Open after Daphne replies on Matt

Mania had overheard Eris ask Gaia whether or not she knew if the Headmaster was of any relation to the new flying instructor. Nia had had a different one so she hadn't realized that the new one had the same last name as the headmaster himself. The Gryffindor had decided to figure the mystery out the easy way. Go straight to the man himself and that was why when she spotted him in the Entrance Hall she marched her whole 4 foot 9 inches right to the man. "Hello sir! I have a question for you." There was no reason to beat around the bushes so as Nia stopped in front of the man she just gave the man her best smile to accompany the ambush.

Matt always loved the start of the school year. There was something refreshing about seeing the students in their new uniforms, reuniting with classmates and returning to their classes. Matt missed teaching the most during this time of the year. It was easy to forget the grading, the exams, and all the paperwork that came with it. He loved his role as headmaster, but he did miss being closer to the students. He was on his way to the Great Hall for lunch, when a small girl marched up to him like she was the one in charge of the school. He stopped walking and looked down at her with a smile. It wasn't often that students approached him this directly. "Well, Miss Athanasiou, I hope to have an answer for you." He said in a friendly tone.

Mania was delighted that the man was so open for her questions so her grin widened just a fraction. "Oh please you can just call me Mania! Or Nia, miss Athanasiou sounds so formal and like something my older sister would want to be called." She told the man, a slight shiver running through her body at the idea of being referred to similarly to Hera. "Oh right! The question so I couldn't help but notice the new flying instructor had the same last name as you, well one of them anyways." She started, almost getting distracted by the double barrel name part of it all. "So are you guys related?" Mania was so curious honestly, she had to know or she'd probably explode.

Matt nodded. "Thank you, Mania. If you're sure about that." He told her with a smile. There were now three girls he could call Miss Athanasiou, so he supposed it would make things less confusing. He smiled at the girl's question. It wasn't a strange one, and it was honestly a question he had expected to hear before this moment. He knew some of the students speculated about it, but no one had asked this directly before. "You noticed right." He told her with a smile. "We are related. Professor Alcott is my nephew." He told her plainly. There was no reason to be mysterious about it.

Nia beamed up at the Headmaster and nodded her head furiously. "Yes, I am sure besides we are practically just BFF's already, no?" In all honesty it was probably hard not to find someone the third year did not consider a friend. In her world everyone was her friend and there was nothing they could do about it, except probably fight her on that but like surely the Headmaster wasn't about to do that. Mania abandoned that train of thought as the Headmaster confirmed he was indeed related to the flying instructor. "Ooh! That's super cool! Is it odd having family members practically working for you?" The Gryffindor continued her questioning, since the man had been so open to answer her first one she didn't see a reason not to ask another one. "It must be fun though! Getting to see him around the school?" She was now more or less just thinking out loud.
