S2/Y35 Ilvermorny Quidditch Practice!

Your action (hit) was successful!
...but the bludger went off course, and you hit another player, instead!

The cold weather was not helping Eli's mood, but there was a grim smile on his face as he finally managed to hit a bludger. It didn't hit Hope, though he aimed for her, but instead veered slightly off course and hit AJ instead. He couldn't be too upset with that outcome.

Adam took out his pocket comb and fixed his hair.

AJ heard the telltale sound of a bludger gunning for him as he made his way across the pitch. He turned in time to see it was probably Eli who had hit it over, but he'd barely raised his bat before it slammed into his chest. Wheezing, AJ focused on staying on his broom, watching as the bludger shot off unperturbed as he tried to catch his breath.

Isaak grabbed the quaffle once it was thrown back into play. As he rounded the middle, he noticed that Adam was fixing his hair. Even Isaak had to admit, even though his attitude stunk, his skills were not half bad.

Cayleigh adjusted her goggles, while flying around, desperately searching for a bludger to hit. After AJ got hit, she winced. That must have hurt a lot.

AJ's chest still ached from the hit and he gave up hunting down bludgers for the moment as he tried to recover from having the wind knocked out of him. Each breath of cold air stung more than the last and AJ had to take a few deep breaths before he felt like lifting his bat again.

Hope noticed it was harder to get to the other side of the pitch. The wind was heavy and she was glad she did her hair in a tail today. Otherwise she could not see a thing. She continued her search.

Isaak made it to the hoops and threw the quaffle, only for the keeper to catch it. The snow was making things a little worse but at least he didn’t outright miss.

Cayleigh shivered even more as she searched for a bludger to hit.

Adam smirked and tossed the quaffle back into play.

Still hurting, but feeling less like he was dying now, AJ tried to shake off the ache, focusing on getting back on the tail of another bludger. He started drifting back to towards the seekers, now more inspired that he'd rather not have them take a hit like he had.

Hope didn't paid a lot of attention to the rest, she wasn't selfish but she needed to be if she wanted to be focused on the snitch. Although she tried to look out for bludgers, it wasn't nice to be hit.

Catching the quaffle had jostled the hair Adam had just fixed, and he resumed combing through it.

Dominic grabbed the quaffle as Adam threw it back, and gave a thumbs up before making his way around the pitch and back to the goals. He was trying not to let the weather get him down but his usual cheerful attitude was starting to waver.

Adam watched Dominic disappear into the sleet, and returned to idly waiting for he or one of the other chasers to come try another shot. Even with the weather, this practice had been too easy for him.

AJ wanted to blame the cold and the bludger hit, but he could tell he was just having an awful practice. It wasn't like this was the first time he'd flown in a little snow before anyway. Unable to keep pace with a bludger as it streaked past, AJ slowed his broom sighing and rubbing at the straps of his goggles in frustration.

Hope had been so quick with the first one catching the snitch, but the second time took too long for her taste. But she would not give up. Noah didn't got it yet. She flew a bit lower perhaps the golden snitch was showing up there somewhere.

Eli was getting sick of the cold and the snow. He wanted this practice to be over soon, and he gave Isaak a glare in the hopes that he would understand the hint.

Adam bobbed from side to side, occasionally checking the time. He glanced to the stands, in case any adoring fans had come to watch him flex his keeper skills. Unsurprisingly, they'd stayed indoors during this weather.

Catching up to one of the bludgers, AJ was gratified when he finally managed to land a semi-solid hit, only to sigh again when the bludger careened off into an unoccupied part of the pitch. He would have felt better if he'd been intentionally trying to avoid his teammates, but maybe it was for the best.

Dominic didn't see any of the other chasers around and figured he should just try and make the shot. Without thinking too much he threw the quaffle while Adam seemed to be distracted. "Yes!" he shouted, as the quaffle sailed through the goal. "Look alive, Everett!" he teased, as he flew by.

Adam hadn't even seen Dominic, until a quaffle flew right in front of him and he'd turned his head to see where it had come from. If. Looks. Could. Kill. "Well done." He gave the chaser a slow, sarcastic applause. "It's about time you chasers did something. It makes sense that I'd have to be half-asleep for you to finally score." He tore his glare away to swoop down and catch the quaffle, muttering choice words under his breath. He threw the quaffle back into play, somewhat aggressively.

AJ heard the sound of muffled voices across the pitch, tilting his head to see Dominic had finally managed to score. He wasn't going to lie and say Adam didn't scare him a bit, but it was nice to see even he wasn't infallible in this weather. Giving his bat arm a few test swings, AJ set back off to find another bludger.

Hope continued her flying and heard someone cheering. She figured there was scored by one of the chasers, but she didn't looked way. She saw the snitch! Now she just had to catch it. Hope flew after it and hold her broom tight. It was hard to led go with one hand, since the windy weather. But Hope came closer and she was fast now. The brunette reached out for it and than suprisingly she hold the snitch! Hope smiled bright, this was a good practice and she showed to the team she could do it. '' Got it again!'' The brunette said with a grin. And showed it into the air hoping the captain would see. But she flew close to a few of the team members.

AJ had been lining up to take another swing at the bludger he'd caught up to, barely managing to tap it with his bat before it angled away from him. He sighed, but was distracted by his own despair by the sound of Hope's voice across the pitch. "Yay, Hope!" He called, voice still muffled by the flurries of snow. He was glad at least Hope was onto it today.
