Tori had the locket around her neck, she hadn't taken it off since Stefan had given it to her just before she'd left two months ago. She hadn't expected to see him at school, and had been ridiculously surprised he was at the school when he'd walked in. She had missed him, really she did, but it was so nice to be back here with all of the people she'd been missing the entire time she'd been gone. After all, it was one of those things where she hadn't felt like she knew what she had until she didn't have it anymore and now she could only hope she hadn't lost it. She knew she'd made a hard choice when she'd decided not to come back at the end of the semester last year, but she'd really, really wanted to see how things would go. She could only hope all of her friends would understand.

Most of all she hoped that nox wouldn't hate her. He'd understand right?

She found him at the Hufflepuff table and she grinned at him, tucking the locket into her robes as she approached. "Nox, hi! I'm back! I missed you!" She wanted to hug him.... but was she allowed to hug him? Were they still hugging friends? Jonah was sitting close by, and he was clearly, and not very subtley ignoring her given he'd stopped talking the moment he'd heard her voice. She sighed and rolled her eyes. He really needed to get over it, it was a year ago. She'd left Stefan at the Gryffindor table to let him know she wanted to have a quick conversation privately with a friend, hopefully Stefan would make some friends of his own.

Nox had been looking forward to welcoming Tori back to Hogwarts after Christmas, but she hadn’t turned up. It was now the start of a new school year, and Tori had waltzed in, Boyfriend in tow and expected to be welcomed back by all her friends as if nothing had happened. And for the most part, that was exactly what had happened. Nox had been about to approach the Gryffindor in the Great Hall when he first saw her, but when a boy he’d never seen before came into view and was all over her, suddenly he thought better of it and went back to his own table. He’d spent a lot of time without Tori; he could just keep doing that. He’d missed her more than he thought he would, and it had made him realise some things about his own feelings, feelings Primrose had sniffed out before him, which had brought an end to their budding relationship before it had really started.

To Nox’s surprise, Tori came to find him some time after he had settled at the Hufflepuff table. “Hi Tori,” He gave her a forced, awkward smile. He wasn’t sure if he should hug her or not; he was used to hugging her, but things felt different now. Would it still be expected of him? “Who’s the new guy?” He knew the answer. But he desperately wanted to be proven wrong.
