if you rp that you have a pet already (ex; Clover already had a cat before she came to Hogwarts) it won't be in ur vault, so it will look like you don't have it.

This is a decent point that I'm sure has been brought up in the past.
In the present it's easiest to just buy a pet at a pet store and then possibly just ignore your character having bought it/met those shopkeepers and RP like it was always with them.
