Mania had made herself a nice boat, the real up side of being short was that she could easily fit into the boats even if she picked a smaller pumpkin. She was quite excited about the prospect. Mania had once watched the movie Titanic, but she wasn't worried about sinking. This was a pumpkin that had been a full boat with lots of people plus there was no iceberg in sight. Scanning the lake there was a huge smile on the third years lips, she was about to sail as far as she could get an nobody could stop her! They could try but she had a paddle... well more like a stick but you know the effort was there.

After her boat was safely in the water Nia turned around and saluted the rest of the people on the shore. "See ya later!" She told them before climbing into her boat. In theory she was practically Cinderella now, that princess had been in a pumpkin carrier and Nia was in a pumpkin boat. Twins right? Using her stick to paddle forward Mania started getting further into the lake, absolutely meaning to get as far as she could. The lake looked peaceful so far at least.

Lucy was out on the lake in a pumpkin boat, rowing lightly and keeping an eye out for anyone struggling. She'd noticed a small situation but it seemed to be resolving itself, so she didn't intervene. On the shore, Audrey was keeping watch for the students swimming so Lucy at least didn't have to bother with that.

She was ruminating a little, thinking on Tempest and how much she missed her, as well as the responsibilites she currently bore. Maybe her life looked good from the outside, but all this trouble with Teddy was starting to wear on her. She just didn't know what to do about it.

She watched as someone rowed closer, Lucy smiling out at them, turning to row closer but not to collide. "Ahoy!" she said with a smile. "How fare you on these fine seas?" She was being a little bit silly, but Lucy didn't always get the chance to be silly and she thought she'd make the most of the occasion.

Mania was too busy rowing her way forward, desperate to get as far out, as fast as she could that when she heard someone call out to her she flinched. Raising her eyes to look at who'd called out to her she grinned at the Head Girl, Lucy. "Ahoy, Ahoy Matey!" She waved at her. "Quite lovely these seas today, do you think they'll take house points off of me if I go too far and refuse to go back to shore?" Nia asked, midway forgetting to even try to sound like a pirate.

It took her brain all of ten seconds to catch up that she'd just asked the Head Girl if points would be taken off of her if she went too far and refused to go back. She'd heard from her sister that apparently the Head Boy was very keen on taking points from students. Glancing warily Lucy's way Mania put on her most dazzling and innocent smile. "Not that I was planning on such stupidity!" She tried to sound convincing. She'd come this far but it wasn't quite far enough for the third year yet and she wondered how it'd feel to sleep in he boat over night.
