RAVENCLAW TRYOUTS!!

Ginny smiled at Kasey. Ginny felt her sleeve slipping and let go with one hand to pull it back up. 'My classes? A bit boring really but it's school. They're ok though I don't know half the people there. Quite annoying really but ow well,' she answered. She knew she was starting to go on a bit too much which is why she shut herself up.
Ginny laughed as Kasey said they could help each other study. 'Anythign to help a friend in need.'

"OK! BRING IT IN!!" Lily yelled from the ground. She waited for them to all take a spot before she continued. "Ok. Now that you are all warmed up and I have an idea of your flying skills, lets get this under way. I will have each of you take to the air and show me what you've got in your position. Sumner and I will be watching and making choices for who will fit best with the team now and who has great potential to make the team as alternates. If you don't make it this year, don't worry. I plan on having a fair amount of alternates to keep the team in top shape!"

Lily smiled at the bunch, then allowed her housemates to take to the sky one at a time.

(((OK. Here is how this will go. One at a time, post up your tryout for your position. Beaters: you have a bat to borrow if you don't have one of your own. Pretend the bludger was released and hit it around a few times. Seekers: godmode Lily throwing golfballs for you to attempt to seek out and catch. Keepers: godmode Lily tossing up the quaffle to be caught and making a shot on the goal. We have no keepers trying out that I am aware of, but if you want to try it, godmode Lily making a run on the goal and your defense of it. Remember, Lily is very good at keeper. lol. I have Ares Taylor's tryout already because he will be off for exams. Good luck!)))

Kasey smiled at Ginny doing one more lap at great speed and then she heard their captain, Lily yell for them to come down. She dived down to the grounds and braked her broom just in time. Smiling at her captain she listened what they had to do next. Kasey was trying out as a chaser so she would be scoring the Quaffel.

She waited for everyone to understand and then the balls were released. Kasey dived into the air and got hold of the Quaffel as soon as the red ball was released and holding it tight in her right arm she raced through the pitch. She was ascending and at the same time she increased her speed. The air blew strong across her face, this was, due to her speed. She was coming closer to the hoop. Lily was the keeper, Kasey looked at her and then swung her arm 360degrees and then aimed the Quaffel towards the hoop and released it in great force. This caused her hair tied in a lose bun to fall . She couldn't see for a moment as her brown curly hair covered her face but as she tied them back, this time, tightly she saw that she had indeed scored a goal.

She put her fist in the air, an action of victory but she still had to do more. She did a roller coaster turn in the air and then went towards the other chaser to get the Quaffel. She heard someone scream "DOGE" and she did that on that very second and luckily escaped a Bludger that had been flying to knock her head of her neck. "Thanks" she said and smiled at the player that had warned her.

Advancing towards the opposite hoop with no Quaffel in her hand, she searched for the chaser with the red ball. Spotting a guy being sandwiched by two others she realized that the middle one was the chaser she was looking for. Luckily, the boy had managed to escape from between the other boys and Kasey bent forwards on her broom racing it and flying below the boy. The boy for some reason went higher in the air and Kasey went higher behind him yet kept a distance and then he threw the Quaffel at her. She realised that he had done the Porskoff Ploy and Kasey aimed the Quaffel towards the hoop and to her luck it scored.

After more practise she directed her sapphire streak towards the ground as Lily called an end to the tryouts and sipped from her water bottle as she waited for the results keeping her fingers crossed.

When it came to Aries turn to try out he picked up his battered beaters bat and hoped it would stand to him this time as it had in the past. He straddled his broom once more and kicked off. The bludger zoomed directly for him the instant he began to climb into the air, luckily enough this time he simply ducked as there was no way he could have swung at it from the angle he was at. Climbing steadily he swerved the broom around in time to see it spinning around as if rightly ticked off and headed right for him again.

Aries drew back his right arm and swinging the bat with relative ease he whacked the bludger effortlessly down towards the north end hoops. Intent on giving it chase now to show Lily his speed as well as his batting skills, Aries leaned low on the broom and barrelled after the bludger. He watched as it changed direction but just as he thought he knew where it was going to go it veered off passing a second bludger. Aries sat up momentarily on his broom swearing mildly at the introduction of the second bludger.

As if they were working in unison they came at him from both sides. Aries slid his body to the right, sitting precariously on his broom as his hand gripped the butt of the bat and snookered the first passing bludger upwards, the bat was released so it could slide through his palm where he caught it on the shaft and swung it with some force at the next bludger sending that one back where it had come.

He did a double barrel roll making sure his way was clear before flying back down to where Lily waited. Jumping off his broom as it approached landing level, Aries smiled at her exhilarated from the exercise.

Scorpius stood on the ground, grey eyes narrowed up towards the sky, watching others perform their tryouts as he passed his worn down beater's bat that he got from his father, back and forth between his hands. He watched Aries' tryout with interest, the boy currently wearing Durmstrang Quidditch gear, had done rather well, he wasn't one to deny someone being a good player. If Scorpius didn't make the team he'd definitely ask the older Ravenclaw for lessons on improving his skill.

However Scorpius was here to tryout for the team in hopes of making it, not just watch and learn. The Ravenclaw had to show what skill he already had. Once it was his turn to take the sky, Scorpius kicked his leg over his beloved Sienna Storm and waited for Lily's signal to kick off into the ground. He was feeling much more excited after having warmed up with all the other Quidditch hopefuls so his adrenaline was pumping, making him zoom up into the air faster. Scorpius only had a few moments to clear his head, narrowing his grey eyes like a hawk in search of a bludger. His vision was rather good and he was much better suited for a Seeker position like his father had tried getting him into, however he much preferred the Beater position for some reason. It was more exhilarating and gave him a bigger thrill than being Seeker, not that it wasn't anyway.

