Sapphire was not ready for this to be her final quidditch practice. She had found comfort in this game, security that she had lacked in her life for a very long time. Somehow the thought of leaving the team in Blake's hands didn't sit well with her, she didn't know if he would care about the team the way he cared about himself. Still, after that last win where she had secured the advantage Blake had needed to pull ahead of Elliot, she was feeling a bit more confident that maybe- just maybe- the kid might see the importance of teamwork. She arrived to the pitch early, setting up practice and popping her gum while she waited for the rest of the team to arrive, nodding at each of them in turn and giving them all a smile.

Blake usually made a point of being early to the pitch for practices, but he was running late today. He didn't really want to think too hard about the decision he had made today, it was done now and he just had to live with it. At least he hadn't been stupid enough to sign the damn thing. It had made him... not late for practice certainly, but not as early as he wanted to be. He hurried down onto the pitch, relieved that only Sapphire had beaten him here. Far as the rest of the team would know, he had been here the whole time. He pulled a face at the disgusting sound of her gum, giving her an unpleasant look. "Do you have to do that when we're trying to practice? It's so gross. Makes us look unprofessional."

Derek was eager to get to practicing, it was important to him that they do well enough to win the last few games and the tournament. Even if he didn't intend to do quidditch with all of his life, getting on to a team was a pretty important thing for the moment, so doing well in the next few games would help that. He greeted the captains as he approached, he wasn't sure of the younger of the two, but it wouldn't matter for him soon. So he just greeted them both with a quick hi, his broom in hand and just ready to get started.

Daintree was keen to get back to quidditch. It had really proven to be the most interesting thing he could do at the school and now as a full member of the team, he had more real experience under his belt. He was paying attention and bearing in mind the words that Sapphire had said to him hoping to get better at playing. He was just ready to get started on this practice.

Luna made her way onto the pitch, paying no attention to anyone around her. She had soured on the whole experience of Quidditch over the first semester of the year, ever since a moron was put in charge of the team, especially as he'd be in sole charge once Sapphire graduated. Luna stood and waited for practice to start.

Paige stepped onto the Quidditch pitch and headed towards the others with excitement in her step. Even though she wasn't a fully-fledged member of the team, she still enjoyed her time playing Quidditch with the rest of them.

Mordred walked on to the pitch broom in hand. He glanced at his wristband before standing with his team waiting for something to start.

Sapphire smiled a little at Blake's reaction. Well, someone was cranky today. But she did take her gum out, wrapping it in the foil again and sticking it in her pocket. "Alright guys," She called, kicking open the box and releasing the bludgers, snitch, and throwing the quaffle to the nearest chaser. "You know the drill. We're strong together, let's build on that. Chasers, work together. Momo, make it challenging for them." She winked, before taking off into the air.

Blake scowled and looked away as Sapphire pulled the gum from her mouth. So gross. He relaxed slightly when she got the practice underway, getting ready to focus and block out the presence of his teammates around him. He was already beginning to try and tune them out when Sapphire said something that snapped him right back in. Momo?! He looked at her in silent disbelief, then glanced at Mordred. The guy was hardly his favourite roommate, but even so Blake wouldn't wish a nickname like Momo on him. He tried to shake the thoughts away and kicked off, looking around him as he began to search for the snitch.

Derek flew up into the air and grabbed the quaffle wasting no time in heading towards the hoops.

Daintree grabbed his beater bat and flew up into the air. Ready to hit bludgers and injure some of his teammates. He had to improve somehow.

Once he was in the air Blake settled, the wind through his hair blowing away his irritation as he began to hunt down the snitch.

As soon as Derek was close enough to the hoops he threw the ball, and couldn't help his joy as the ball soared through the hoop. That was good. He flew back out waiting for the ball to get thrown back into play by the keeper.

Daintree hit a bludger when it approached but it went too wide to do anything. He gave a frustrated sigh and then just moved on, hopeful at being able to try again.

Blake flew on, searching the skies for any sign of the snitch. He knew he needed to be top of his game for their match against Gryffindor.

Daintree still wasn't having much luck, but he knew lettering it get to him wouldn't help things so he resolved to just continuing to work hard to find and hopefully hit some in the right direction.

Mo smiled at Sapphire and flew into the sky. Derek managed to get a shot past him, but that was going to be the only one. Mordred threw the quaffle back into play.

Blake pressed close to his broom, pulling up higher to search a new area of the pitch for any glimmer of gold.

Sapphire flew idly around the pitch, smirking as Derek threw the quaffle through. "Good job," She murmured, throwing a wink to Mordred. Blake was content on searching for the snitch, so she took it on herself to watch the team. "Keep trying, Daintree," She encouraged, "Bludgers are tricky, but you've got the talent to outsmart them," She smiled, letting her eyes sweep over the pitch again.

It seemed that the quaffle just really liked him already today as when the ball was tossed back out, Derek didn't notice anyone else going for it, so he did. catching it with ease and intending to circle back for the ball.

Daintree nodded at the instruction, he didn't really want it, but her advice her been helpful before, he just needed to outsmart an enchanted object...he could do that.

Derek pushed quickly forward. and as soon as he was once again close enough he threw the ball and was pretty pleased when it once again sailed throw a hoop.

Daintree continued in his pursuit of a bludger to hit towards other players.

Blake found it hard not to get frustrated quickly when luck was against him. He was obviously the best seeker in the school, why was it so hard to find a little shiny ball flying around?!

Mordred was irritated after Derek scores again. He felt like he was failing. Mo threw the ball back into play.
