History: Rupert was born in London, the oldest of twins. He was the outgoing one from an early age, outshining Miles in just about everything the two of them did. At Hogwarts he was both a dedicated student and a bit of a scoundrel, quickly developing a reputation for stealing people's boyfriends. Almost exclusively his brother's boyfriends. After school, Rupert quickly figured out that the best use for his particular skillset was curse-breaking, and he felt a draw to the romantic, dangerous world of tomb exploration. He spent a few years in his 20s travelling the world, breaking curses in dangerous places and seducing people wherever he went. Before long though, Rupert figured out exactly where the money came from. Certainly, he could make a decent living travelling and working on commission, but if he happened upon uncursed items, cursed them himself, and discreetly sold them on the black market, he could create his own business. Sell a cursed item, profit. The new owner brings it to him to have the curse removed, profit again. A perfect business model. He spent years moving from place to place every so often, packing up shop and heading somewhere new every time law enforcement got wind of his business. After over a decade of no contact, Rupert moved to New Zealand mostly to annoy his brother, reconnecting with Miles and “trying” to “rebuild” their “relationship”.
