Slytherin Quidditch Practice

Determined as ever to catch the snitch, Leda concentrated all her efforts on locating it again. It could only be so far, and it had to be on the pitch somewhere, and she tried to look for any slight twinkle in the air.

Sapph was never one to give up easily. She caught up with another bludger, successfully knocking it to the older boy Liam. She grinned, glad to see the death ball go where she hit it for once. "Heads up!" She called before taking off again.

Liam was searching again, but than got hit by another bludger. When he looked from who it came it was that alternate girl. He started to get really annoying, and even a girl couldn't make him happy. Mostly he would make an comment to the girl, like good job or anything. But now he was just annoyed. He was now hit twice and it really hurted. This wasn't helpfull for him.

Leda wondered if Mervyn would have made a better seeker than her. Olive obviously had been although she wanted to be like her one day. The red head continued to fly on, searching for the tiny ball in the sky.

Sapphire's new strategy seemed rather hit and miss. While she had hit the last bludger, she swung too wide and nearly toppled off her broom. She straightened, having to wait a moment for her heart to settle before taking off again.

Liam was getting crazy of the fact he didn't hit anybody. He didn't want to make a fool out of himself so continued his search for bludgers.

Jasmine flew close to Rory and waited for him to score. Unfortunately he didn’t so she flew underneath the hoops and grabbed the quaffle and tucked it under her arm as she flew towards the hoops and threw it through the middle one and luckily it sailed straight through the hoop resulting in a score.

Sara let the other chasers have a turn, figuring she could try again once both of them had, Rory hadn’t managed to score whilst Jasmine had. Sara smiled a little awkwardly in a somewhat encouraging way though she wasn’t entirely sure it came across as that. When it was her turn Sara grabbed the quaffle and tucked it tightly under her arm, before flying to the other end of the pitch and throwing it as hard as she could, unfortunately the keeper saved it. She shrugged and went to do a lap around the pitch, while she waited for another chance to try again.

Sapphire was getting a little tired. She swung at the bludger near her, missing miserably. She decided it might be time for a little break. She pulled her broom up, coming to a stop above the others so she could still watch practice.
After a bit, Sapphire decided it was time to get back in the game. She spotted a bludger and dove for it. She didn't pull up in time, however, and flew right by it. She snorted and flew off after it again.

Liam was really curious if he would ever hit something or someone this practice. This was stupid and he was done with this. He tried to focus again, but it was hard.

While Sara attempted to score Jasmine hung back a little to see if her teammate would be successful. Unfortunately she too had missed so Jasmine flew around the hoops and collected the ball before speeding to the other end of the pitch and doing her best to throw it through the left hoop. She cheered when the ball passed through the hoop and smiled at her team mates.

Sara watched as Jasmine managed to score and she nodded, a little impressively at her efforts. She was a good chaser and it was good for the team. She decided to have another turn, so she flew to where the quaffle was and once she had grabbed it she flew to the hoops and threw it with as much strength was she could. She smiled when it sailed right through. She sent a thumbs up to her fellow chaser.

Sapphire caught up to the bludger, but as she swung she heard cheering. She paused, not noticing the bludger flying away. She turned to see the chasers Jasmine and Sara, and couldn't help but smile at them both. They were both doing pretty good. She turned and resumed her pursuit of the bludger.

Determined to catch the snitch again before the end of practice, Leda made her way round the pitch peering in every section she could think of, trying to locate the tiny ball. She noticed that the chasers were continuing to score, but it was her catching the snitch that would end a real game for them and so there was no time to be getting distracted.

Sapphire was starting to think she'd used up all her luck for the day. She just couldn't seem to get her timing right. With a frustrated sigh, she took off after the Bludger again. She would get better at this if it killed her.

Liam growled as he hit a bludger with his bat, but flew to nothing or nobody. He almost started to doubt himself, and that said a lot about him. It almost seemed like Odette had charmed the bludgers to let Liam fail.

Odette grinned at the two chasers that had managed to score, giving them both an encouraging nod. "Try to practice passing back and forth before scoring next time!" She called over to them, eager to help them in their training. Then she spotted a bludger nearby, and she didn't hesitate. As she hit it, she aimed for Rory Fergusson. Perhaps it would be a wake-up call because as of now, the new chasers were definitely doing better than him. But the bludger curved around the chaser and flew at Sapphire instead. Odette grimaced, though she wondered if perhaps the girl could it it away from herself.

Sapphire wasn't looking, busy chasing the other bludger. She heard the familiar whoosh a touch too late, and as she turned to hit the oncoming bludger away it slammed into her ribs, knocking her back a bit. The air rushed out of her lungs with an "oof!" and she grabbed her side.

After a moment to catch her breath she straightened and took off again. She was more determined now to keep those death balls from Leda. Sapphire had been hit harder before but that didn't mean her side wasn't aching now.

Liam flew around the field and decided to fly in a different area to seek for bludgers. They weren't hard to find right? But it was hard for him. He actually started to believe they wanted him to fail. But he wouldn't give up, he would never.

Soon after Sara had managed to score she heard Odette give her and the other chasers advice and she sent a nod in understanding towards the captain, and chased after the ball once more, to switch up the practice strategy and take Odette's suggestion. She wasn’t sure where Rory was or why he didn’t seem to be as involved, but she shrugged and with the ball tucked tightly under her arm, she flew close to Jasmine and passed the quaffle to her when they made eye contact.

Out the corner of her eye, Leda noticed Sapphire getting hit with one of the bludgers and she could only hope that she was okay. She'd come to learn the hard way it wasn't pleasant, but she was glad the girl was keeping an eye out for her, as the third year pressed on in the hopes of finding the snitch again.

Sapphire caught up with the other bludger, but as she swung at it, pain shot through her side. She faltered just a bit, and just for a moment, but it was still enough to make her miss. She cursed silently.
Sapphire chased after the bludger she had missed. This was so much harder now that she'd been hit. She tried to power through her aching ribs, but the pain in her side was throwing her off. She swung, but missed yet again.

The practice was rough so far. Many bludgers had hit several players, which wasn't really a big surprise considering the amount of beaters they had. Odette hoped Leda would be able to find the snitch at some point, and she wondered if she should make the chasers practice a little more.

A lot of people were getting hit by bludgers and with the number of beaters it could have been worse, fortunately Liam was so poor he might as well not have been there. Antonio's main concern was that he didn't accidentally hit Jasmine.

Practice wasn't going great for Hayden so far as a few of the chasers had got the better of him but the longer practice went on the more likely that was to be the case.
