Seventh Years: Lesson 6

Professor Killian Borisyuk had his tattooed hands behind his head as he waited for the seventh years to come in the classroom and settle in. Even though this was the last time they'd be in this classroom for a lesson, they were still small in his eyes. Granted, most people were small in his eyes. First years were even worse because they were like toddlers to him. He was glad he didn't have to deal with them. He preferred the older, more mature group. He waited for them all to enter and file in to get settled. Once it was time, he did not close the door since there was no reason to. "As you know, this is your last lesson here in History of Magic. Just like most other classes, you are free to study."

Killian paused for a moment, and shrugged his shoulders as he took his hands from behind his head to fold his arms over his chest, leaning back in the chair. "I'll offer you the same thing as I do for every other year. If you want to study any subject, you can. If you want to leave, I won't stop you. You can ask me questions over any of the subjects, but I don't know anything about the electives except Arithmancy and Ancient Runes. I cannot help you with the other electives." Killian just hoped that they would not ask him anything about the other electives. He would definitely give them wrong answers.

Emmanuel couldn’t quite believe that this was his final week of Hogwarts classes, he still had so much learning to do. He had so much work he needed to get to. He was looking forward to getting more and more specific on the eduction he wanted. He knew it would take time, but the time would pass as quickly as the last seven years at the school. He grabbed the last few things he needed, and headed to the last classes he had at this school.

Emmanuel walked into the history classroom and did not need to be told twice to just study. He opened his books and notes and began revising all they had covered in this semester of this class, before going into the things they had covered in the last semester of the class. Making sure as best he could that he worked well over the hour. Eventually the lesson was wrapped up and he packed up his things and left the room.

As the weeks counted down to graduation, Todd had felt the anticipation building, but now that the final week of lessons was finally here, nervousness crept in too. He was excited for life after Hogwarts, yet part of him wasn’t sure he was ready for the big bad world yet.

Arriving for his last History of Magic class, Todd sat in his usual seat, feeling oddly sentimental. He pulled out his notes, flipping through them for the lesson. When the lesson ended, Todd packed up slowly, lingering a moment before heading to the front to thank Professor Borisyuk then left the classroom feeling strange that he would never have a History of Magic lesson again.

Rory hadn’t enjoyed history of magic all that much so he was glad he was done with the subject and was pleased to hear that Professor Borisyuk was giving them their final lesson as a study session, as he always had in the final week of the semester. Some professors had tried to get fancy for the final lesson, Rory didn’t want to mark the occasion, he just wanted extra study time so he could concentrate on his N.E.W.Ts. Once they had Professor Borisyuk’s blessing to go and study elsewhere, Rory grabbed his bag and headed out of the classroom to go and study in the library.
