Sneaking away

"Of course I want the job so I can see you. Well that and I love Astronomy." Eden accepted the kiss and left herself blush. Looking deep into Spikes eyes Eden had to close her eyes so that she did not do anything that would ruin there friendship. She wanted to but what would happen to them if they did?
 
Spike felt bad about the way she was feeling he could see it in her face something was wrong, and he knew he was to blame for it. " I'm sorry Eden, would you like me to leave? It might make things easier." Spike said as he placed her down on the ground and took his hands off her and stepped back a few times.
 
Eden felt alone all of the sudden when Spike put her down. "No Spike don't leave please. You have nothing to be sorry for. Please don't leave me." Eden stood still not wanting to move to scared to move. Afraid that if she did Spike would turn and run and she would be alone once again.
 
Spike looked down at the ground he could feel a tear coming on but he tried to fight in, he slowly walked over to the water for a drink and he dipped his face in the water fully and cooled down his head so she wouldn't notice the tear that did fall. " I just didn't really know what think just then, im sorry." He said turning back round to face her.
 
Eden stood there watching Spike, forcing herself to stay still as he placed his whole face in the water."You have nothing to be sorry about so please stop saying you are sorry." Eden wanted to walk over to Spike and pull him close but she made herself stand still.
 
Spike trudged over towards Eden and laid himself down by bending his knees, he knew it was going to be hard to get up but he would always be able to. He was pretty much laid out infront of Eden and was still her height. His head would never be able to lay down, seeing as he wouldn't be able to get back up. " The feelings for you, they drive me crazy and I don't know what to do, and I don't want anything to ruin our friendship though."
 
Eden watched as Spike came close and laid down in front of her. The way he did it looked like it would give him some trouble getting up. "I have feelings for you as well they keep me up in the middle of the night and make me wonder what it? I know that if anything happened to our friendship and I could not see you it would utterly destroy me." Eden reached her hand out and pushed his hair back from his face.
 
He could feel the warmth of her skin touching his face and it made him smile, he knew that it was going to be hard to stop what he felt, but it was hard how could someone stop there feelings, even a lone Centaur couldn't control the way he felt around a human girl. "Same here, but being apart is killing me as well."
 
Eden smiled a sad smile. "I feel the same but sometimes we have to do things that we don't want to do." Eden wrapped her arms around Spikes neck. He was so warm and for some reason Eden was starting to get cold.
 
Spike could feel a coldness in her arms as she wrapped them around her neck. " You feel freezing." Spike said as he picked her up and held her tight to his body, he hated the cold and he knew she probably would to. Kissing her on the cheek as he picked her up, he could feel her cheek was cold as well and rested his cheek upon hers.
 
Eden could feel herself start to shiver. Which was strange because it was a nice day and the cave they where in was nice and warm. Cuddling close to Spike, Eden hid her face in his neck. Breathing in the smell of him and finding comfort in it. "I will warm up soon enough maybe it's just the thought of not being able to be around you that makes me so cold."
 
Spike felt a slight shiver as she spoke the words, it was true when she was not around he felt misserable and cold, like nothing would be able to warm him up. It was strange. " I know what your feeling it feels like that everytime you leave this forest, I feel like my sould has left with you."
 
Edens body shivered at the words. It was how she felt. How was she going to be able to be with Chase when she really cared for Spike? "Whenever I leave the forest I have to remind myself not to cry. I know I will come back and see you again but the thought of having to leave you for even a moment scares me senseless." Eden could admit to Spike that she sometimes felt weak and unsure of herself but everyone else never saw that.
 
Spike could feel a sensation in his stomach, it felt like butterflies flying around, it made him feel alive. It was probably one of the best feeling he had ever felt. " I don't know what to say." Spike said as a tear rolled down his eye, it was almost exactly the same as he felt if not more. " I love you." he blurted out.
 
Eden felt a chill go up her spine it was like something was going to happen. What it was Eden was unsure but whatever it was it was going to be something big. Eden felt her eyebrow go up when Spike said he did not know what to say. Before Eden could say something anything to make Spike more at ease. A tear rolled down his eye reaching out Eden caught it and held it on the tip of her finger until it burst on its own. Eden felt her heart stop when Spike blurted out he loved her. "I love you to." Eden said almost as fast and just as loud. Without really thinking about, what could happen if she did it. Eden leaned in closer and kissed Spike on the lips.
 
Spike knew it was way wrong but he kissed her back, and didn't really want to stop, but he just slowly slowly pulled away leaving his forehead resting against hers. HIs yellow eyes looking into hers.
 
Eden looked deep into Spike's eyes. She knew she should not have done that but there was nothing she could do. It could not be undone and given the choice Eden would not go back and change anything. Smiling softly at Spike, Eden let her mind wonder.
 
Spike felt bad, what about Eden's boy friend, they would surely break up over this one kiss. Would he wants Revenge? Would he hurt her? All these things began to run through his head, and it made his head spin,but looking back into her eyes it all seemed ok, and began to come back down to earth. " I really mean this, I will never be able to stay away from you,"
 
Eden knew that what she had just done was wrong so wrong, but she did not care. Chase would never find out if she did not tell him which she would not because she did not want to lose him again. But Luxen was going to be another story all together. He could enter her mind and when he did there would be hell to pay. Eden was willing to cross that bridge when she came to it thou. "I feel the same I guess that means I am going to have to kiss being a prefect good-bye because there is nothing that is going to keep me away from seeing you." Nothing mattered to Eden anymore than seeing Spike as often as she could.
 
Spike felt flattered and outraged at the same time as she said this, he knew she wanted to be a prefect so bad, but he couldn't bare to not be able to see instead he just smiled softly and held her close to himself, he knew things would be different between them, and was hoping that it would always be how it was in this exact moment with them. Otherwise he would surely never be able to come so close to the castle grounds again, he would never leave the darkness of the tree's where the sun never shone.
 
Eden cuddled in closer to Spike she was willing to do anything for him even give up her chances at being a prefect. It was all worth it to her and she hopped that Spike understand. "What are people in your tribe going to say if they find out? I don't want you to get into trouble if you did I don't think I could live with myself." Eden ran her fingers down the back of Spikes neck enjoying the way his hair felt against her finger tips.
 
Spike smiled he knew no one in his tribe could stop him from doing what he wanted to do and being with who he wanted to be with. " They will think it is a little weird, but they will not be able to do a thing, they will try and stop me, but they will not be able to." Spike said as he picked her back up off the ground and smiled as his forehead rested against hers.
 
That is good that they wont stop you because that would hurt my feelings. If I could not see you anytime I wanted." Eden looked into Spikes eyes as he rested his forehead against hers. Remembering how soft Spike's lips had felt Eden leaned in and kissed him again. She was already going to get into trouble if anyone ever found out about her and Spike the least she could do was make it worth it.
 
The feel of her lips made spike instantly get butterflies in his stomach and he felt like crying, which was a human emotion which had been passed on to Centaurs as well. Looking at her as their lips parted he smiled softly and gave her another peck on the lips as he still held her up off the ground.
