Open Runes readings episode two: professors

[Selene Le Fey]

Selene sat in the ancient runes classroom. She had enjoyed class last week where she had done a rune reading for one of the Gryffindor students. she listened as the professor introduced the task for today's class. She had to do a reading fo a professor. She knew that she could do a reading on a few different professors. she could go and ask her mum. or professor Josephs she wanted to but she thought that she should try someone else. in the end she decided to head to the ground floor. She waited outside the professor's common room and waited until a professor passed by. "Excuse me, professor. would I be able to do a runes reading fo you? I need to do one on a professor for class" she asked hoping that the professor would agree to it.

[Professor Angel Castillo]

Angel's mind was elsewhere as the semester progressed, which was making keeping track of his classes and students increasingly difficult. Josephine was due so soon and Angel still wasn't certain he was ready in the slightest. Keeping a baby alive was a lot harder than keeping a few plants alive. Though maybe less likely to bite.

Angel had retreated to the professor's common room to get a change of scenery but it didn't take long before the cushy armchairs felt too suffocating and he had to move again, striding from the room. He paused when someone called out to him, hesitating at Selene Le Fey's question. His last rune reading hadn't exactly been the most comfortable experience, but Angel did have a lot on his mind. "Sure, why not," he said, giving Selene a smile that was only half insincere.

Selene saw the professors room door open and she saw it was her herbology professor. she couldn't tell if the professor actually wanted a reading or not but he accepted one anyway."thank you professor Castillo." she said glancing around for somewhere to work. "hmm we might have to move over here" she said moving towardsthe bottom of the stairs. it wasn't an ideal working pot but at least she could sit. and place the stones out and it woudltn be for long. she handed the bag to the professor. "give this a shake and ask a question. then give it back" she said. hoping that the question wouldn't be anything too complicated to read.

Angel followed Selene to the bottom of the stairs, somewhat bemused for a moment before shrugging and sitting down with her. He nodded as he took the rune bag from her, pausing to think as he gave them a little shake. Asking what actually was on his mind seemed like a line he wasn't super keen to cross with a student, even one graduating soon. His head was a mess of worry about Josephine and being a father and all sorts of things that turned his stomach with nerves, but Angel figured he had something of a reputation to keep among the student body so he searched his mind for something a little less personal. "Is there anything more important I should be focusing on right now?" He decided on, passing the rune bag back to Selene with a smile.
