Hufflepuff, Slytherin

It was a beautiful day for quidditch. The sun was shining, perhaps a little too brightly, but the breeze was lovely. Reeve moved about the pitch as the stands filled up, whistling while he worked. The man was eager for the day's events. He was sure it was going to be an exciting game. Both teams had an incentive to not be in fourth place for the quidditch cup, and he expected them to play their hearts out.

OOCOut of Character:

Arrivals only please. Captains: Please be sure your lineups are all set up in the QCP prior to posting it in here!

Charlotte knew she likely wouldn't play, but the Hufflepuff sat excitedly as she waited for the game to start. She hoped they would kick Slytherin's butt, but she knew it was going to be a tough game. The second year had tied numerous gold and yellow ribbons around her hair as it hung down to her chin, almost giving off the impression that she had tried to make herself look like a lion. But she didn't care - she felt festive.

Sofi knew it was unlikely she would play in today's match unless Bailey was bludgered out of the game which was a horrible compromise to think about. She turned up for the game hoping that wouldn't happen and joined the Hufflepuff team before the game started. Her teammate Charlotte was there, "Oh I love your hair!" She told her, looking at all the ribbons she had tied in it for the occasion.

Sayuri stepped out onto the pitch - she just needed the team to do their thing and then she wouldn't have to worry. As long as the Seeker did what the Seeker was supposed to do then, she could focus on doing her job too. Like getting their points up a little higher.

Jonah entered the Pitch and settled with his team, looking across the other team at Sayuri warily. He saw her at her last game and it seemed that she was getting along with one of the older chasers on their team. They were going to be a difficult pair to fly through. Hopefully, he won't embarrass himself this time.

Callie walked on to the quidditch pitch, absolutely ready for the game that they were about to play.

Enoch just wanted to get to playing, he hated how long it always took to be able to get started. To get the game underway. He was stood waiting for the captain to speak and for them to get ready and he just wanted to get to playing.

Susie was not feeling it today. Her stomach hurt, her muscles were achy, and she'd had next to no sleep. She'd briefly considered letting an alternate take her place, but she couldn't stand the thought of Hufflepuff winning without her, so she dragged herself down to the pitch, looking and feeling like death, and waited for the game to start.

Ignatius sighed, he almost didn't want to try very hard as he didn't think his team deserved to win. But by the same token, he did want the glory of victory for himself, so he'd push through.

Sunny was bored of sitting on the bench during matches, but she knew she just had to be patient and her time would come to whack bludgers at people outside of training. She kept her cheery spirit as she walked out onto the pitch and joined Ignatius and the other Slytherins for the captains pre-match words.

Kanako knew why she had to come to games, but she also thought it was a waste of time. How many beaters did they really need in reserve? She walked onto the pitch nevertheless, ready to hear the no doubt few words the captain would have for them.

Horror Zhefarovich arrived to the pitch and saw that his team was already there. Figured that he would be among hte last to arrive. He didn't prepare a speech, or even bother talking. They weren't going to get the cup anyway, so he didn't really want to say to give it their all. He handed over the card for the ref, and went back to his team. "Since we aren't going to win the cup, just give out as much pain as you can."

Sybil knew she was only an alternate and she knew they had no chance at the cup but still she was excited to be there. She also knew that wanting to play would mean one of her team mates would have to be knocked out, which she didn't want. But there was still a flicker of hope in the back of her mind. For now she'd be happy to sit on the bench and cheer on her team. She stood with the rest of them and made a face as Horror gave them an.....interesting speech, if she could even call it that. Maybe she'd have a better chance at playing for the other team.

Oz once again found himself wondering what he was doing here. He would try, but he was not a very good player. Still, he wasn't about to quit out on the team or anything and instead just waited patiently for the start.

Hufflepuff hadn't gotten off to the best start and Bailey had been extremely disappointed she hadn't been able to win them their first game. It put them out of contention so fast due to the shortened season they now played. Still, she was determined to end their season on a high, she walked out onto the pitch and handed the team sheet to the referee before she went to address her team.

"Ok gang, not our best work against Ravenclaw but today is a new day and I know you'll give it your all, we've worked hard and I like what I've seen from you all, lets get out there and show everyone just how dangerous Hufflepuff can really be,"

Alana chuckled at Horror's pregame speech. She liked the sentiment and would have as much fun as possible hitting bludgers at people.

Reeve reviewed the lineups, and then briefly spoke to the captains before sending them back to their teams. The referee cast the Sonorous charm on himself, "Hufflepuff will keep the northern hoops and Slytherin, the southern hoops. Let's get into the sky!"

The referee released the snitch and bludgers, grabbed the quaffle, kicked off the ground and in moments was starting the game with a toss of the quaffle and a "Game on!"

OOCOut of Character: Game notes, please read

1. Be sure to review the rules. Any questions regarding the rules should be sent to your captain(s). If they cannot answer or need additional clarity to support you, they can PM me.
2. If you have any issues seeing the score on the referee's first post or with your access to the quidditch system, please send a PM including both me and your captain(s). It may be that they've forgotten to add you to the system or may be a bigger issue.
3. You should refresh the page before you post! Someone might sneak in a post while you are working on yours and first post counts.
4. You should always be pressing a button, whichever is appropriate for your game play during your post. Doing so boosts your success rate as well as allows the timer to kick in appropriately for your teammates and opponents.
5. After a player is hit by the bludger 3x, gameplay should stop. This allows for a quicker return to game post- substitution.
6. The game is meant to be interactive, so read your fellow players posts before posting! Stick with the game from beginning to end, from kicking off the ground to touching back down! Have fun!

With Sayuri in the other team, Jonah knew that between the chasers, it would be a matter of speed. He quickly mounted his broom and shot off, grabbing the quaffle and making his way to the hoops.

Sayuri jumped on her broom and soared into the air, waving cheekily to Jonah when she saw him grab the quaffle. She chased after him, hoping to get close enough to him to grab the quaffle.

Bailey kicked off and as soon as the game began she started searching for the snitch.

Alana started the game by looking for bludgers but they quickly got out of her reach.

Ignatius set off searching for the snitch before his RPer went to bed and he hopefully didn't miss the whole game.

Jonah threw the ball towards the hoops only to be solidly blocked by the other team's captain and he couldn't help but glare, frustration already sinking in at the start of the game.

Sayuri flew closer than she needed to across Jonah on her way to collect the quaffle after his miss, and she saluted him as she headed towards the other end of the pitch with the Quaffle in hand.

Bailey couldn't find the snitch.
