Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice Y33 S1

October kept searching for the snitch, but she also kept one eye on her teammates, and was pleased when one of the chasers managed to score. "Good shot!" She called out, wishing she had something more constructive to say. Encouragement felt better than nothing though, and she flew lower, continuing her search for the snitch.

Though she hadn't enjoyed hitting Simon, Zoe was frustrated with her failure to hit the last bludger properly at all. She turned and began searching for the other one, flying a slow loop around the pitch.

Lars was relieved when Alexis first went for Simon with the quaffle, glad she hadn't gone for his side of the pitch. But once Simon blocked her goal, the girl got the quaffle again and started heading in his direction. Lars tensed up and basically froze, panicked. It had been easy to pretend the chasers at tryouts were his sister, but for some reason, his imagination failed him right now. He winced as the girl threw the quaffle and he completely failed to block it. He grabbed the quaffle after it went through the middle ring. Lars flushed, and flushed even more when she came near him to say he would do better. "Uh...." Was all he muttered, unable to form words. He fumbled the quaffle again, and dropped it to his mortification. He quickly swooped down to grab it again, then threw it back into play quickly, very much embarrassed.

Joshua was more than okay being late to practice. He really didn't know why he tried out when he sucked so bad last year. Like, last year should have been a big indicator that he shouldn't be on any team. However, the power of persuasion got to him. Alexis persuaded him to tryout and that was how he got back on the team. Not as an alternative, but an actual spot on the team. Joshua came around the pitch with a school broom, holding at his side as he looked on from the ground level. He didn't know if he should join in or wait until he spotted, Joshua stood there watching the team practice.

Alexis flew around the pitch to get the feel of being on the broom again when she spotted Joshua down on the ground. Beaming, she quickly flew low until she hovered four feet off the ground. "You're late, partner. You're not thinking of ditching practice, are you?", she teased him as she circled him before landing a friendly kiss on his cheek. "Come on, Josh. I needed someone I can pass the quaffle too.", she encouraged the boy.

Joshua followed Alexis with his eyes as she swooped down near him. "N-no, of course not," the teen blushed a bit. Joshua mounted the school's broom and took off into the spring, weather skies. Joshua flew near Lars the young keeper in his attempts to catch the quaffle.

OOCOut of Character:
Not sure if that's a legal move. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Lars watched as a chaser arrived late, but then joined the practice. He managed to get the quaffle, and Lars watched him nervously, hoping that he would attempt to score at the other end of the pitch. His confidence had taken a big hit already.

OOCOut of Character:
I threw it into play for any chaser, so you're good!

Joshua caught the quaffle, feeling a bit proud in that moment. He smiled over at Alexis briefly and then flew his broom where Simon was located at the pitch. Joshua swallowed down lightly, all his nerves flying in his belly now. Joshua took a shot in one of the hoops that was being guarded by Simon and watched it get caught by the redhead. "S-Simon, you're a natural."

It frustrated Lars a little that the other keeper seemed to be doing better than him, and it scared him too. He was sure that any moment the captains would tell him he might as well leave, and that would be deserved. He waited anxiously for the quaffle to return to his end of the pitch.

Alexis beamed as she flew after Joshua and watched as her best friend caught the quaffle and sped toward Simon. Just like her, Joshua also failed but that meant they had a good chance with Simon on guard. Simon threw the quaffle back to which Alexis caught and sped toward Lars. She knew the boy had potential and just needed some motivation. Shooting Lars an encouraging smile, Alexis went for the lowest ring. She was surprised and proud that the second year managed to block it. The shot she used was one of the things her brothers taught her. "Good job, Lars!", she cheered.

October was distracted from her search by Joshua arriving late. She frowned at the boy, frustrated by the lack of responsibility. She only got more annoyed when one of the chasers broke away from the game to greet him, blowing her whistle angrily. "In the air, both of you, now!" October yelled. "Alexis, focus on the game!" October was beginning to get exhausted with always being the one to put her foot down regarding rules, but between Jackson's silence and Jerara's lack of speech at the prefects meeting, she felt that there was no choice for her but to speak up. She kept a stern gaze on Alexis and Joshua as they returned to the pitch, frustrated with both of them. If this was how the team was acting now, how would they stand a chance in their upcoming match? She was relieved as the game continued, and at least the keepers seemed to be paying attention, sighing as she returned to her search for the snitch.

Zoe was a little distracted from her search for bludgers by one of the captains bickering with a couple of the chasers. Relieved that at least she didn't seem to be in trouble so far, Zoe returned to the chase, gripping her bat as she flew towards a bludger.

Alexis grimaced at October's scolding and even fumbled the quaffle as she was speeding toward Lars. She thought she would give the second year more practice and it actually worked since the boy managed to save it again. She smiled at Lars before speeding away, letting the other chasers had their chance of practice.

Lars felt shaky and nervous as the chaser approached again, flinching as she threw. But his hand shot out too, and he managed to knock the quaffle away. His eyes widened in surprise, and he only stared in bewilderment as the girl told him he had done a good job. He was still baffled by his save when the girl approached again with the quaffle, and he quickly flew to the hoop she aimed for and managed to save that one too. He was surprised, but also happy. He grinned shyly at her, then threw the quaffle back into play.

Alexis gave a thumbs up at Lars before catching the quaffle and sped fast for Simon. She finally got a strategy that may work against Simon. Narrowing her eyes, she skillfully dodged the bludgers until she faked a right, where she normally aimed, and deftly let the quaffle sail to the highest ring. It sailed through neatly which made the woman pumped her fist. Finally, she got a quaffle past Simon. She teasingly winked at her classmate before rounding about to the center of the pitch.
