Shadows And Regrets

Chloe laughed with him, thinking more and more. "How about we just say whoever wins gets a kiss, hm?" It was a simple enough prize, and it was sweet. Though, maybe one day the prizes would be skinny dipping or streaking. It made her happy that he had guessed correctly, since maybe she could finally be herself around someone. When he took her question, she giggled. "You stole mine!" The blond didn't mind at all, but it was something to say. "Something tells me... Musician? If not, auror?" She wondered if it would be Quidditch player, just because she hadn't said it. That seemed to be just her luck today. And honestly, she wouldn't mind any of those professions. They were all respectable.

A kiss, it was simple enough, and it wasnt too extreme. "A kiss it is." he said, smiling at her. He cupped a hand around her face and stroked it, staring into her eyes. She truly was beautiful, and even in the dim light, he could make out her stunning eyes, her scrumtious full lips and her soft blonde hair. "Yes, i did steal your answer... What are you going to do about it." he teased, kissing the tip of her nose. He then wondered if he should have done that. Most girls he knew didnt like it, but he shooed the thought away. Too late now. "A professional Seeker. I play Seeker for the school, which really makes me wonder how you havent seen me before." he wondered out loud. "Im actually being scouted by a pro team now... I have an audition with the Tutshill Tornados next week. Their small league but still, its a shot." he explained.

She stared back at him and smiled more. He had a very handsome face, and she always did like blondes. The dim light only made the lightness of it more prominent. "I'm going to steal one of your questions later." Her high voice tweeted, and she gave a Cheshire-like grin to her boyfriend. And yet she didn't seem phased when he kissed her nose, in fact, she rather liked that gesture. It was sweet and caring, but not too much to where she felt uncomfortable. A seeker... She thought to herself. This guy had no flaws. He was sweet, funny, musical, and to top it all off he could play sports. "Well, I guess I have seen you.. I just never noticed your name." She gave a small chuckle. She was always at their games. "And you're professionally scouted!! Great!!" The girl grinned. "Okay.. What do you think I am? Italian/French, Spanish/French, or English/French?"

Ash gave her a comical look, and raised his hand to his mouth in mock-horror. "Oh no, not one of my questions... What will i ever do?" he said in a high voice, before bursting out laughing and laying backwards on the soft grass, pulling Chloe down with him, and cuddling up to her as he watched stars appear in the sky. "Well if you've been to any games, id imagine so. Its just a pity that i never saw you..." he said, shrugging. It didnt matter, he had her now. "Yeah, there was a scout at our last game, and after i caught the snitch only ten mintues into the game, they decided to give me a shot." he said, shrugging that off also. "I would have prefered Falmouth, but Tutshill is fine i guess." he said and chuckled. He once again though about her question, and again went for something out of the ordinary. "Spanish/French?" he asked curiously.

"You were too busy being hero of the game." She teased him and rested on his chest once more, enjoying both the company and also the view of the night sky. This was her favorite time of the day, night time. It was calm and you could always find solace in the stars and white, shining moon. And yet tonight was an even better night, because Chloe fet undenyabley loved by another human being. He was just too perfect for words even by her own standards. "And I'm English and French." She mused, poking his nose and giving a short giggle. It was a strange combination considering the countries's histories together and all that. but somehow it worked between her mom and her dad. And hey, if it didn't Chloe wouldn't even be alive!

OOC: Sorry if this is short Im on my phone.

Ash couldnt help but sigh and laugh at her comment. "Hero of the game? Hardly... I just do what i gotta do." he said with a shrug. He loved quidditch, but he didnt spend enough time training for it. He was usually playing music, or off causing some kind of trouble within the school. He continued stroking her hair when she rested on his chest, and continued staring up at the sky. He honestly couldnt belive how this dar had gone. It had been perfect, and Ash wouldnt take it back for the world. "Ah, english french... Oh well, i think we're still one to zero." he said, and shrugged. He wasnt focused on the game so much as getting to know her better. "I think we'll just give up on the game, and tell each other a bit about ourselves... Or would you like to keep going with the game?" he asked.

