Gregory had never attended a valentines day celebration. He'd gone to a halloween thing before hogwarts, he had gone to a christmas thing, but never a valentines day thing. He hadn't been sure if he should attend, after all, he did not have a date and his return to school hadn't exactly been good. But he had put on the same outfit as for the Yuleball though this time with his glasses and he had come to the great hall. It was different from the others, a little interesting but nice. He went to the snack table and began looking at what was on offer, a good amount similar to the other celebrations but this time decorated for this event. It was pretty fun. He grabbed a plate and began piling things on to it.

Leah was a bit skeptical when it came to Valentine's day. She loved the idea of a day where you could celebrate love and use it as an excuse to show it to the people you cared about. Her father had always gone out of his way to give her a rose which she had missed being away at school. But the overwhelming pinks and reds of the great hall made it all feel a bit fake if she was being honest. After all he had gotten her mother flowers too and she knew how well that had turned out. But it was still an excuse to have a party and she wasn't about to pass on the snacks. Luckily she wasn't disappointed and spotted a familiar face. "Hello Gregory!" she said brightly. "Oh can you pass me one of those biscuits?" she asked and pointed to the ones that were shaped like hearts and frosted in icing sugar.

Conan had never really attended a Valentine's dance before. He had always heard his sister be excited for them. Though he guessed it would be nice to meet and interact with people. He had noticed that a lot of people decided to go and he didn't want to be the only one who didn't attend. Conan didn't put too much into his outfit. As he entered the great hall, he wasn't sure if he liked the colour of the whole place. He knew Molly would like it though. He looked around the great hall to see any sort of familiar faces. Conan smiled when he noticed his friends by the snack table. "Hey, guys!" Conan said cheerfully as he waved a little. "Any snacks here you recommend?" Conan asked them, as he gestured to the snack table.

Gregory was a little startled by the sudden voice beside him, he dropped the last biscuit he'd grabbed but was quick to grab it. "Hey Leah," he grabbed one of the biscuits she had asked for and passed it to her. He hadn't taken any of those biscuits but they looked like they could be really nice. He glanced towards Conan as he too came to the snack table, a solid, and fun place to be. "I think these biscuits could be really tasty," he motioned to the plate of biscuit the one which he had just given to Leah.

Leah grinned as Gregory passed her one of the biscuits and her mood only improved as Conan joined them. Maybe a fake holiday about love could still be fun after all. She glanced back at the table and shrugged. "Not sure. I haven't had a chance to sample any of them yet." she said thoughtfully, taking the task of recommendation very seriously. "I think those chocolates were at the Halloween dance too and they were pretty good." she suggest. But glanced at her plate after Gregory's suggestion. "Hmm, well let's all try one." she said and gestured for the boys to grab one too before popping hers into her mouth.

Conan listened as his friends spoke and looked at the other options that were there. It seemed to look like there were endless amounts of food on the snack table and he couldn't decide on what he wanted to nibble on. He nodded in agreement with Leah when she spoke about the Halloween snacks. He thought those tasted good. There were endless options to choose from. "Sounds good!" Conan says cheerfully as Leah had announced that they should try the biscuit. Conan took a biscuit from the platter and began to take a bite into it.

Gregory took a biscuit for himself after Leah had taken hers. There were so many snacks for them to try. He nodded in agreement, thinking that any of the chocolate ones were quite nice. He took the biscuit and then took a bite into it. It crumbled in his mouth as he took that first bite but gave a noise of pleasure. It was nice. ”This is good,” he spoke the moment he'd swallowed all that was in his mouth with a few bits and pieces crumbling down his face before taking another bite.

Leah smiled as she chewed, pleased that everyone had followed her lead. Which was a good call because the biscuit was delicious. "Well I think that might be the best one so far." she said confidently. "What do you think it's called?" she wondered out loud before looking at the rest of the snacks. "Do you think we should try something else before we agree on a favorite?"
