Professor Moncrieffe's Office

[Professor Gabrielle Moncrieffe]

In contrast to what you might expect from a history professor's office, Professor Gabrielle Moncrieffe's office is almost too perfectly neat and tidy. One can only suspect that it might become more messy over time (and if you catch a glimpse of it in off-hours you'll see otherwise), but for now it would almost be confused for a showroom study. If it weren't for the exceedingly comfortable and slightly worn couch against the wall. In front of it is sat a small table with a few books scattered over it. There is a bookshelf on the other wall, with the desk up near a window that is enchanted to give a bright summery look to the place, where you can look out to see an ocean view. There is a potplant in the corner that is terribly looked after and looks a little sad and droopy (although sometimes Gabrielle can actually remember to water it)! Her chair is something of a regular office chair that would not look out of place in a muggle office, with another one in front of the desk that either students can sit in or she'll sit in while students are welcome to take the couch. Sit on the couch at your own peril, as you may struggle to get out from it unaided.

There is also a mail slot on the door if the office is locked when Gabrielle is out of office. Feel free to slot in homework assignments or notes at any time. The office is frequently open - Gabrielle will remind her students that if they're struggling with anything she's happy to provide judgement-free advice and assistance. She is also open to collaboration on any personal research projects students may have and will gladly point students in the right direction. All you need to do is ask!
