Open after Kaitlyn posts with @Cole Dragonov

Elliot knew it was silly to still be intimidated by older students, but he couldn't help it, especially students he didn't really know. He'd been hovering by the Slytherin table, checking and re-checking his list until a passing Slytherin had taken pity on him long enough to point out who Cole was. Stowing his list, Elliot made his way over, clearing his throat nervously and hoping he wasn't interrupting anything. "Excuse me, are you Cole? Dragonov?" Elliot asked, holding his rose basket tightly in front of him with what he hoped was a friendly smile.

 

[Cole Dragonov]

Cole was working on a homework assignment when he heard someone ask if another was Cole Dragonov. He glanced up to see a Hufflepuff talking to him. He set his quill down and nodded, "Yeah, that's me." He wasn't too friendly, nor did he sound rude at all. He saw that the boy was holding a basket. Right, rose deliveries.

Elliot was relieved when Cole didn't seem too put upon by his interruption, digging around in his basket for the note and rose. "Oh good, uh, here." He offered the rose and note. Elliot wished he didn't feel as embarrassed when giving out pink roses, even if he had zero to do with it, but it still felt oddly personal. At least it wasn't a red one.

Cole chuckled a bit and took the rose and the note. Right, maybe he should have wrote something to Diana. She wrote to him. At least pink meant that it was a crush. “Thanks, kid.” Cole stood up, tucked the note into his pocket and went to the Slytherin common room. He figured that now might be the best time to ask Diana out for the Valentine’s dance. Granted, if this school did that.
