Sianna liked halloween a lot, despite the fact that she'd never really had a great time aside from her first one where she had met Lennon and started upon that friendship. This year she had decided on a costume that didn't involve much work, a dress and a crown, but since she was a little older, and now a prefect, she decided to go as a queen rather than a princess, with a rather grander sort of dress and a more sparkling crown. She felt proud, she felt certain of herself and she was feeling more confident. It was a good feeling as she walked into the great hall. She smiled at a few people that she knew as she walked in, she still had her camera to take pictures of the event. Sianna smiled easily as she walked through, taking a couple of pictures of some of the people standing idly around the hall. She always loved the way people chose to dress, the costumes people picked, the way they celebrated things. The girl stopped at the drinks table and poured herself a drink. Taking small sips of it as she enjoyed the beginning of this evening. It was going to be a great evening, she knew it already. Even if she had no one to be with at this celebration, she would still very much enjoy it.

Amber had enjoyed the Halloween feast at the school every year so far, though she hadn't always had a costume prepared. Her favorite year was still the time she and Ainsley had worn matching doll outfits, it had been so much fun! She didn't think their friendship was at that level yet after their falling out last year, but Ainsley had helped her get her hippie costume together. They had made the flower crown together, and it had felt like old times.

The best part about this feast, though, was seeing everyone else at their best. She saw so many funny and interesting costumes that she wished she had a camera to take pictures with. Of course, they were all going to be in Accio at the end of the year which was good because Amber saw a few costumes that seemed to have been a lot of work. Her own was very simple, but she still thought she looked cute. As she walked, she noticed November chatting to a girl she thought was in Gryffindor and also in their year and she frowned slightly. Now the girl had found her tongue, but whenever Amber was around she barely said two words. It only added to her suspicion that the other Hufflepuff didn't like her, and she decided against joining the two.

She decided to get a drink instead, but stopped when she saw a girl already standing there, Amber stared at her for a second. She was dressed so beautifully she didn't know what to say for a moment. The girl was in the year ahead of her, she was pretty sure, though Amber didn't know her name. After a little while she snapped out of it and decided this girl definitely needed a compliment about her beautiful dress and crown. "Wow," Amber said as she approached, smiling at her. "Sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to say your costume looks incredible. You look like a real queen out of a storybook."

Sianna was surprised when someone spoke, she looked over and saw the girl, she vaguely recognised her from taking pictures of the different students in their clubs. The teen just smiled at her as she complimented her. Sianna couldn't help but blush slightly, but she nodded, "Thank you," the teen said with the confidence she had gained from all her recent success, from the girl just felt better about it, "I like your costume too, a hippy right?" she asked her. The teen did actually like the costume, she couldn't say that she thought the girl's costume was incredible or that she was straight from a story book. There was no way that she could meet that level of compliment, even if the girl did look very pretty, "It's very pretty," she then added before deciding to take a picture of the girl, Sianna took the camera that she had and held it up, "Do you mind if I take a picture? It'll be for the yearbook?" Sianna smiled warmly at the girl, she would've probably take a picture from affair but at the very least the girl would have a nice close up picture. It was part of her job as a yearbook photographer to take such pictures, but she didn't usually take that many profiles at this event.

Amber felt good about complimenting this girl on her costume, she should be doing that more while she was here. Everyone seemed to have worked hard on their Halloween looks and it was nice to be appreciated for your hard work, wasn't it? Amber nodded in reaction to the girl's question. "Thank you. Yes, I'm a hippie. It's simple but I like it, I've been too busy to put too much work into it." She admitted, though she wasn't sure why. She was pretty sure the girl was one of the Ravenclaw prefects, so she was probably very busy as well, which made her amazing appearance even more impressive. Amber hadn't noticed the camera until the girl picked it up, and she was very surprised when the girl asked if she could take a picture. She blushed slightly and adjusted her flower crown nervously. "Oh, um, sure. I didn't know you were here for the yearbook." She said, giving a small smile for the photo. She clasped her hands together in front of her, hoping her hair didn't look messy. "Go ahead."