Chloe pondered that question for a good five minutes, a smile not leaving her face for quite a while, after all she didn't have a reason not to smile. She instead just listened to Ash's heartbeat and thought out loud, "Seeing as I really can't get any of these right... Just tell me about yourself okay?" The blonde gave a small laugh. Nothing about this boy was predictable. It was a nice thing, she thought to herself. Most of the guys she knew, she could read like the back of her hand. There was no sport in learning about them, and that bored Chloe more than anything else. People often mistook that for her being a b!tch, but she couldn't help if she wasn't remotely entertained by the people around her. But then something dawned on her and sighed. "You won the game, well, you got closer than I did... So..." She trailed off, giving him a kiss on the lips right before returning to the previous position.

Ash was glad that she had decided they had played enough of the game. It was good for a while, but got boring before long. He couldnt help but smile when she kissed him, and pulled her back up for another kiss. He couldnt seem to get enough of them today. He pulled back after a few moments and wondered where he should start. "Well i was born in London, and have lived there my whole life. My father is a politician, and was actually knighted by the queen a few years ago." he explained, "My parents decided to send me to Beauxbatons, instead of Hogwarts, because of all the Death Eater influences and what not at Hogwarts." he continued.

He paused for a minute then. "I have a brother called Asa, and he is a little snob. I love quidditch, music and reading, but no one knows i even read." he said, grinning softly. "My favourite color is purple, my favouite flowers are white lillies..." he ended, wondering what else he had missed. "Is that all you'd like to know?" he asked softly.

Chloe nodded and hung onto his every word, finding every bit of it interesting. Plus they did have some similarities to them, which was nice. Her mother had the same reason for sending her to Beauxbatons, but it was more of an ironic reason for her family. That was a topic she hated to discuss, usually, yet somehow she didn't mind it with him. "Um.. Well..." She thought for a little, trying to think of something to say. After all that was a lot of nice information, and she didn't know where to start with comments. Though it was clear that she did indeed like what she heard. "That's actually very cool... My mom said the same thing when she sent me here." The blonde nodded.

"And I think that's all I need to know." She smiled more and more. It was nice that he read too, after all it was important to be well rounded in all subjects. But at the same time, this was getting way too perfect. "Wait, I got one." Chloe giggled. "Do you have any flaws?" She joked, sticking out her tongue and laughing even more.

Ash nodded understanding. It wasnt odd for parents to send their students to Beauxbatons to escape the prospect of Death eater influence. He was glad however, that Chloe's parents had had the same views, otherwise he would never have met her... "Well, i am glad that she had decided to send you hear, that it for sure." he said with a smile and kissed her from her forehead down to her nose, making little popping noises with each kiss.

Her question made him laugh. "Flaws.... Hmmm, well, i am allergic to mushrooms, and i dislike seafood? Do they count?" he asked with another smirk. He was far from flawless, and he knew it, but it made him feel good about himself when Chloe said that she thought he was perfect.

Chloe nodded in agreement at the first comment, letting out small giggles once Ash had began to kiss her. In the back of her head there was that nagging realization that her father would most likely not like Ash, just because he was a guy, and the fact that he was raised in a muggle-family. He wasn't a purist per say, but he did dislike muggle-borns. Chloe never understood it, but it was the way he was. If Chloe were to tell Ash about this, it would be much later on in their relationship, and that was if she even told him in the first place.

"Allergic to mushrooms and dislike seafood, oh how terrible!" She joked, making over dramatic faces of horror. "I don't know if I can ever look at you the same way, Ash!" With that she rolled her eyes and her soft smile returned once more, "As for me, my mom is a journalist for the Daily Prophet, I'm not quite sure what my father does to be honest, and then I have a big brother. He's just backpacking all over the place right now." The girl paused, thinking. "My favorite color is blue, I love lilies too, and I live in London during the summer, and I live in Paris during the rest of the year." Her slightly French accent flared when she said Paris, an old habit. "Oh! And I'm terrified of spiders; I won't hesitate to scream and ask anyone around to kill it."

Ash rolled over and lifted himself up so that he was suspended over Chloe. "Im sure i can make you look at me the same way." he said, grinning as he leaned down, kissing her cheek and slowly moving down her face, kissing her slowly until he reached her neck. He caressed her neck for a while, and then moved back up to kiss her lips. "How did that work for you?" he asked when he pulled away. He rolled over onto his side so he was holding himself up with his elbow so he could stroke the side of her face.

He listened to her tell him about her life, and family. "That sounds cool, i always wanted to travel around the world. If i was to do it though, it would be the muggle way, in a van. You just dont get the same sense of adventure with apparating." he explained. He frowned, remember what she had said about her dad. "What did you mean by you dont know what he does for work?" he asked curiously.

