Ruined

"There is always a first time for everything," Kalif shrugged as she doubted that he would have done that. Saying something along those lines made him want to prove her wrong, but then again it would be harming her and abuse, so Kalif decided not to do that. There was no way he was going to stoop to that level, not with Nicolette. Nicolette meant more to him than anyone else did, except for his children and family. However they did not get away with anything either. He kept them in line with an iron fist, which was what he was going to keep doing. There was nothing that he would do to put Nicolette's life in danger, not with the Zhefarovich family dying every so often. They were losing some of the older members, and that meant a lot. Especially some of the darkest lines, which was his own line. The darkest of the Zhefarovich people were none other than Asparuh's direct line. He was the darkest of them all, and the most powerful, with Kalif right behind him. Kalif was positive that there was not going to be another death in the family for a long time to come seeing as none of them were over a hundred, and that was very common in the family for someone to reach that age. Kalif was getting close to that, but it was still quite a bit away, so he would not have to worry too much about it anyway. Kalif merely smirked when his wife told him to bite her, not like he would. That was something, a whole other level, that he did not want to get into, not at this moment anyway. Kalif shrugged lightly, before he uttered, "Not like you can really match your attitude with my own." Kalif followed after his wife to check up on their youngest, Lanithro. Probably missing his parents. Walking up the stairs after his wife, they had entered the nursery where Lanithro was waking up. Kalif did not think that he wanted anything to eat, or a diaper change for that matter. Probably wanted to be held. Kalif turned to his wife, and he was relieved that they would not have to deal with this nonsense after Lanithro. They were long since done and over with for children. They did not need anymore, and would not have anymore. They could finally get things done for themselves, and be alone once these were grown up enough to leave for school. Kailie was almost in school, and there was no telling what house she would end up in. She had everything in her, from Gryffindor to Slytherin to Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Kalif did not care so long as she got a good education.

Nicolette blinked then huffed lightly when Kalif shrugged his shoulders and told her that there was always a first time for everything. Even if she figured that he would still never go through with it, it set her off a little to even hear it being mentioned. She easily trusted her life within his hands but if that darkness within was ever to take hold was there a part of her that needed to worry about being harmed if his anger got to much to deal with? "Hmph says you." Nicolette murmured as she started to head up to the Nursery to tend to her youngest and final child Lanithro, he was the easiest to get to sleep thankfully because tonight she felt restless and she figured that the baby would be able to sense that from her. It was probably because every fiber within her was telling her to show Kalif who was the boss. Clearly he was going to most likely beat her and make her look like a fool. But it was a reaction now of hers now. They bonded like this. All the roughness and arguing they did really did nothing mentally, unlike most couples who suffered from such situations, if actually tended to make their bond stronger. It was weird but Nicolette was pretty sure no one but her husband could understand what she meant by the way they were with one another. Sometimes Nicolette wasn't even sure if she was able to understand it. But she knew that she loved him and would do anything for him. But he got her going to quickly. It wasn't actually fun arguing with him half of the time. Once inside the nursery she could tell just by the noises that her son was making that he was just eager for some attention from his parents. He was definitely the baby of the family. He was spoiled with attention. Without another word to Kalif, Nicolette bent down and picked up her baby and cradled him. She kissed his smooth nose and had to resist the urge to smile. One thing she always noticed quickly was how Lanithro had Kalif's nose. Even if he disagreed with her on the subject she saw it so easily. He had his father's nose. Nicolette cradled her baby for a bit, urging him back to sleep. Once he was Nicolette gave her son a kiss on the forehead and ever so carefully placed him back within his crib. Then with a nudge she motioned for Kalif to follow her out of the room so they didn't wake the baby. When they were both outside and the door was closed behind them, she turned towards her husband. "You would think that with all those moronic kids you get to bully at Hogwarts, you'd have no muse left to be as much of a pain in the ass here too. Regardless of that, thanks....for the potion and everything. Even if I was totally fine without it." Nicolette told him as she leaned against the wall. She gave him a semi serious look before she stepped forward and leaned up to give him a kiss on the cheek. With his height she really had to reach though. Nicolette pulled away and started to step her way down the hall. "I already thought of a way to make it up to you tomorrow too. But...I'm a little tired. So It'll have to wait till tomorrow I'm afraid. Goodnight Kalif." Nicolette muttered as she turned. Oh she had a plan. He could probably tell that he was in for another day of her antics too. But no matter how much he claimed he hated such things, deep inside, she knew he would miss them if she was no longer around.
