Augustus tended to look down as he walked through the corridors. It was much easier to blend in when he was slouching a bit, as he tended to stick out in a crowd because of his height. It also helped make sure that he didn't trip over anything, and it also made it easier not to talk to anyone. He wasn't making accidental eye contact as long as he was looking at his feet, after all. But today as he walked through the corridor on the fifth floor, Augustus spotted something unusual. Something sparkling on the ground. He stopped abruptly, which irritated a group of third years behind him but he hardly noticed. He crouched down to pick up the shiny object, noticing it was a ring. Augustus turned it over in his hand, admiring it for a moment. Someone must have dropped it. Augustus hesitantly looked around, holding up the ring. He wondered if the person was still around here somewhere. "Did anyone drop this?" He asked, though his voice was hardly audible over the chatter and bustle of the corridor.

Ellie was trying her best to always get to her classes on time, but sometimes with everyone walking through the corridors she would get turned around. Today was no different and she hadn't a clue where she actually was in relation to her Transfiguration classroom. She was certain she was on the correct floor she thought as she noticed an older student stop nearby and pick up something from the floor. In the noise of other students she barely could hear him from her nearby distance ask if someone had dropped the item. His robes were of Ravenclaw but she couldn't remember seeing him around the common room, at least not when she had been passing through. Feeling a bit lost herself she wasn't sure if she should do something or try to continue finding her classroom. Hesitating a few seconds she pushed her way over to much older student. She reached up to push his arm up higher than he'd been holding it before and yelled out, "HEEEEEEEEEEYYYY!! DID SOMEONE DROP THIS? AND WHERE IS THE FIRST YEAR CLASSROOM?"

As a girl approached him, Augustus felt relieved. He was sure she was the one who had lost the ring, and it would solve things quickly. So when the girl opened her mouth and started yelling, Augustus jumped in surprise and alarm, staring at her with wide eyes. “Uh, um.” He said, flushing brightly. “What... What classroom?” He ended up asking quietly, wondering if he could quickly send her on his way so she could stop shouting and making people stare at him.

Ellie looked up at the older boy in slight wonder. He was still being so quiet when he asked her what class she was looking for. "Well, Transfiguration actually," she said her voice steady as she looked around to see if anyone was coming to claim the ring the older teen was holding. She looked at his robe briefly and realized she had seen him before. At the start of the semester meeting where the Head of House had listed off the Prefects. "How are you a prefect when you're so quiet? No one could hear you asking about the item you found," Ellie was very surprised someone who seemed so timid was someone she was meant to go to for help. He would be doing his job if he took her to her class so she guessed it worked out. "ANYONE MISSING THEIR RING?" She yelled out one more time.

Augustus nodded when she said she needed the transfiguration classroom. He could help with that. He opened his mouth to say so when she started questioning why he was a prefect. Augustus winced. "I... don't know." He admitted. "I can help-" But then the girl started yelling again and Augustus jumped. "Please, stop." He said. "The transfiguration classroom is over there." He said, pointing to the right room.

Andi was getting more and more used to heights, but for the time being, the only time she actually felt safe in the air was when she was on a broomstick, which was a weird feeling. But at least there she had control. She still had to hold Doroteya's hand when they went to Astronomy, but she was able to walk up the stairs without her legs giving out.
The Slytherin was making her way back down to her Common Room when she heard someone call scream out, asking if anyone had lost a ring. The girl paused, and looked around, no one having come forward for the ring. She continued looking around as the older boy interacted with the girl from her year, but no one went to claim the ring. Pushing herself off against the wall, Andi approached the two. "Oh my gosh, you found my ring? Thank you so much. It's my mothers, so it's a little big and keeps slipping off. She would be so mad if she heard. Anyways, thank you again." Andi said, holding her hand out with a smile.
