Yellow Rose for @Rosemarie Chatwin

Borrowing a word from her father's vernacular, the best way Brooke could describe Rosemarie, if she was being polite, was "quirky". There was no getting away that the girl was a bit weird, carrying around her plants and thinking they had feelings and stuff, but at least she was fairly non-offensive outside that, though Brooke shuddered to think how much dirt she probably had under her nails.

Taking an educated guess, Brooke wasn't surprised to find Rosemarie was at the Wild Patch, glad she hadn't had to walk all over the school looking for her fellow deliverer. "Hi Rosemarie," she said airily, giving her a polite smile. "I have a rose for you. Assuming you're not like, protesting the event or something,"she said, thought it was mostly a joke since she'd seen Rosemarie sign up to deliver.

At first Rose hated the rose giving event, but she also knew she couldn't boycott everything. Everyone else seemed to be in love with the flowers and at least the flowers gave joy to people. Unfortunately they would wither away soon and Rose had told people to dry them in books. So the roses could last forever. Rose, her basket and Edgar her trusty succulent were currently at the wild patch. Hoping to find more of her recipients. Well secretly she was getting some peace and quiet of mind.

Then she heard a voice of someone she wasn't very close with, but she knew her name. Rose didn't mind Brooke she was always nice to her. Rose looked at the roses and smiled. ''Nope, not protesting this year'' Rose grinned.

Brooke was surprised, but at least relieved there wouldn't be any speech about how picking flowers was wrong today. Maybe Rosemarie was growing up a bit this year. "Oh good, glad you'll be able to enjoy it this year," she said brightly, reaching for the yellow rose she had for her. "Maybe you can keep this with your uh. Plant friend," she said, nodding to the one Rosemarie had on her again and trying not to laugh.

Dear Rose,

Thank you for being one of my bestest friends! I trust that you will look after this rose. You can name him whatever you like, or even add it to a flower crown. A flower crown would look so pretty on you!

Wishing you the best Valentine's Day,
Essie xx
