several other kids that she sat with on the train that the Hufflepuff's were the leftovers of the school. "I know it's sounds shallow but come on, I'm allowed to be shallow every once and a while right?" Morgause thought trying desperately to talk with the Hat. "Put me in any house just don't put me with the unimportant people!" Morgause thought desperately hoping against all hope that the sorting hat would place her in one of the more well known houses that would help her on her path towards stardom!

"Most certainly a RAVENCLAW!"

Leaving his parents for the first time in his life, Kestrel really had no idea what to do and
how to proceed to doing anything. Though he knew that he was going to be going to
hogwarts new after being accepted, but there was one thing that really concerned Kestrel.
His mother and father had told him to be there with a good attitude, good behavior and
all of the regular family guidance stuff, but Kestrel had his own plans in his mind. He was
not going to let anyone stop him from being who he really was. Being a spoiled child, and
thinking he is above all, and a rude like attitude, he knew exactly how he was going to be
and no one was going to stop him. Making his way to the great hall with other students
as they walked, suddenly a student bumped into Kestrel. With his eyebrow raised, and
giving a glare-like look to the other student, Kestrel said, "Watch where you're going,
understand? Don't make me tell you again."
He was firm with his words. Being at the
top of the chain and being a strong individual from the start was something Kestrel had in
mind and that's the way he was going to run things. Not long after, the sorting had called
out, 'Kerzakov, Kestrel'. Getting up, and with his fists tightened, making his way to
the sorting hat, and then slowly speaking his words to himself, "This should be really
interesting."
Said Kestrel as he closed his eyes, focusing his attention only on the hat.

"I think you can do quite well in GRYFFINDOR!"

As Daisy Evans walked to the great hall with the unsorted students, she felt nervous. When she saw the Professors she felt more nervous. At the end of the hall she waited for her name to be called and be sorted. Finally, her name was called "Evans,Daisy" then she sat down to a chair at the professor put the Sorting Hat on her head.

"SLYTHERIN!"

"Wiley, Eliza?'

"As you wish. SLYTHERIN!"