Chloe blushed and squirmed a little, but her smile was clear. "H-Haha, that works for me... Actually." She rolled onto her stomach and rested on her forearms, becoming more comfortable in that position rather than the previous. But then came the question of her father's job. The funny thing was, rather than covering it up, she just didn't know. Her parents tended to be secretive in that sense. Even with their booming social life, Chloe never seemed to know just what was going on. "Well that's just it. I don't know. He never told me and I never asked." Her blue eyes met with the boy's and she gave a shrug. "He just goes away for long periods of time, and then comes back for a month, then goes away. I 'unno what job would need that." She had once walked in on him with his friends, but before she could eavesdrop, they shooed her out.

Ash found it quite strange that Chloe didnt know what her fathers line of work was, but then again it wasnt really any of his business. He just shrugged it off, and watched her silently. His mind was still racing at a hundred miles an hour, and he didnt think it would ever catch up. "My god, it must be nearly ten o'clock. We've been out here for ours." he said, astonished as he glanced up at the moon. "Are you hungry? Ive made you miss dinner." he said, feeling bad. "We could go raid the kitchens? Or i know a nice restaurant that is only an apparation away..." he said, his badass streak coming out again.

Chloe blinked and finally felt her stomach grumble for food, which was just reassuring that they had, indeed, missed dinner. She smiled sheepishly and laughed nervously, trying to not make him feel bad. She could see it in his face that he was upset over it. "I-I'm fine, whatever you're up for." In honesty she did like the idea of raiding the kitchen... There was more of a chance they got caught, and she just loved that thrill. It was like a roller coaster, it was scary, but once you were done you just wanted to do it over and over again. With a small, minute giggle, she said. "Wanna go raid the kitchen then? After all that way we can have whatever we want for free."

Ash let a grin spread across his face at the look of rebellion on Chloe's face. He loved that about her, that she wasnt afraid to get up to some trouble. He stood up, grabbing her hand pulling her up after him. "Well, lets get going and get some food into you, shall we?" he said, turning and drawing his wand. "Lumos!" he said, watching his wand light up. He could now see around him alot better, and led the way through the cleared path. He extinguished the light once they were through the path, and squeezed Chloe's hand for reassurance. "Dont want unwanted eyes seeing us." he whispered to her as they snuck across the grounds.

They made it to the palace doors, and he quietly opened one side, sneaking Chloe through and closing it behind them. "Okay, now we just have to make it to the kitchens." he said as he pulled her towards the stairs leading down into the kitchens. As he had suspected, they were empty. He flicked his wand and the lights came on. "So what would you like to eat?" he asked her, turning and kissing her on the lips again gently.

Chloe laughed and got up, brushing off her outfit and fixing her hair a little. If they were seen, she'd have to look good. She followed him blindly, relaxed by the dim light and the hand she was holding. Though, she tensed when the wand extinguished. She wasn't afraid of the dark, she was afraid of what could be in the dark. There were many different creatures out there, Chloe of all people knew that. Her father taught her to aways be on edge when your vision was impaired, even if it meant not trusting those closest to you. She listened to her father's advice, squeezing Ash's hand back and not following him as easily as before.

When they made into the castle, and then the kitchen, she relaxed. The empty kitchen was nice, clean, quiet. It was perfect. She kissed him back and placed her hands around his neck, yawning only slightly. "Hm... How about I make us something to eat... That is, unless, you can cook." She gave an acute laugh, smiling at him more and more. This was an eerie silence however, and in the ancient school Chloe couldn't help but feel a little scared.

Ash gave her a hurt look. "Chloe dear, my parents are muggles, of course i can cook." he said to her, chuckling and shaking his head. He hadnt been able to use magic outside of school until this year, and with muggle parents, all the cooking was done without magic. His mother insisted on cooking, even though ther had a servant that working in the house. Ash had learn alot from her, and he was about to show his as he walked over to a cupboard and pulled out a pot and a fry pan. "I hope you like pasta." he said to her, turning the hot plate on.

