S2/Y35 Ilvermorny Quidditch Practice!

Feeling sheepish after the last bludger scare, AJ tried his best to radiate competent beater energy so the seekers could focus. The snow was distracting though, and AJ was finding it hard to balance keeping close to their seekers and wanting to wander off to chase down bludgers.

Adam almost missed Dominic's approach until he was right in front of him, but managed to dart in the way of the quaffle in time. "I know." He responded simply, before tossing the ball back into play. He didn't need the validation of these people. He knew he was that good.

Noah was about to agree with AJ that he too was worrying that a bludger could come out nowhere when one actually did. "Oh man, that was close," he said. He nodded in agreement, thinking that it was time for him to pay attention again also, even if it was pretty difficult to see the tiny golden ball.

Hope saw Noah flying around now as well. It was hard to fly forward against the windy weather, but she hold on to her broom. She didn't gave up. Noah seemed distracted for a moment so Hope flew to the other side not that fast, but tried as hard she could.

Hope continued but didn't came that much further, the wind was heavy. And no sign yet.

As far as AJ could see (which admittedly wasn't very far), the bludgers were mostly leaving the seekers alone for now. He did spot one zipping about heading towards the southern hoops though, and AJ was hoping he could catch up to it. "Holler if you need anything," He called to Noah and Hope, ducking down close to his broom as he shot off after it.

He noticed Hope flying away from him but didn't follow her along. He would have to catch the snitch himself in the end so there was need to just follow her along. And now AJ had gone, too. Pressing forward on his broom, Noah continued to search for the snitch, even if it did seem impossible.

Adam hovered in the air, waiting for a chaser to appear from the snow. They were taking their time with this weather. He made a mental note to bring something to do to pass the time in future practices.

So far, this practice was pretty boring. Eli chased after a bludger, but it out sped him before he could try to hit it at anyone.

Isaak flew in and swooped with the quaffle. While practicing was showing to be rather uneventful, Isaak believed that if they could do well in the snow, they could do well in any sort of weather.

Cayleigh shivered as she flew around. She saw a blusher and hit it away from the seekers. At least she was protecting somewhat.

Eli flew after the bludger Cayleigh had hit, but missed his own hit. He grumbled, then flew on.

Glad that people were looking out for them, Noah continued his search for the golden snitch.

AJ wasn't having any luck so far. He'd just managed to catch up to the bludger he was tailing, but taking a swing, his gloved hand didn't have a decent grip on the bludger and AJ sighed as he barely altered its course.

Hope continued flying and saw a golden thingy in the corner of her eye. So quickly turned her broom and tried to fly as fast as she could, she was close! The wind was heavy and didn't made it easy. But she hold her broom now with one hand and reached out to the golden snitch quickly and managed to catch it. So almost let it fall, but got it! Hope smiled and figured this was a good start. '' I got it!'' She than screamed loud. And showed it.

AJ was still tailing the bludger when he heard Hope yell out. It was a little hard to clearly see what she was holding, but AJ was pretty certain she'd just managed to catch the snitch. "Nice one!" He called, before having to suddenly duck and swerve as the bludger he'd been chasing changed directions. AJ really had to stop getting distracted today.

Eli rolled his eyes when AJ complimented the seeker for doing her job. Was he supposed to cheer every time Adam saved a goal, or someone hit a bludger? He flew on, pretending he hadn't seen it happen at all.

Noah groaned when Hope was the first one to catch the snitch. While he wanted it to be him, as a alternate he felt like he had to prove himself more than the others since he would have to try out again next year, this was probably why the captain had picked her. Congratulating Hope by giving her the thumbs up, Noah flew around the pitch to give the snitch time to get away as soon as it was released again.

It was bitterly cold trying to fly quickly in this weather and AJ tried to keep flexing his fingers as he gripped his broom and bat, just hoping to keep them warm as he took off after the bludger again.

2a.

Dominic saw an opening and flew up along Isaak's side. "On your left!" he called out as he stole the quaffle from the captain's arm with a chuckle. He raced towards the goals and hoped to get Adam by surprise, but his hand slipped and missed.

AJ had just managed to catch up to one of the bludgers. With all his focus on hitting the thing, he hadn't really been considering where he was aiming, watching as the bludger scuttered along to nowhere in particular.

Adam snickered and took the quaffle, tossing it back into play. Where was the challenge? And to think that Isaak almost risked kicking him off the team. It was humiliating then, but honestly so laughable now.

Hope was glad she caught the snitch one time and smiled as people congratulated her. It was hard to see who it was but she spotted Noah also. She hoped he would get it soon too, so that the competition would be on again. Hope flew to the other side of the field as she let go of the snitch and it flew quickly away and she moved to it, hoping to get it another time.

AJ didn't like to think he was rusty, but the cold weather was definitely not helping him feel too great about his beater skills. He sighed as his bat slide useless across a nearby bludger, mostly succeeding in sending it into a spiral than really knocking it anywhere. Adjusting his grip, AJ chased on after it for a second hit.

Visibility was getting pretty bad and AJ was starting to think he wouldn't know if he'd managed to hit anyone even if he did get a good hit on a bludger. He'd managed to lose the one he was tailing again, deciding to drift back towards the hoops and check in on the chasers until he could spot the other one.
