Abian's fifth year had been one of his more stressful ones, and he didn't think sixth year would be much better. He had bought a new skateboard over break, and had used it a lot. Here at Hogwarts, it was a lot more difficult to find smooth paths to skate on. The courtyard came the closest, unless he tried skating inside. But he didn't think many of the professors would enjoy that. So now that the courtyard was mostly empty, Abian took advantage of that by skating from one side to the other, attempting a few easy tricks. Skateboarding was one thing that usually kept his mind off his worries, and today it was doing the trick as usual. He came to a stop, kicking his skateboard up to hold it as he looked around for where to skateboard next.

Vegeta Arai found himself in the courtyard, having finally decided what he wanted to do with his life. He wanted to be a grief counselor. Though, he was still in the grieving process himself, so he would make one piss poor counselor. Vegeta opened a book about the arts of healers, and started to read. He heard the sound of wheels. That noise, he was so familiar with. He loved to skateboard, but he never brought it out of his suitcase except during brightstone weekends. At first, he thought it was Goku. He looked up about to tell his twin that he was okay, and not to check on him so much, but instead, he saw Abian Hunter. A Hufflepuff in his year. Vegeta never spoke to him, never bullied him either. Would this be a good chance for an actual friend, other than Elsie? Well, never mind her anymore. He could hardly think of her name without wanting to break. He waved toward the Hufflepuff and complimented, "Good moves!"

Abian smiled in surprise as he saw a boy wave at him and compliment him. "Uh, thanks!" He said, recognizing Vegeta from Gryffindor. He knew the boy hadn't always been very nice, but... he was nice now, at least seemingly. Abian decided to give him a chance, especially because he'd been feeling kind of lonely lately. Things weren't going well with him and Emily, and he still wasn't talking to Amaya. And, well, she no longer seemed to care, as far as he could tell. Abian shook off those thoughts and stepped closer to the other boy. "Do you want to try?" He asked him, gesturing to the skateboard.

Vegeta smiled a little bit, rather glad that he seemed not to be holding the past toward him. Vegeta could not resist it when Abian offered him a chance. "Please!" Vegeta had not taken out his board in some time, so this was an opportunity to jump back on it. Vegeta took off the top of the robes and tossed them to the floor. Last thing that he wanted was to choke himself. He balanced on the board and skated around for a moment. "Sixth year isn't what it is cracked up to be, is it?" Vegeta asked as he stepped off of the board, since he didn't want to hog it, or ignore the Hufflepuff. "I guess skate boarding is a way to forget your troubles."