He found a packet of pasta and garlic in the pantry, and some raw chicken breast and cream in the fridge. He then filled the pot the quarters of the way up, and put it on to boil. He then cut up the chicken into strips, and crushed the garlic up. He put the pasta in to the boiling water to cook, and then added the chicken to the fry-pan. When the past was cooked he took it off the hotplate, drained it, and added it, and the cream to the fry-pan. He then rummaged through the pantry again and found some spinnach leave, which he also added to the pan to give it colour. When it was all cooked he took it of the hotplate and plated it onto two plates. "Enjoy." he said, handing Chloe a plate and cuttlery .

The girl laughed at his face, pressing their foreheads together happily. "Don't make that face.. You're only cute when you smile." This was quite obviously a joke, and she couldn't help but snicker at it. And it seemed that this was turning into quite an interesting night. First she found someone playing guitar, find out that he was an amazing boy, turn out to ending up being his girlfriend, and then finally getting him to cook for her in the school's kitchen. Chloe was enjoying every moment of all of it. It was pure bliss.

"Thanks... You know," She lent over the counter and began to eat her meal happily, amazed that it tasted so great. "You're like Superman... And your version of kyrptonite is mushrooms." It was an interesting concept, and she thought about that while she slurped a noodle. "Does that make me Louis Lane?" The girl was a total nerd as well, much due to her brother's habit of reading her comic books when she was younger. She would just sit there for hours on end, listening to mythical heroes and the people they would save.

Ash had to laugh at what she had said. He wondered how she could thing he was superman. "Superman, really? Well... Mushrooms and you." he said softly. Mushrooms would make him puff up and stuff, but if someone hurt Chloe... Yes, she was deffinately his kryptonite. But luckily, he didnt have any enemies, and he wasnt sure if Chloe did, but for this year at least, they were at school. And then another thing hit him. "My god... We're graduating this year." he said in a soft tone. That meant he had a year being with her until they decided if they would make the struggle to continue to see each other outside of school, or if they would move in together. It was a scary thought, loosing her after only a year.

"Oh god..." A realization dawned on her. Once they were out of school... Well, how would they talk? After all they were going to be in totally different fields as for work but she was sure that they could find some way to stay in touch. "Where is Tutshill anyway?" She racked her bran for the answer, and couldn't really find the answer. Hopefully it was near where she wanted to work. "If it's near Wales then we'll be in good shape.. I can work at the Welsh Dragon Sanctuary." Her face never was without a smile, even if she did worry about seeing him she'd never let on that way. After all she hated people fussing, and now that was even more so with Ash.

Ash grimance when he saw realisation hit Chloe as well. "Tutshill is in the Forest Of Dean, in Gloucestershire... If you know where that is." he said shrugging. He would only be there for training and games, which were a short apparation away. "But im not going to be living in Tutshill. Its too small and quiet for me. Im actually buying a condo in London." he explained with a frown, counting the days in his head. "Wow, i actually make the last payment tomorrow, and then its mine." he said with a smile. Probably something he should have mentioned earlier.

"I have no idea where that is, in honesty." Chloe laughed and ran her fingers through her hair. She was never a fan of apparation. Sure it was convenient and everything, but she was never told to use it so she never got used to it. "I'm thinking I may get myself a place in Wales, I always worry about apparation so I'd like being close." Her mouth opened and she let out yet another laugh. "Either that or I'll try traveling like my brother, maybe stick around in Romania for a little." In fact, she was a tad surprised that Ash already had his own place lined up from him; it was actually a nice and smart thing to do. "Wow, really? If you need help moving, I'll help all you need."

Ash grew somewhat quiet at the prospect of losing Chloe so soon. His line of work wasnt all that time consuming. He had training some nights a week, and a game every weekend, but other than that he was free to do what he wanted. Chloe however... Training dragons was a time consuming job, and that meant that besides being at work, she probably wouldnt have much time on her hands. He supposed that he could always visit and stay over, which was a cheerful prospect. "Yeah i probably will actually..." he said, thinking about it. Moving was a big job.

"Then I'll be here to help." Chloe slurped one of the pasta noodles and giggled, snorting at the end like the dork she was. "Tell me about it! How big is it? Is it in good shape?" She lent her chin on her palm and looked at him, her head tilting in curiosity and in intrigue. After all she wanted her own place eventually, maybe it would be a good idea to listen to someone that had bought their own already. And even more so, she would have to know a little about it before she started to visit it. That was probably the only way that they'd be able to stay in contact, visits every so often and calls on the phone would suffice.
