Emilia flipped through the fashion magazine with a pencil in hand, underlining all the dresses she wished she could own and wear to the dance. She already had an outfit ready, but it didn't hurt to dream, did it? This would be her final dance at Hogwarts, and possibly the final time she had a reason to even wear a fancy dress. And as usual, for the last few years, she would go alone. Emilia sighed softly, allowing herself to daydream for a moment. It would be so much easier to stomach Derek and Athena together if she wasn't the obvious cast-off, the one standing at the sideline by herself. Emilia always loved fairy tales, and she had thought Derek was her prince. But in the end, Emilia had turned into the evil step-sister, while Athena got to be the princess at the ball. Emilia sighed, shaking her head and tucking her hair behind her ear. This wasn't about romance, this was about fashion. At least she could make a game out of seeing how many of the dresses and dress robes in the magazine she could spot at the dance. That would be something to do.

Kengi walked into the Great Hall like he had a purpose other than to eat a small lunch. He walked to the Ravenclaw table to see if he could spot Rita, but there was no sign of her. His sister’s true gift was only being found when she wanted to be. The Hufflepuff sighed and slowly made the trek to his house table. “Hey Emilia. How’s it going?” he asked and took a seat next to the girl. He peered over to looked at her magazine. “Already shopping for a dress?” he smiled and poured himself a cup of pumpkin juice.

Sorry for being so slow

Emilia looked up as she heard someone speak to her, and smiled at Kengi as he sat next to her. He wasn't someone she spoke to a lot, but she had always thought he seemed nice. It would be strange that all her classmates were going their separate ways soon, so it was nice to talk to him for a bit. "Hello Kengi, I'm doing alright." She said, smiling. "Actually, I already have one." She admitted a little sheepishly. "But I enjoy looking anyway." She shrugged a bit. "Are you going to the dance?"
