Professor Styx leaned against the desk as he made sure that the classroom was dark enough for his tastes. After all, he needed it in order to focus and not get a headache. He also preferred to have a gloomy atmosphere. It would be a contradiction to what he was teaching the sixth years today. He hated this lesson, but he was sure the professors before him loved it, including his wife. He would never understand why, but so it goes. He watched as the sixth years walked in the classroom, and once it was time for the lesson to begin, Styx waved his hand and the door closed with a click. "It seemed like some of you are naturals at Transfiguration, and others, not so much. However, most of you passed with clear water so we are going on to the next topic at hand."
Styx took out his wand to get ready to conjure a flower. He sighed, and used the spell to conjure a single flower, a snapdragon. "You may want to use this to impress others, including partners or family members. Or you are passionate about plants. Regardless, the type of flower you conjure is only limited to what you can picture. When you intone the spell, you will need to visualize in your mind's eye of the stem, the leaves, the petals. Every little detail counts for this spell to succeed. Once you have the image in your mind, intone the incantation Orchideous, and the flower should appear. If you manage to conjure a single flower, a bouquet should be your goal from there."
He made the snapdragon vanish, and waved his wand at the board to show images of lilies, orchids, roses, and tulips. The incantation 'Orchideous' also appeared on the stop, written in neat chalk. "You pronounce the incantation as 'Orchideous'. I will not force you to sound it out like first years. For the rest of the lesson, conjure one of the flowers on the board. Once you are done, I will inspect it, and if I find it suitable, you are free to leave. Now, begin."
Assignment: RP the lesson.
