It was autumn which only meant that Virginia decided to go to Russia again because she had to meet friends and one friend in particular, Carter, because she had to find out how he was doing and when he planned to leave anyway. Plus Virginia missed Carter and the friendly flirting that the others didn't really understand, but she didn't really care because he was her best friend who was interesting.

As usual, it was cold here and I had to dress warmer to go out of the rented apartment and go to the bar where Carter worked. Virginia hoped that this would be his shift tonight. She was mortified by how damn cold it was in this country that she had to walk fast to the bar to avoid turning into a block of ice. She made her way to the bar with quick steps, walking in and it was warm inside. It was full of people, but Virginia didn't linger long at the aisle, but pushed her way through the crowd to get straight to the bar. She really hoped that Carter would be here today and she would surprise him with her arrival again.

Carters plan was almost ready- it'd help if he didn't spend as much as he did, but his thought was as long as he was still saving a set amount each paycheck he was fine. He wanted to enjoy life, not just survive it. That meant enough to go out to eat twice a month, visit the shops, see a movie on occassion. He was a sucker for the movies. He had picked up a few more shifts, and had even started covering as a bartender a few times a week. Today, though, he was working as a busser, keeping the place clean while watching out for anyone that might be a problem. He was swaying along to the music, watching the clock for the end of his shift, not noticing right away that he had company.

Virginia had already given up hope that she would see the one who had come to the bar today. She began to consider leaving and announcing her arrival in Russia in some other way. She was about to leave the bar when she noticed the person she had come here for. A smile appeared on her face. It was clear when his shift would end soon, so it was necessary to act quickly. Virginia moves towards the guy where the guy was. ''Hey, bartender! Can I have a glass of wine?'' she called out loud enough to be heard over all the loud music.

@Carter Volkov

Carter heard a familiar voice call out- or at least he thought he did. He had to weave through the crowd a bit, a silly smile on his face, before finally managing to pop out next to his old friend. "V!" He opened his arms for a hug. "You little rascal, how are you?" he laughed. "Sneaking up on me."

Virginia was a little surprised that she was immediately recognized. "I'm doing fine, you big rascal! And how are you?" she asked, smiling at the guy. "You didn't wait for me, did you?" she winked at him. A few girls were seen giving her a sideways glance, but Virginia didn't care. "What time does your shift end?"

@Carter Volkov

Carter glanced at the clock as she asked, visibly pouting a bit. "Another thirty minutes," He told her, turning to look at her again with an impish grin. "Why don't you grab some drinks and I'll come meet you once I'm clocked out?" He offered to her, thinking that way they could take off after and find something better to do.
