Sneaking away

[Eden Silverback]

Eden walked out of the castle. All of her classwork was finally done and there was nothing that she needed to do. Reaching behind her and gently rubbing her scar that was on her shoulder blade. Chase did not know about what she had done to save them and he never would. Walking into the forest. Eden let her hair down. Eden walked to her favorite spot in the forest. It was a pretty little clearing with a nice flat rock for her to sit on while she looked up at the sky from in between the tree's.

 

[Spike]

Spike was walking through the Forest with his bow slung over his shoulder he had been promoted to hunter, which was a high honor amongst the Centaurs and he was looking for some food. All his senses had become so much stronger and he could pick the smell off anything he was hunting or looking for. Looking around and sniffing strongly he could smell something that smelt all to familiar it smelt as though it was his best friend, well pretty much his only friend. As he walked out into the clearing where he had met her, he saw Eden sitting on a rock, the same rock she had been sitting on when he had met her. As quietly as he could he snuck up behind her and wrapped hi arms around her giving her a kiss on the cheek. He had missed all the times him and Eden had talked and walked through the forest and had spoken. " It's nice to see you finally come back."

Eden looked around hopping to see her friend. Looking around for a moment Eden shook her head. The sun was high in the sky and there was a gentle breeze in the air. Closing her eyes Eden thought about the last time she had seen her friend Spike it had been last year and she had been taken away from him by Kida and since than she had not been able to get back to the forest and see him. But now she was here and he was not. Just as she was getting ready to leave she felt someone come up behind her. Feeling a kiss on the cheek Eden turned around to see her closet friend. "Spike I have missed you so much. Where have you been?" Hugging Spike as tight as she could Eden felt a huge smile come over her face.

 

[Spike]

Spike smiled as she turned around and gave him a massive hug which almost sucked all the breath out of him. " I have been waiting for someone to come talk to me, I was disappointed that you never came back to see me last year, but I'm glad you where able to see me at all." Spike said still holding Eden off the ground. " What about you where have you been?" Spike didn't want to say that he came to this exact spot every day to see if his best friend was here.

Eden could hardly breath from being so happy. "I am so sorry. I wanted to come back because I missed you so much but Kida would not let me." Feeling like such a bad friend. Eden continued to hold her friend. "I have been spending a lot of time working on my lessons and working at my job. Not to mention I have some news that have made me a very happy person." Eden hopped that Spike would not be sadden by the fact that she was going to be getting married but she had fallen in love but she would always be Spikes friend.

 

[Spike]

" It's ok, people don't usually think about us Centaurs, but im glad you could make it out ." Spike said looking into he eyes of his friend, she seems different,, like something had happened to her, she didn't seem as though she was the same Eden he had met last year. " You have a job, that's cool. What is that?" Spike asked, glad for the fact she was happy.

 

[Eden Silverback]

"I don't understand how people could not think about you guys. You are wonderful and when you and I are hanging out I feel so happy." Looking at Spike, Eden wondered what they would be doing today. "Yes I am happy to have a job and my news is. I um found someone. Like a boyfriend, but I want you to know that no matter what I will still be your friend. Even when I leave the school I will still come back and visit if they let me." Eden hopped that Spike would not leave her because she was now with someone else.

 

[Spike]

Spike smiled when he found out she had found someone, it was hard for him knowing he would never be able to find someone seeing as he was a Centaur and all the female Centaurs didn't appeal to him, they where snobs. " Well my job improved." Spike said with a smile on his face as he placed Eden back down onto the rock she was sitting on.

 

[Eden Silverback]

Eden took her seat once again. Sad that she could not stay in Spikes arms the whole time they where together but knowing that it was wrong for her to think like that. "Really what is your job now? If you don't mind me asking." Eden wanted to hear everything that Spike had been up to while she was away and this time she had brought food and water just to be on the safe side.

 

[Spike]

Spike smiled seeing as she was interested in what he had to do and what he does. " Im a hunter now, ive been ranked as one of the strongest in the village." Spike said with a smile on his face, he picked her back up off the ground again just to give her another hug, seeing as it had been so long since he had seen her and he wanted to make the most of being with his best friend.

 

[Eden Silverback]

Eden grinned. "Really you a hunter? Wow that sounds awesome. You better stay safe." Eden knew she was talking nonsense. Nothing would hurt one of his people. It was like asking to die if it was done. Getting picked up once again Eden hugged Spike back. It felt good being around him. They could spend hours on end doing nothing and Eden would be happy just because he liked her even when she was acting silly.

 

[Spike]

" Yeah, there was a group of hunters that came and tried to tear down our village and me and rain scared them away so we where promoted to the highest honor of our kind, she was already a hunter, so she was made the chiefs second wife." Spike said smiling, he thought it was funny seeing as she was a idiot and really big headed and the chief was stuck with her now. Still holding Eden up he cuddled her even tighter, but not to tight to hurt her.

Eden could not help but giggle. She had heard about Rain and she really hopped she never ever ran into her. " I feel very sorry for your chief. I hope he can handle her and just between us I think you got the better promotion." Eden weaved her fingers into Spikes hair and rubbed the top of his head. She liked the way he hair felt it was heavy and warm. A lot warmer than Eden's but than again it might have something to do with all the running around he did. Settling into Spikes arms Eden sighed a happy sigh it was good to be back at the castle if it meant she could see her Spike more often.

