Seventh Years, Lesson Three

There were few beings that James was glad not to have encountered during his career as an auror and Inferi held a high place on that list. Thankfully, the state of the wizarding world was currently as such that Inferi were a pretty rare sighting but nonetheless it was important that his seventh years were well informed about them. James stood at his desk and waited as the students made their way into the classroom ready for their latest lesson. "Welcome back seventh years we'll get straight into it," He waved his wand to close the classroom door. "You might want to take some notes today, we'll be covering Inferi,"

"Before we begin, can anyone tell me what inferi are?"
James paused while one student gave him a quick answer. "Correct, Inferi or the singular Inferius are corpses that have been reanimated by powerful dark magic, for lack of a better term they are...zombies, for our muggle born friends, but they lack any kind of hunger or drive, they are fully in control of the witch or wizard who animated them," James explained, pausing to let the students catch up.

Once the lecture was finished he waved his wand over the blackboard to make the original text disappear and in its place the homework was written. "For homework, read the chapter in your books on Inferi and write a short essay, otherwise class dismissed,"

Assignment: RP the lesson. Complete the homework for extra credit.

Emmanuel walked into the defence against the dark arts classroom and took his usual spot in the room. His gaze moved to the professor at the front of the classroom and took out his notes and books as the professor began the lecture, telling them that they would be covering inferi. He didn't mind this in the slightest, though the creature themselves was pretty awful. He took down what the professor was saying about the creatures. He wondered what they would be like to control. What it would be like to weild, even though he truly had no intention of doing so. The professor then wrapped up the lesson and then they were given a little homework and allowed to head off, which he did so. Going to the library so he could start on the lecture.

Lennox entered the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, a rather annoyed look on her face. She had some issues with her roommates earlier on in the day. Of course, Lennox was able to settle the argument, which basically meant that she demanded she was right and walked away. That settled it for her. Lennox just hoped her roommates were annoying enough to cross her. She would find out later in the day, but right now she had class. She hoped this lesson would brighten up her day, but considering the previous one, she doubted it.

The Slytherin girl took her seat and turned her attention to the professor, almost daring him to make her day worse. He seemed to have accepted giving them another boring lecture. Lennox sighed in an annoyed tone as she took out her note taking items. She swished the quill around to make it as fluffy as possible before turning to her notes. She did not bother to answer any questions, but she did take notes, listening for any other sly comments from her classrooms.

The lesson continued as normal. She was thankful when it ended though. it had bored her to death even if it wasn't super long. Sadly, they did have homework. Lennox wrote it down before packing up her things and leaving the classroom.
