Hair: Dark drown hair, not long, but not short.

Personality.
Rob is on the Edge. He will sometimes be friendly, but it doesn't take much to get on his nerves.

History.

Childhood.
Robert is from a happy family. He has both a mum and a dad, aswell as a younger brother, James. The London based family lived in London until Rob was 10, which is when they moved to New Zealand. But Rob was always jealous of James. The minute James was born, it was as if Rob didn't exist. Rob's jealousy of James soon turned to hatred. And in a silly teenage argument when Rob was 18, he assaulted his brother, and was imprisoned for 4 Years. But Rob only served 3 of them, in his third year, he was given privileges for good behaviour. And whilst out on a prison working day, Rob escaped, and has been on the run ever since.

Prison.
Rob experienced a rough time in Prison. When he was first locked up, he was shown who was boss, and was given a nasty beating by his fellow in-mates. They took an instant disliking to Rob and he was beaten up many times. This is when Rob was forced to learn how to fight properly, and how to defend himself. It was only after 2 Years, that Rob was accepted for who he was, and from then on, his in-mates soon learnt to respect him.

Having earned respect throughout his area of the prison, Rob started to talk to some of his in-mates about escaping. It was then that he started the good behaviour, and was given privileges as his reward. Rob and his jail-friends had it all planned out, and Rob succeeded in his plan first time.

Now.
Rob has been on the run for 2 Years now, and is in search of his brother. He is a changed man now, and wants to make things up with his brother. But his Criminal Record, and the fact that he is an escaped convict, is stopping him from being able to search to much. Rob lives in a small house in Oceania. He keeps his head down, and tried not to bring up his past, when in conversation with people.

Anger.
Rob has always had a problem with controlling his anger. The minute someone annoys him that's it, no-one can stop him or try and calm him down. When he beat-up his brother James, his parents desperately tried to stop him, but he wouldn't stop until James was un-conscious.

Here are some questions which I hope can get you thinking about your character, and his past, in new ways to aid in his development.

Do Robert's first or middle names have any special meaning to him or his family?
Note: Durmstrang does not have houses (like Slytherin) that we are made aware of in the novels. So your character would not have a house if he attended Durmstrang.
Why did Robert attend school at Durmstrang if he was born in the UK and living in New Zealand? That seems an awful distance to travel for school.
Why did Robert's family move to New Zealand?
Why is Robert usually on edge? Was their some incident in his past that caused this? Was it his time in prison?
More to the point, how did being in prison effect/change Robert?
Does Robert suspect he will be on the run from the law his whole life?
If/when Robert finds his brother, how will their first interaction in many years go?
Do Robert's parents know where he is?
How was his relationship with his parents effected after he assaulted his brother?

Do Robert's first or middle names have any special meaning to him or his family? Apparently not, just a random name.
Why did Robert attend school at Durmstrang if he was born in the UK and living in New Zealand? Rob was never really a home person, he quite enjoyed the distance from his family, so maybe that's why he was motivated enough to travel that far everyday. It was Rob's choice to go there .
Why did Robert's family move to New Zealand? They went there for a holiday, and loved it, so moved over there.
Why is Robert usually on edge? Was their some incident in his past that caused this? Was it his time in prison? James is the reason that Rob is on the edge, but mainly prison. James caused the hatred and jealously that Rob felt, through being the youngest and the favourite. But prison was tough for Rob which is why he is a bit edgy.
More to the point, how did being in prison effect/change Robert? It Changed Rob, but probably for the worst. Until his last 2 Years there, the in-mates took a disliking to Rob. Which goes on to how it changed him. it toughened him up. Before he was just some boy who got jealous and assaulted his brother. Now he knows how to defend himself and has much more Mental and Physical strength than ever before, and also a lot more pride, through gaining respect in Prison.
Does Robert suspect he will be on the run from the law his whole life? Yes.
If/when Robert finds his brother, how will their first interaction in many years go? I need to update this, Rob and James have now met, and it didn't go to well, but James needs to accept things more than Rob does.
Do Robert's parents know where he is? They have been informed that he has escaped from Prison but are unaware of where he is.
How was his relationship with his parents effected after he assaulted his brother? Rob begged his parents to bail him out, but James always been the favourite, Rob got nowhere, and their relationship is like...torn into pieces then those pieces are torn up again and again, That's the only way to describe it.
What is Robert's favourite food? Haha. Random. Urm, Pizza...
