So Tired Of Thinking

((Ooo you got there before me Michael :p))

Amy wasn't quite sure what to say
"Were you and Connor close then?" she asked Ana tentativley, after Michael had asked Ana his question.
"Sorry i don't mean to fire loads of questions at you" she said smiling.

Ana-Cole did not really know how to answer Michael's question. "I well" She said not really knowing the answer. "I guess I just wasn't a good enough daughter to have my parents stay together, or a good enough sister to have my siblings communicate. Basically I just wasn't good enough" Ana-Cole explained filling worse about herself as those words came out. "Oh connor and me" Ana-Cole said "Umm not really at least not since I started Hogwarts but still he was family it still kind of...." Ana-Cole started and realized that this conversation must be odd for the two. "We can talk about something else if you two want. I mean it doesn't all have to be about me we can talk about something happy" She said trying to get the mood up not knowing if either Amy or Michael wanted to talk about this anymore.

"I'm sure that it has nothing to do with whether you were a good enough daughter, and in any case I'm sure you were great!" she said smiling kindly.
"If you need to carry on talking about it then we can" she said smiling at Ana.

"Nah a freind in need is a friend indeed, well you seem a good enough person to me!" He said wondering how can a good person not be a good sister or daughter.

"Must have been your brother because you'r here it couldn't have been you" He blurted out not thinking of hurting her feeings towards her brothers.

"Thanks Amy" Ana-Cole said with a smile "Oh and thanks Michael" she said laughing a bit for real for the first time since she had gotten the letter. "I think I feel better now" Ana-Cole said with a smile. She did feel slightly better, but she still believed that it was all her fault but that was years of drilling in her head that it was her fault over and over. "So....." Ana-Cole said not knowing what exactly to say next.

"Well im glad your feeling better!" Amy said cheerfully
"Do you wander the corridors much then?" she asked grinning slightly.

Michael felt a satisfaction warm him up in the slightly chilly corridor
"Really sorry guys i best get back to my common room i'm really glad you feel a bit better Ana, see you girls around yeah!" He said as he felt like every second he was meeting new friend or getting closer to the ones he already had.

"To get away from doing school work I would wonder the corrdors everyday" Ana-Cole said with a grin. "So yes I guess I do" Ana-Cole then heard that Michael had to go. "Ok see you around Michael and thanks" She said with a smile.

"Bye Michael" Amy said waving as he disappeared.
"A regular corridor wanderer then! I'm the same actually, its nice to just go for a walk sometimes" Amy said smiling, hoping she didn't sound too strange.

"Well as long as I am not the only one that does it I don't find it that odd anymore" Ana-Cole said with a small laugh "But sometimes you just need to get out of the common room and I guess days like this it is nice just to walk inside" Ana-Cole said "So instead of walking what about flying. Do love flying yet or what?" Ana-Cole said with a smile. Most first years loved flying Ana-Cole wondered if Amy was one of them

Amy laughed as she was glad she wasn't the only person who wandered around often.
"I haven't quite made my mind up about flying yet to be honest" she said a little shyly,"I'm not quite sure why yet, I guess a few more lessons couldn't hurt though!" she said added smiling.

"Don't worry" Ana-Cole said remembering her first couple lessons of flying "I fell on my face the first time I tried and the second and I think the third time also" She said "Good times good times" She said with a small laugh.

Amy laughed as Ana re-encountered her first few flying lessons. "I just hope I get better really, I manage to get off the ground but its not very far at all!" she admitted smiling. "How long did it take for you to really get the hang of it?" she asked.

"Well" Ana-Cole began "It probably took until the second to last flying class until I was decent. I wish I was better but I have advanced a bit not enough to play quidittch as I hoped though" Ana-Cole said. "But I bet you will be great you will get the hang of it" She said with a smile.

"I'm sure you fly really well" Amy said smiling, "I just hope I improve really!" she said with a shrug.
"So hows the whole school thing going?" she asked generally.

"you will" Ana-Cole said being very positive all of a sudden. "But school well its school" Ana-Cole said with a laugh. "I should probably catch up on so of the work that I am putting off until last minute" Ana-Cole said with a smile really not wanting to make up the work at all. "Other than that I am quite happy with my classes and Professors this year. How about you?" Ana-Cole asked wondering how Amy was making out with the whole school topic.

"Im glad to hear classes are going well" Amy said smiling. "I'm really enjoying classes! Theres just so much to learn" she said excitedly, knowing that there was almost a thirst for knowledge in her voice. She couldn't really help it, the prospect that there was so much to learn was something that appealed to her greatly.

"yeah it is a lot of information to take it" Ana-Cole said with a smile "I swear we will all be uber intelligent after the seven years here" Ana-Cole said with a small laugh. "What classes are you taking to?" Ana-cole asked wondering Amy's favorite class or classes

Amy laughed, "Yeah hopefully" she added. "Well.." she said pausing for thought for a moment. "I'm really enjoying Potions and Defence Against the Dark Arts" she said happily, a smile on her face. "What about you?" she asked smiling. She enjoyed talking to Ana-Cole and was glad that she had decided to join her in the corridor.

"I actually love Herbology as dorky as that sounds" Ana-Cole said with a smile "But charms comes in a close second." She said thinking about it. "I used to love transfiguration. I love the whole concept but lately we have been doing animate into inanimate and I just can't take that. I don't think its right" Ana-Cole said thinking about the past two transiguration classes where the Professor wanted them to transfigure a beetle into a button which Ana-Cole had done sadly to the beetle that she named Bruce and trasfigure a chipmunk into a statue which Ana-Cole politely refused to do. She named that chipmunk chester. Ana-Cole was too much in love with animal and animal rights.

"I'm not a massive fan of Herbology at the moment actually and I don't do Charms or transfiguration yet but I'm looking forward to them!" Amy said. "What do you do ini your first year in them?" she asked curiously.

Ana-Cole tried to remember. It seemed so long a go when in reality it was only a year. "I can't quite remember to tell you the truth" Ana-Cole said quietly. She hated that she couldn't remember the simplest things such as this. "I have an awful memory. I'm surprised I remember my own name" Ana-Cole said with a small laugh. The sad part is that it was suprising that she remembered anything with her memory. "They were fun though. I remember in charms you did windgardium levosa charm and a few others. First year was the best because everything seemed so new and well magical" Ana-Cole said

"Yeah I guess your right, everything does seem new and exciting" she said with a smile. "Its okay if you don't remember! I'll be finding out for myself soon enough!" she added, laughing slightly.

"that way it will be more of a surprise" Ana-Cole said with another one of her smiles. "My memory just isn't too grand. I don't know how I'm going to survive finals" Ana-Cole said not trying to think about finals the year had basically just started she had time. "So have you done anything awfully exciting" Ana-Cole asked. Ana-Cole seemed never to do anything too exciting and that saddened her but she did like to hear about everyone else's advantages if indeed they had any.

"I'm sure you'll do really well in finals!" Amy said smiling. "Hmm, anything exciting?" she paused thinking for a moment. "No not really" she said shrugging. She had had a busy start of school with work and meeting new friends but she hadn't really done anything out of the ordinary. "What about you? You must have some good stories??" Amy asked Ana-Cole.