Just as he was shaking his head to rid his mind of any other thoughts other than 'Hit the bludger', he heard one hurtling towards him from behind. Scorpius turned his broom to see behind him, calculating just how far the bludger was from him. Quickly he held his bat in his right hand and swung at it as soon as it was within distance. The ball was whacked back into the direction it came from originally though Scorpius knew it would only come back again, possibly stronger, harder, faster than earlier; he loved how bludgers seemed to have a mind of their own, forget the opposing team they'd play against, the bludgers were his real opponents. Scorpius pointed his broom upward, getting away from the line of field for the bludger and watched it with narrowed eyes as it began making its way towards his original position moments ago. It soon caught on that Scorpius had moved upward so it began going after him. Luckily Scorpius was well aware that it would do that and he had the upper hand, literally when it came to height, so he took his bat and swung at the bludger.

Once again it went flying far away in the opposite direction towards the north goal hoops and Scorpius grinned proudly in triumph. No sooner had he leaned forward on his broom to fly forward, his intentions were to trail behind the bludger so that it wouldn't hit him, then all of a sudden, a second bludger hit him square on his back. A piercing pain shot through his entire back as he arched it and writhed slightly in pain and gritted his teeth. Damn that hurt!, he thought to himself, glad that even with the impact of the bludger, his hand remained gripped tightly around his beater's bat. As if his broom had predicted his next move without actually commanding it, he turned sharply out of the second bludger's way and swung with all his might to hit the bludger. Unfortunately he hadn't exactly calculated how close or far and how fast the bludger was going, so it flew out of his range by the time he swung. Scorpius gritted his teeth in frustration, first being hit by a bludger and secondly missing it to hit it. I've blown it, he thought angrily, before he noticed the first bludger flying back in his direction.

Scorpius gritted his teeth, shaking his negative thoughts out of his mind and reminding himself to make up for his mistake and chose to remain solid in place as he sat on his broom, bat in hand and ready to attack. The bludger was getting bigger, indicating that it was coming closer, and fast, and just as it looked like it was going to hit him right in the chest and knock the air out of him, his left hand let go of his broom and held on to his bat, so that both hands were wrapped around the small bat and swung at the bludger with full force. The bludger immediately went zooming away in zig-zags, seeming as if it had gotten the air knocked out of it instead. Scorpius nodded his head once in triumph before setting off around the pitch to release some pent up frustration at having missed the second bludger mingled with sheer excitement due to his adrenaline. Now there were two bludgers to look after and he had sent the first one skyrocketing elsewhere, had he been playing a game, it would've surely hit someone, an opponent by then. His grey eyes scanned the sky for the second bludger, the Ravenclaw seemingly seeking revenge on the bludger that hit him, his back still throbbing though he paid no attention to the pain as he was playing. Once he spotted it by the south goal hoops, Scorpius sped off after it though it knew he was coming. He spent quite a while chasing after it, all the while checking his peripheral vision for the other, and when he finally felt close enough to hit it, he let go of his broom once more, leaning forward dangerously so as if he was going to tip off his broom. He swung his bat and felt the satisfying sensation of his bat colliding with the hard ball. The force of the swing caused him to lurch forward dangerously, though he grabbed hold of his broom once more, immediately leveling himself out and raised his eyebrows in amazement as he noticed the bludger he just hit colliding with the first bludger, knocking them both off course and away from him. He sighed with a grin and heard the whistle, indicating that he was done and pointed his broom downward, pocketing his bat as he descended. His feet grazed the grass and he pulled his broom sharply to stop and jumped off his broom, grinning and nodded at Lily in thanks.

Thomas heard Lily, the Captain, give the command to come down to the ground. Thomas started to decend, his nerves starting to kick in slightly. Once everyone had landed Thomas listened to the older Ravenclaw give the instructions. Once the instructions were made clear Thomas mounted his broom and kicked off as hard as he could.

He was high above the ground in no time at all. He grabbed one of the quaffles, it took a bit getting used to the weight off it, it had been years since he had played a game of Quidditch. Once he had the quaffle in hand he rose higher into the air and flew towards the goalposts.

Keep it cool, you can do this he told herself over and over again. He gave few free throws, getting the quaffle though the goals two out of her three tries. How he missed the goal with no keeper was beyond him, but hoped it wouldn't affect him getting on to the team. They're looking for mascots Thomas told himself, a bit downheartened. But he quickly pulled himself out of that when one of the people trying out for keeper joined him for a proper go at scoring goals.

With the quaffle in her hand he flew away from the goals to get a 'run up' to them. Once he was at least half way out he turned his broom and flew towards to goalposts, zipping in and out of invisible obstacles, as if there were other chasers. Once he was a few metres from the goalposts he threw the quaffle with almightly force and held his breath as he watched its path. With a sigh of relieve he saw the quaffle go in. One down two to go he thought as the keeper through it back to him. He did the same thing over again, flying out a bit and coming back in and throwing the quaffle as hard as she could, this time, the keeper caught it. It's ok you have one more turn he thought as he flew out a bit from the posts. Turning his broom he eyed up the goal posts and keeper, trying to think out the best place to aim the quaffle. This time he took a straight 'run up' to the goal posts and shot the quaffle to the far post and watched it go in.

He couldn't believe that he had actually scored two goals, it was two more than he expected. Taking the quaffle he made her way down to the ground again, a wide smile across his face. He was so happy. He landed and dismounted his broom. He lay on the ground and watched everyone else do they try-outs, hoping he did enough to get on to the team.
