Open Rewinding

It was already some time after school started and Kiara was just doing her best to keep up with lessons, so here she was. She wanted to rewind her skills in illumination and fire spells for herbology. However, she didn't wanna do it alone, so she called over someone who she thought could be interested in that and someone who Kiara actually counted as a cool person to hang out with. Chloe. Kiara actually felt like that she hadn't really hanged out in this semester with someone that wasn't her family or her boyfriend. Or Casper.

While Kiara was waiting for Chloe, she just went through the charms book to see what she at least knew. And something she could learn too, last year protego helped her with herbology, she hoped that this semester it will happen too. So learning and repeating spells was really important for her, even if her mind was everywhere, only not in the classroom, so she was just humming some song hoping that soon she will be able to put the book away.

After feeling the pressure of OWLs all year last year, sixth year started off feeling like a breath of fresh air. Sure, there was still a lot to learn and study up on but Chloë certainly didn't feel any of the stress she had experienced last year. That didn't mean she allowed herself to slack off though, still keen on keeping her grades up during her final two years at the school. When Kiara had invited her to come hang out and possibly study some illumination and fire spells after their latest herbology lesson she had happily accepted. She had hung out a few times with the girl last year and was quite keen on establishing their friendship some more. Kiara was a fun person to hang out with after all and the fact that they both had some history in france made it even easier to connect.

"Hey!" Chloë grinned when she reached the classroom where Kiara said she would be, pulling up one of the chairs from next to her as she dropped her bag on the ground. "Wow, didn't expect you to start studying without me." She chuckled, looking at the charms book to see what spells the other girl was going over. "So how's it going?"

Kiara was slowly starting to remember the spells she learned when she was in her lower years, but she immediately put her book aside when she heard Chloe's voice. She gave her an excited smile before jumping up on her feet to go and hug Chloe. She had honestly missed even her, even with the fact that they surely weren't the closest friends, tho Kiara liked the other girl a lot.

"Oh sorry, didn't think you'd get upset by that," Kia lightly joked while giving Chloe a short hug before letting her go. "Well, it's not bad. I pretty much remember most of them but only the latest ones, what we had of these spells in the first years? Wasn't there something like Bluebell spell or something like with blue flames?" she asked Chloe while trying to find it in her book.

Chloë was a little surprised by Kiara's enthusiasm when she walked in but at the same time it felt nice the other girl was at least excited to hang out again outside of class. She laughed at Kiara's joke, happily hugging her back for a second. "I'm going to let it slide this time." She joked back before listening when Kiara told her what she had been doing. "Good question." Chloë nodded. With all the spells they learned over the years it was easier to remember recent ones and she had to admit that some older ones that she almost never used had sunken into the depths of her memory a bit. "What was it again? Fire and illumination spells?" She asked her friend, although she was fairly certain that had been it. "So I guess that's lumos, the bluebell flames one and incendio." She added as she wondered whether she was forgetting a spell or not. Either way, she was sure that if they brushed up their knowledge of those spells they'd be good.
