Indi had been trying to find the perfect place to study for a while now. The library was the obvious location to go and while she did like it there it was getting crowded this time of year as everyone started to cram for exams. She didn’t find it very fair that people who had been going there to study all semester were being pushed out of their usual spots, but it wasn’t like she could do anything about that. The student lounge was too loud and the same went for the common room and her dorm. But the abandoned classroom on the second floor was just right. Quiet and out of the way so most people never even saw it and Indi was eager to claim it as her own if only for a little bit. But it was a shame that it was so secluded. She wanted to practice some of the jinxes and other spells she had learned in Defense Against the Dark Arts but it wasn’t like there was anyone around to volunteer to help her with that.

River had been studying in the library. She had quite a few essays to work on recently. The History of Magic Professor did not lie when she mentioned it would be a year of essays. However, River soon found herself unable to spread out with all her books and materials as many more students flocked into the library, working just as hard as she was. River had given up most of her table to other students, finding it a little too cramped of a surrounding to finish up her essays. Although she considered going outside for a little while to work, today was rather cold. Instead she decided to find a more quiet and definitely warmer area to finish up her essay.

The young Slytherin wandered throughout the corridors trying to remember which floor the abandoned classroom was on. She had used it a few times her first year at Hogwarts to practice for exams or just to get out of the Slytherin dormitory. After walking a few floors, River found herself on the second floor right, finally finding the empty classroom she was looking for. Well normally empty classroom. Instead as the purple haired girl entered the room, she noticed another girl already had taken camp in the classroom. River smiled at the other girl, who looked familiar. We share a dorm I think River thought knowing she was completely lacking in socialization yet again this year.

It was too late to turn around and find another area. Plus this was certainly less crowded than her other options. "Hey" River said to the girl, hoping that she was not completely brain-missing and interrupting some alone time. "Mind if I take a seat over there and get some work done? All these essays this semester are piling up." She added the last part to her question, not sure if she would leave if the young girl did not agree. It was not like River had any other place to go. It seemed silly that one person could take the entire classroom up. River would be quiet. She would not be a bother anyway.

Indi looked up from her reading and recognized the girl from lessons and their dorm. She hadn't bothered to learn the other girl's name yet but she was at least one of her least annoying roommates. "Hello." she said slowly and considered her question. There was a part of her that wanted to keep her claim on this space but she could recognize there was something as 'too quiet' and it might be nice to have someone around to study with for a change. "Sure." she said finally. "That's fine." she added with a sigh and watched the other girl closely. "What essays do you have left?" she asked and leaned forward slightly, decided to try and be more social than she usually would be when she was studying.