 

[Spike]

" That's what the rest of the Centaurs said." Spike said with a giggle, he thought it was funny how easy it was to be around Eden, even though she was a human and she was so young, she could be immature at times, but that was the thing that he loved about her, plus she didn't care about the rumors about centaurs not all of them where bad people hating monsters. " So tell me about your special someone."

 

[Eden Silverback]

"Great minds think a like." Eden said simply. Eden wondered how she should even start talking about Chase he was a great guy and Eden loved him with everything she had. "Well he used to go to Hogwarts but he has since left because he was a seventh year. He is very sweet and kind and he treats me better than Tohoru ever did or ever could, and I love him." Eden knew that sounded silly but it was the truth she was willing to do anything for him all he had to do was ask.

 

[Spike]

Spike could sense there was something not right about this picture, seeing as he had left school, but love is not about an age its about two people who love each other and as long as they love each other it would be alright. " Well you do seem as though you have grown up a bit in the past months, you look older and you act a lot older to."

 

[Eden Silverback]

Eden smiled. "I have been trying to grow up more to prove to everyone at the school that I can be taken seriously. I hope to be chosen to be a prefect next year and so I have to be a model student. I know sneaking into the forest is not the best way to do it, but I could mot stay away any longer Spike I missed you so much." Eden rested her head against Spikes shoulder. It had been such a long time since she had seen her friend that she had started to fill empty with out him.

 

[Spike]

spike had been beginning to feel the same way about Eden he was prepared to leave the forest to go see her which would have made things really bad for him, he would have never been allowed back into the forest not even once and he would have been kicked out of the grounds, but it would have been worth it to be able to see her face one more time. The way he was thinking made him think that maybe he thought of eden as more of a friend maybe even somoene he could have a relationship with but that was impossible for him, they where to close and he couldn't do that to her new boy friend even though he had never met him and probably never would. " So how long are you going to be allowed out her for?" He asked as he rested her feet on the rock but still held her close to him.

 

[Eden Silverback]

Eden liked the way she fit into Spikes arms almost as if they where a perfect match. "Now stop thinking like that. Hes just your friend and you have Chase." Eden's brain was working over time once again which was not good when she had come out here to relax. Resting her feet on the rock Eden leaned more into Spike. "Well since no one knows I have left and when they figure out I'm not in the Slytherin common room they will think I'm hiding out somewhere studying I would say I have as long as I want as long as I can out run a Professor of they come out here looking for students." Eden knew that she should not be breaking rules if she had any hopes of making prefect but Spike was different. For him Eden could break a couple silly rules.

 

[Spike]

Spike smiled he knew that if a professor was walking out here he could throw her onto his back and run off into the depths of the forest so they could never find her. It would be easy, and thats what he would do, but he wouldn't tell her what the plan was, because he knew a professor would never attack a Centaur unless they wanted all out war on them. " Well, it would be good to be able to spend the day with you seeing as I haven't seen you in so long, and just being able to hug you is really good." Spike said with a smile, it sounded funny coming out of his mouth.

 

[Eden Silverback]

Eden thought about what a Professor would say if she was seen with a Centaur. Most likely they would be shocked to see a student and a Centaur cuddled u together. Reaching into her bag Eden pulled out her bag of jelly slugs. "This day is going to be great we can sit here or go exploring or maybe go back to our spot, or we could stay here just like this." Eden opened her bag of candy and put a few in her mouth. "Do you want to try a jelly slug? They are really good." Eden was unsure if Spike ate candy but if he did not he was going to try some today.

 

[Spike]

Spike had seen what Candy had done to the village pest and shook his head, he felt bad for saying no, seeing as it was Eden he was talking to, but he didn't want to end up having a psychotic episode and scaring everyone in the village. " I would rather not, I need to look after my self." He said with a smile as he swung Eden around onto his back and began to walk towards the cave. " I have taken you to this place once, you will love it."

 

[Eden Silverback]

Eden grinned."Ok fine more for me, but you can't say I did not offer." Feeling herself being moved up onto Spike's back Eden sat up straight. One thing Eden had learned from riding Spike before the ride was a lot smoother if Eden sat up. "We are going back to the cave? Thank you it is so pretty there." The last time she had been to the cave Eden had fallen asleep there in Spikes arms. That memory still made Eden blush.

 

[Spike]

Spike jumped the creek as though it was just him taking another step he didn't even tell Eden to hold on he knew she wouldn''t feel it, he knew she would think he just took another step if her eyes where closed. He ducked his head down as they stepped into the cave which was glowing a fluorescent blue color. Turning his head he smiled at her. " I remember the first time I brought you here, how you fell asleep in my arms, and I carried you back, making sure i didn't wake you up. That's one thing I will never forget, I will always cherish that moment."

Eden had her eyes closed it was more peaceful this way it seemed. Opening her eyes as Spike spoke Eden looked at the cave. It was better than she remembered. "I remember that as well. It was a wonderful day. I missed this place almost as much as I missed you." Eden slowly climbed off of Spikes back to walk around the cave for a little bit. Taking a seat by the pond Eden looked into the water.
